Dude sick that brown chasing the rainbow!
Hi Norm, been seeing more of you on James channel. Its funny as James put his out first I thought it was going to be like watching the same thing twice. But it was not, I really enjoyed that. And I am sure every body will pick up on the naughty brown. You don't see that every day. Loved the streamer fishing bit. I love the shot of the line in the water just before the take. I do try to get a few of them in on my videos. Great video Norm. Best to James and you both take care. Shaun UK.
Look out for my next video...you get a shout out! Thanks for watching & comments! I appreciate the insight. Cheers my friend 🍻
Dude that Brown chase was sick! Great video Sir! Keep em coming
It’s great to share the things we experience....but totally awesome I could record that.
Norm! Great video. You were actually one of the first people I talked to when I first started fly fishing. Helped me get set up at the shop. Great video. Will be there next month hope to get into some good fish!
Thanks and glad you kept at it! See you around next month! Thanks for watching.
Wow! Awesome! Those streamers did the trick. Great video Norm!
3:15 dope!!
Great video, awesome fishing!
Thank you for watching!
Euro Nymphing is life!
Very nice video, I thought the Quality Wader on the San Juan had a single fly regulation.
two fly max on a rig, barbless hooks
Got it, thanks much. Great sound quality on you videos.
Norm love the vid. I would love to hear more about the Stillwater. I am considering that 10’ 6wt for a streamer rod. How would it do as a big River indicator/hopper dropper rod? I own the shadow x 3110 and love it. A lot of rod for the Money. Thanks for the vids.
The stillwater is adaptable to transition to a dry dropper or indicator set up, especially in the big water situations. If you look at the San Juan video, my girlfriend is using the Stillwater 5wt to nymph...its on point. Glad to hear you love the Shadow X...Cheers and thanks for watching.
Hey great video man!! Been watching a lot of videos cause I was looking to head out to the San Juan this week. Do you know of any fly shops close by I could stop at before?
There is Float & Fish, the best shop there.
I hope you would do a tying tutorial on those streamers or an ingredient list. How do you get the pink belly on the smaller squirrel streamer? And what's going fishing in NM w/o a cracked windshield? Getting your windshield fixed is only a massive invitation for another rock to hit it.
These streamers are prototypes & will not have a tying tutorial just yet. The pink body is Micro UV Polar Chenille - Pink. As far the crack windshield....yes & yes haha! Cheers Scott.
Does Euro Nymphing work on the Juan? It sure does! Used a leader that you tied up as a thanks for attending a class at Los Pinos. It sat in my bag for a year, but I finally committed to it a couple of weeks ago. Caught and released my largest San Juan fish yet- - nice 26” model that worked me on the 11’ 3wt.
That's awesome Curtis! I have yet to get anything over 22" on the Juan lol. Thanks for taking the class and glad the info was useful to you. As well, thanks for watching the vids!
Heading down to Rio Bravo to get some channels and blue's out the Rio
How is the Scott centric in the 10’ 4wt? Are you guys familiar with it at the shop?
Haven’t casted or fished the 10’ 4wt centric. So I have no reference or experience with that configuration. I have casted the 9’ 4wt & 5wt....It’s is their fastest rod.
I keep hearing that mop flies work at the San Juan using euro nymphing method. Have you tried those there?
I have not personally tried the mop on the San Juan. But definitely doesn’t hurt to give it a try. If you do let me know....if I do, I’ll mention it ha.
Green mop yeah
All I have to say is that you need a new windshield. 😃
Sorry brother, that keeps my New Mex status legit😂
How would indicator nymphing work on those euro rods? I’m asking because of how the slow flat water of the San Juan isn’t very friendly to euro techniques and with the recent breaking of my trusty 9’5wt, I have no choice but to use my 3wt shadow 2 as my main nymphing rod.
Edit: I’m very new to euro nymphing so I haven’t mastered euro nymphing in slow water.
Adding an indicator on a Euro Leader works well...I do have a couple videos that demonstrate that. However, leader configuration does make a difference in how it all casts. Also, some Euro rods may not be able to handle the added weight or air resistance of indicators. The rod I am using is capable of handling that. Thanks for the question and watching the vids.
I can never figure out why since I was a kid that there is constant chem trails going over the San Juan or near..all them Navajos in Farmington are crazy..just all Dine and that's Dineeh
I’m guessing your on shrooms and working on the tail end of a 30pk.
@@NMaktimaFlyFishing no can you get shrooms?... Been looking for awhile now... and no I just finished two pints of importers..even better can you get acid and blue's
I should do a new youtube thing, fishing on drug's and alcohol dangerously, but still catching as much and better
You think this is cool, I've done numerous trips kayaking down the Rio grande tripping on mushrooms with thirty packs of beer and bottles of jack catching 30-40 lb catfish in Albuquerque
It's fun with other people..I've fallen in the river I don't know how many times losing my wallet, phones, beer, etc...
Try to catch a 40 pounder on mushrooms in a small kayak...
You need to learn how to handle a fish dude
5 months later and I'm still laughing at this comment
Awesome video. Have a great one.
