    My Irish Grammy used to make these for all of us , sadly she’s gone now . Maybe I can take up where she left off in her memory .

    You're exactly right that making a dishcloth is a terrific way to learn stitches. I like experimenting with different borders too.

    I've looked at a lot of videos for a simple dishcloth, and yours is by far my favorite, just what I was looking for, thank you!

    Hi! Thanks for teaching us crochet, I am new at it for I am a knitter but always wanted to learn because its more free form.. I have a question, my row of these ladder type stitch is very tall compared to yours, my tension is tight yet they are very tall, not sure what’s wrong but if you could shed some light on it? Thank you😊

    I love the dishcloth. I want to try to do this! I have a couple of dishcloths and they seem to stay fresher than a ''cloth'' dish cloth. I love your kitties!!

    This is a wonderful tutorial! I have watched several other dishcloth tutorials for absolute beginners, and yours is by far the easiest to follow and understand. Thank you for sharing it with the world!

    I’ve had these crochet videos on my list to watch for months! I’m a self taught crocheter and have been doing it for years, but still make a lot of mistakes. This video is so helpful! Using stitch markers at the beginning of the rows is such a game changer! Thanks for posting this. 💞

    @7:54 you chained 2 and skip 2?
    Is it always like this in single crochet stitches and half double etc?
    Meaning when you make chains before turning you always have to skip the same amount of stitches before inserting the hook to start new row?
    Where do I find answers to questions?

    How do you finish off the last stitch before weaving it in?

  • @freemanmt

    Why did you skip to the third in the single crochet at @3:47?
    Why not skip one and insert the hook on the second chain from the hook?
    I am a beginner who wants to know the reason not just follow along.
    Can you help direct me, please?
    Much appreciated.
    Love the rustic no color yarn.

    Thank you so much for taking the time to make a tutorial! I have been trying to learn crochet 🧶 and a girl told me that she had trouble also but she learned to make a granny square first. I learned the granny square a week or so ago. Your dishcloth has taught me two more stitches though. Thanks again!! Btw, I bought a French linen sheet from you years ago!! I still love ❤️ it!!
