Really nice pattern! I wanted to make myself some new washcloths out of colorful single skeins. Just got them stolen from little folks. They are Barbie blankts now 🙈😅.
I LOVE these and the color scheme you chose!
Girl I love your work!
Great video! Your voice is so pleasant and friendly... your instructions are easy to follow as well! Thank you for showing the way you rolled up the dishcloth at the end for gifting. I normally knit my dishcloths, but I will be adding some of these as well!
Just found your video, I love it, you do such a good job and teach it so well!! Love that you make a
big enough cloth to wash dishes or whatever with, small cloths are pretty, but not good for wash-
ing dishes with, (in my opinion). Have been in hospital for well over a year, so videos and crocheting
are a big part of my life, have just recently graduated to being able to use a wheelchair, so I get
excited when I nice such a good video done with such a nice tutorial and great patterns!
Thank you for sharing and keep up the good work!!
Bobbie from Terrace, B.C., Canada. Today us February 26th, you were showing the
salt and pepper dishcloth.🌑😍
How can a washcloth be so gorgeous?! I love the yarn you chose.
Loved it beautiful tank you for sharing
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your color choices!!! So happy I found and can share you with my Mom, Sis, and my girls.

Beautiful. I love these colors
Beautiful! Seems like an easy enough pattern to follow, I just have trouble with borders.
I love watching-- I am a beginner and I can SEE what you are doing!!!
Absolutely love this design thank you😍
BEAUTIFUL !!!! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS. !!!
Thanks for the video. I like how slow you went . Very easy to follow.
I absolutely love your color choices for this!!! And thank you for telling us the names and brands that you used also. This is definitely something I cannot wait to try thank you so much for doing this I truly appreciate it!
Thank you for sharing this with us it is pretty. God bless you!!
Very nice. I love the yarn you used.
I’ve tried this stitch and couldn’t get my ends straight. You explained it perfectly, I’m creating it now, and it’s perfect!! I’m subscribing!!
Maria Friend what stitch is this
@@ripriles4141 hola por favor le pueden quitar las letras no se ve nada como teje gracias
Omg! You are amazing!! I have tried many washcloth patterns in the last few days and yours is by far the easiest, the best and your yarn choices are the prettiest...thank you so much for sharing!! Can’t wait to check out your other videos and you’re very easy to follow also!! thanks again! I subscribed. 😊
I just made one Nd love it even though I messed up one corner. Practise makes perfect. The reason I tried this was to learn different stitches and borders.
I love this pattern! You did an excellent job!!!
Thanks for sharing! I'm going to try this!
Cool. I believe that if you added just one more dc stitch, making each shell 3 stitches instead of 2, you'd have the Blanket Stitch. Thanks.
Love this video! Can’t wait to make one. 😊
Hi, these dishcloths are beautiful! Do you have a simple placemat tutorial or would you be willing to make one? Thank you for your videos!
Nw subscriber here. Love how you teach tutorials! Thank you! You must have a son or hubby tromping up and down stairs!! 😜. Heavy footed for sure! Lol.
Beautiful colors and design!! I love your voice and pace. Most crochet videos go too fast and I get lost. Thank you for repeating the same instruction several times. :))
JUST HIT THE PAUSE BUTTON.....THEN RESUME.
Hi! I'm a new subscriber. Your work is gorgeous! ❤
love this video.....Thank you...
Hello, glad I found you. Thank you. Beautiful!! It's easy and I love it! I will get started this weekend Thank you again , great video. Easy to understand and easy to see the demonstration on the video. :)
Just in case anyone else was wondering if this can be made bigger or smaller- it's a multiple of 4 chains. I was able to expand it up to 44 and make a hand towel!
Love this pattern, making a second one.
Very pretty!
Nice.
I like this where did you get your yarn
Adorable !
Great instructions 😍
Hi!! Where can I find this large size of Bernat Handicrafter cotton yarn?? Thank you.
I've made this initial square over and over, reviewing your motions carefully, but I CAN NOT figure out how to make the sides connect correctly when you do the single crochet all the way around before adding the new color. Only one of my four sides provides obvious stitches to loop into, but the other three have either a weird knot in between each stitch, or don't have a full stitch at all. Yet, if you saw my initial square alone, you wouldn't say it looks wrong. I can't tell where to enter my hook consistently. And it's not a problem with the corners- I've got that figured out. I've made four now, and went ahead and added the color with no problem, but they are all wonky due to that side issue.
Do you spray your crochet work with water and stretch it straight on a board to make it so nice & square or is it that mine is just a mess? Love how clean your edges are.
Amy Shoemaker I didn’t with this pattern. If you block yours it should straighten out ❤️
I made coasters for my son-in-law. The edges rolled up. I have only been crocheting for a couple of months. How do you block them? @@mjsoffthehook
I wood like to learn how to work with on a washcloth today thanks you
İ have attempted the chain, the single crochet, and the double crochet more than 12 times; no matter what i do, there are gaping holes ....i would do the chain again to make it loose and if that didn't work, i would try it tight. Another time i tried not skipping chains, but no matter what, gaping holes....
Does the 2nd chain from the hook also mean the same thing as when you say "skip the next chain"? (In other words, when you 'skip the next chain" will the hook be in the second chain from the hook. Does the second chain from the hook just mean the "next"chain from the hook? Can someone please explaon because i have done it over 5 times and watched tbe video multiple times and cannot wer where she is pointing. Please let me know. Thank you 😊 💓
Just checked all the comments to see if I would be repeating anything, anyway may i have the brand of your hook please, I love inline hooks, this looks like a nice weighted steal hook, I use a lot of susan bates, as they are inline. I don't like tapered hooks any more. love your Tutorial and you hook. :) TIA
Cindy Wendt these are red heart but I’m not sure if you can still get them. Walmart sold them a few years ago. I buy Susan Bates now to replace them.
I know this has been on here for a while, but I just found it. I love this! Can you please tell me the multiples are for the chain if I want to make it a little bigger? I know the cotton yarn shrinks a lot, so don't want it too small. Thanks in advance!
MJ,
What are the multiples for this cloth? I love this stitch, but I have a customer that wants it to only measure 5x5, she doesn’t want a big one.
Thanks
Jeanne
Beautiful
Great color combination! How many would one chain for smaller sizes?
@@dorisb6364 Thanks!
That's way too big for me, but glad I can decrease size, I've never Dern them that huge
New subbie here. Beautiful! I was wondering if there is a pattern for a smaller one? TFS!
You should be able to do this pattern using any multiple of 2
Is that yarn thicker then other brands of cotton? It looks more round and thicker
It is a bit thicker than some but is classed as #4
Really beautiful.. Wont be able to use it.. Hahaha
I'm feeling the same way! I'm planning on a larger size as a towel too!
I think this I called the wattle stitch look it up there is a beautiful blanket pattern
ruclips.net/video/_c5zWVpFRDs/видео.html
I bought this yarn in salt and pepper and sonoma colors. Made a bunch of Dishcloths as Christmas gifts and made one for me too. I just used it for the first time and FYI the black in the yarn bleeds really bad. It washed out but I will have to let everyone know in advance because it was pretty shocking. Did this happen to you too?
Do u put the 3 stitches in the same stitch in the corner weh making the corner border.
You could but for this pattern she worked 1sc, 2 ch and 1 sc first row, then 1 sc, 2 ch and 1 sc in the 2-ch space for the next rows.
If I wanted to make it smaller, how many do I need to chain?
It depends how much smaller you want to go? Just chain an even number less than 32. Thanks
How can I make this smaller, how many should I chain on?
What is the multiple for this pattern. As I want to make a dish towel.
THE YARN THAT YOU CALL SALT PEPPER WOULD BE NICE FOR A REALLY PRETTY SHAWEL THAT I AM WORKING ON WHAT STORE DID YOU GET IT FROM
Amazon
Hi! I was wondering if the color Sky for border is the same as Robins Egg color? I can’t seem to find one in Sky, but maybe it’s a different brand?
They are different. I purchased my sky color at Walmart so it might be exclusive to the store. Thanks!
I can't find it anywhere either.
I love the finished border on this dishcloth it makes it look so much more completed and elegant!! I wanted to ask, how to decrease the size properly. I wanted to make slightly smaller one''s, I'm still very new to crocheting & have no clue how to make it smaller the right way (if there is a wrong way)? Thank you so much!!! :D
Stephe VL03 I would decrease by 2’s so instead of chaining 32 you could chain 30, 28, 26 etc
Please, what is the multiple of this pattern? Thanks
What is the pattern, where can I find it? And how do you make it so square! ?
When you yarn over, sometimes you grab the yarn underneath the yarn and sometimes over the yarn?? Just looks different to me.
I apologize for the confusion. I have changed my technique since this video.
@@mjsoffthehook I love the technique you used in this video. Beautiful work.
Isn’t this the Suzette stitch?
Are you doing one s and next ds?
1 SC then 1DC, in the same sitch. ;)
Can u provide a link for that yarn....I cant find those yarns on line......
Adaliz Bazan I purchased them in a Walmart store. You can check Walmart online. What country are you in?
Does this stitch have a name?
Lisa Wilcoxon ....we know this as the Suzette stitch,
hope this helps.
For a beginner tutorial it would be best to use a SOLID color yarn. js
