I researched a long time before purchasing my next DSLR. I ended up with the 80D and shoot amateur sports mostly. I love my 80D! The best comment I got was a new parent said "Our old team had a photographer, but her photos are nothing like your photos!". The only downside I can see is if you want 4K video, which wasn't a dealbreaker for me.
@@RyanPutranto lol Yeah, those points are true. Of course there's no camera that comes anywhere close to hitting the same price point with those features. "There are a few downsides, it doesn't handle like a Lotus, doesn't accelerate like a Porsche, or have the interior of a Bentley." True, and it cost the same as a Toyota Camry. lol
Thanks for your video, very informative. I have the 60D and the 70D and for six months now can't stop thinking about the 80D. The only reason I haven't bought it is I thought Canon would come out with a 90D and I would skip the 80 just knowing the 90 would have it all. But I suppose they came up with the EOS R instead which costs 3 or four times more, so I'm thinking of the body of a 80D and and better 75 to 300 zoom lens instead of the kit lens, i really see the difference in a kit lens and a better lens, but not sure which one i only have two lens one is 18 to 135 which is a must, and a little bit better than the 75 to 300 kit lens. I do arial photography, hummingbirds, lots of sports, races motorcycles and sprint cars, and flowers, and astrophotoghy, that lens is a 8" over 2,000mm for the moon and clusters and nova's, but I also want a good lens for the milky way without the telescope lens, if you could recommend a good lens, that would nice. I thank you
In my 20’s I was a wedding photographer and worked in a local camera shop. Just recently retired and NEEDED to find something to do. My wife said I should get back into photography. The 80D was my purchase. Coming from a Bronica 6X7, modern cameras have features that will take me years to learn. Half the fun is learning the new features that I can utilize.
Got my 80D 5 years ago and I love it. I need to upgrade to a camera for 4K video, but for my photo needs I have no problem keeping this camera in my rotation especially in situations where I don't want to put more expensive gear at risk.
Got my 80D in February 2019, using mostly L series lenses. It has taken some of my best photos so far. Also has great video also and I don’t need 4K video. For the price it is a great camera.
Been using it for almost two years now, almost every day. Never leaves my side, and I haven't had any issues with it. Fantastic pictures and video. Very solid camera, externally and internally. The 18 -135 lens that's included is APS-C, so there's no crop/magnification as you would get on a full frame lens. I recommend this camera all the time.
Actually there still is a crop factor to consider. The EF-S lens lengths are given as if they are for FF despite not fitting on them. If you have a 40 or 50mm prime put those on and then tell me that they are more "zoomed" in than the 18-135 would be at those same setting. Certainly do enjoy my 80D but none lenses you'd buy for it will already account for the crop factor in their labelling. Now there are some you don't get the full range on for all focus points but that's usually due to lens construction.
I love mine. Of course, I'm not big on keeping up with every new model. I upgraded from a Canon 40D. If you wait several generations, you'll be really excited about your new camera! Plus I can use all my old glass still.
Currently I am working with a Canon T6. I am an entry level photographer and although I am keeping an eye on the 80D as my next body it is glass I am really looking at. The 70-200 f4 is in my sights. Because I am an amateur the f4 is a better economical range for me at this point to be looking at. Just have to remember that the brighter light is better for f4. I hope they do come out with a 90D or whatever soon for it will make the 80D come down in price. But for anyone out there that thinks they have to have the cutting edge but you are not a professional just stop already. It is not the gear but your eye and knowledge of your equipment you are using that is going to get you those tasty pictures. And that is not even talking about what you can do in post. The 80D is an amazing camera for that next step up in bodies. Just don't forget it is the glass that is most important. Invest in that before you upgrade your body. 18-35 f4 24-70 f4 70-200 f4 That is my list for glass I would love to get before I step up my body. The 2.8 or better will be what I will look at when I finally go full frame. If you are an amateur these telescopic lenses will be amazing for your collection and give you good results is not amazing. They will give you the range you want then go for primes. That is my opinion anyways.
Bought my 80D in May 2018, upgraded from a T6 that bought in November 2017 because the features were more robust in the 80D. So far it has been a great purchase. Works flawlessly for landscape and general photography work. Great prosumer level camera. Packed with pro features for a consumer price.
Alan Zamora just use what you got until you can afford to upgrade. I do street photography, portraits with a Canon T6, gonna use it to start my youtube channel.
For the level the photography I am at now, extremely happy. I started in the early 70's with Canon F1. Total of 3. Always happy with Canon. Love my 80D, but if the 90D has 4K will purchase.
I am a wedding photographer and I have been shooting eos 80d since 2016 and I want to upgrade and am looking at buying the old eos 6D bcos it's a fullframe body but am confuse.... Should I buy the 6d only bcos of the fullframe sensor or I should forget it and buy quality lens like the EF 24-70 f/2.8 ii lens or the newest tamron 24-70 f/2.8 G2 lens ???I need your professional advice quickly
I just bought one. My older camera was the 40D. I wasn't really interested in the video capacity as my passion is photography. Waiting for the 90D at new camera prices didn't make sense so after researching it, decided to go with the 80D/18-145mm kit. It's a huge jump in technology from my old trusty 40D. Easy camera to fall in love with. Great images and loaded with features. No regrets.
I got my 80D in late May 2016 and I love it. But one day I might need to upgrade it and then the 90D (just launched today August 28 20119) will be the logical choise. Great video. Keep them coming :)
The most underrated feature for video is the 3x zoom, which it achieves by cropping not from too small a sensor as has been the traditional method to avoid, but by cropping one that is "too large". That is, no quality loss! Servo AF is lots, but not regular "push-button" AF. This makes it GREAT or travel, either eliminating the need to carry a long telephoto, or really letting you get in close with a real optical one. Just stay away from the longer digital zoom to 6x, which does crop into the pixel frame and really should not have even been included. My 80D was a refurb direct from Canon that included both the 18-55 and 55-250 for under $700 total. I enjoy it alongside my 5DIV for weddings. Terrific.
Thanks for your review ... more confident in my purchase... looking forward watching your other videos related to Canon use ... an old Canon user ...retired .... now playing catch -up ...cheers !
Bought the 80D last year(mid 2018). Amazing camera. I tend to use mainly L Series lens and get brilliant photos. I totally agree that the glass used makes all the difference so put your money there. I also find that having the 45 focal points spread across the screen instead of bulked up in the center make it much easier to get a crisp shot. I upgraded from the T6s which is still a great camera when used with good glass, but the 80D is easier to use. High recommended it.
Bought the 80D last year from Best Buy. Got it with the 18-135 kit lens for $1150. Showed them a competitor priced at the time for $1149 and they matched it. Bought this for the video capabilities but love shooting stills with it. Over the year I've purchased the Canon 24, 50, 10-18 and a Yongnuo 100mm.
I bought the same exact setup and lenses except the 100mm....haven't tried that lens. The 18-135 nano USM while a variable aperture kit lens, is fast focusing and quiet in video. If you use fast glass it's not that bad in lower light.
I think the 80d still relevant because it is wonderful for video and photo. It has better video bit rates higher than the 6d mark ii with all-i capabilities. I have always inclined more towards lenses. I own the m5 and 60d which i believe still great for photos. I read on a forum someone saying they had the 60d but felt behind everyone bc all their new cameras. I shook my head no no. What makes the difference are the lenses.. 24l, 24105l, 50mm, 85mm, 135f2, 1018mm, 18 135 kit, 35l, thats what makes the difference. Huh i forgot lighting equipment and more importantly practice above all.
Thanks for the great review, I have been considering the 80D for a while. I feel like I could look for ever at cameras and still never be sure about what one if best! But I really like the sound of the 80D. I think I should go with my gut and go for it!
Iam a 16 year old cinematographer. My choice was to buy a 80d with 18-135 joby 3k kit and some battery's. The rest i spend on train tickets etc. Iam 16 i dont need 4k i dont need 120fs i dont need insane iso i dont a 1dx or a a7 something i only needed a 80d. Im now saving money for a 24-70 from my grandpa and my next camera within 2 year will be the 6dmk2 i think. The 80d is the best camera for me.
In 2 years I am willing to bet there will be an awesome mirrorless choice from Canon. If their first entry into the market is any indication of future improvements. Take that into consideration
I bought the 80D a couple years ago and was pointed in that direction by my camera guy at the camera store I have since adopted. He actually talked me out of the GH5 even though he had it there. He sold me what I needed and not what I wanted and for that I will be a life long customer....enough of that....I consider myself to know nothing about photography but I am learning and I have been really happy with the 80D. I was pleased you mentioned spending money on the lens because after I bought the kit 80D I went back to my camera guy and talked him into selling me the canon EF 100-400mm lens and I love it! I do a lot of outdoor camping, hiking, canoeing back country type of things and when weight isn't an issue I drag the 80D along and although I am still learning I have to say that 100-400 lens gets me pictures and video that makes it look like I know what I am doing....I don't really! I am pleased that everything you said about the 80D was almost exactly what my guy told me.
I actually just ordered the 80D with the 18-55 Lens kit so i am glad to see this video. I also ordered the 24mm 2.8...both coming Friday and i can't wait. The 80D kit was $950 and the 24mm was $130
I just bought one this past Black Friday, I’m not a professional photographer or videographer but I love make videos on this camera, it’s amazing the quality of the footage, I’m so happy I bought the right camera!
I purchased the 80D last year(mid 2018) after being a Pentax user for many years. The Canon is outstanding. I bought it with the kit lens EF 18 - 135mm and get brilliant photos. I also have the Canon EF 70 -300mm f/4 -5.6 IS USM zoom lens to go with it. I also like having the 45 focal points spread across the screen instead of squeezed into the center which produces really crisp photos. The best feature with the lens is the image stabilisation which I find brilliant for action photography especially when panning. The 80D is so easy to use and feels solid in the hands, without being too weighty. Highly recommended.
Thanks for your report. I love my 80D. It’s completely reliable and built like a tank, great features, great screen, fast and accurate focusing and great stabilisation using it with my 18-135 and 10-18 lenses, nice to hold, good and well placed buttons. It was my first DSLR (I came after a long gap from a background of Canon SLRs) so it was a long learning curve gradually getting to grips with all the functions and to learn to use it effectively. I use it for both photo and video. The lack of 4K is not an issue for me, in fact I’m quite glad not to have it (!) as I’m sure I’d be using it a lot of the time ‘just in case’ but probably not for any good reasons at all and with all the cumbersome space and speed problems. A year ago I added a 100-400L lens and this brought the quality up to a whole new level again - what a fantastic combination this is! I am now wondering if I can justify also getting a really top notch fast wide-aperture 50 or 70mm lens. Can you tell I like my 80 D...?!
I bought the 80D like four weeks ago to replace my my old 1100D (which was good for almost five years btw). Totally do not regret it. Perfect camera for my needs and even mire potential, if I buy some better lenses
I've got a Canon 600D, looking to upgrade for better burst rate, focus, and better low light capability. So far it's between the Canon 80D, 7DMkII and Sony A7II. Interested in wildlife photography.
I bought a Canon M50 for a compact carry around and vlogging camera and shares many of the lenses of the 80d with the adapter, but I'm keeping my Canon 80d for now.....it feels great in the hand and the control ergonomics for me is great.
I just went from a 7D mark 1 to this. I dig it. I have the Sigma 18-35, Tokina 11-16 & Tamron 70-200. I do both photo and video. 2weeks in & I'm loving it so far!
I have had a few of them. I buy, then sell. Buy then sell. I just keep coming back because they work. I just bought my fourth one. If you can get a good deal on one, I think it will do the job for most people. Kit lens and a nifty 50 and you are good. Add the sigma 18-35 and you are great. Need a little range? The 55-250 stm can be had for like 100 bucks.
I'm still using my 60D, 70D and SL2! My videos and pics still look fantastic! Canon cameras are strong and durable and I'm not in any hurry for 4K! I may purchase the 80D soon!
I had upgraded from 1100D to 80D. Its with me from last 2 years and shot couple of short films on 18-135mm USM lens. Have done many dance and music Videos. Its the best camera for Pics & Video. Best at auto Focusing. I Love my 80D. :)
Hi, very good point of view. But, Canon 80d has a weatherproof body? What does that mean? that is, can I use cameras even in rainy conditions? Thank you
If you want to get into sports/wildlife photography on a budget, buy one. I have some reservations over the 80D's colour handling and metering so to me its not as good as the 7dmkii but I agree about the AF, its very good and I think understated in this video for low light, which will perform in near dark conditions. Handles Sigma zooms well too.
Just got the 80d and I love it so far. Just trying to figure out what lenses if any I need besides the 18-135 kit lens which is great. Do you or does anyone know if you can control the shutter timing through the phone app? I want to take night time sky pictures and would like to know if I can use the app or if I should get a remote with a timer.
I have had the 80D for nearly 2 years now and am totally enjoying it,It is great for wildlife especially when paired up with the Tamron 150-600 mm lens .So I will say a great camera for the money
The 80D is the only cropped sensor Canon that has its audio capabilities left intact. The M5, M6 and M50 have their mic port tweaked so that discreet dual channel recording is disabled. There is also no VU meter during recording and no headphone port.
I am new in photography and video. I had a nikon 3200d but I wanted a camera to do both (photos and video). After a lot of hours in RUclips I decided to buy Canon 80d 2 weeks ago. I can't wait 2-3 or 5-6 months for new model. So I bought 80d and I am very happy. For me it's an excellent choice for my budget (around 1000 euro).
I just purchased the Canon 90D i have the 24 pancake, I would like your opinion between the Canon15-85 and Sigma 18-50 I am a retired wedding photographer and will be taking family and vacation and some elementary school sports team and single portraits, no action. So please let me know what you think.
Just purchased this camera with the 18-135 lenses on amazon within the last two weeks. Still learning all the features, but the pictures taken so far are very impressive. Thanks for the video and I am looking forward to taking your course on udemy.
The kit lens you have (EF-S 18-135mm IS USM) is actually very good even if it wasn't a kit lens. I've recently purchased the same kit. It's also my first DSLR experience and I'm loving it. So much to tweak and from what I've done as research it appears that there is second to none when it comes to the proper application of a touch screen. The Live View is just amazing. And I love the app to control your camera! Currently looking for a second hand EF 100mm f/2.8 IS USM true macro lens. The new ones are quite pricey but a well tended lens will last a long time so buying second hand is definitely a great way to go.
Got my 80D in early 2017. Love the quality of the images the camera produces. I take it out into the woods as often as I can. The images I get are super good even though I am still "learning" photography :-)
Awesome! I use this camera for more than aone year now and still lvoing it. Actually I thougj about upgrading to the 6d mkII but to be honest I dont think it is worth it. Put some good glass and you are gold!
Only a couple of concerns 1 no blue tooth and the fact that it’s over 3 years old. The sensor is older. Of course as soon as I buy the 90 d will launch. But looking for quality videos...
I have finally narrowed down my camera search to the canon 80D. I had a 20D years ago and loved that camera. I’m hoping that the 80D will be a great replacement. In the video you mentioned you only use specific media cards. I don’t see where you mention which ones you use or a link. Did I miss it?? Thanks for the video, great info.
literaly I love my ex 80D. canon 80D is just work man. I mean canon 80D feature is complete. like flipscreen, easy menu with touchscreen, great battery life, weather proof, mic in and heandphone jack. dual pixel autofocus and canon reddish color is for me is complete package you can get. rather than my a6300 and panasonic. this canon is for human. I miss it alot.
Just recently got more involved in photography and I started using the Canon 80D. The images that I’m catching (to me) are fantastic. I’m concentrating on motorcycle racing photography and I couldn’t be happier with the results. When I really looked into the 80D I was surprised that it seemed to be an entry level camera but at present I can’t fault it. As you said the lens choice will make all the difference. I’m currently looking into getting a larger zoom lens for track photos. But there starts the confusion there are many brands, many focal lengths and different price points. I figure it out, but as far as the 80D goes, I couldn’t be happier. By the way great video, well presented 👍📷.
For motorsport?? Try visiting photo stores in your area, there is this new Canon 70-200mm F4 III, there are a lot of people trading in their older Canon 70-200 F4 mark I and II. You should be able to snag one used between 300-600$
what do you think about the 90D? it's coming out soon and it does not have 24P which is very disappointing...I was going to buy one but without the 24P I think am going to look elsewhere. what's your opinion?
I've used my 80D for 2 years now, and I love it. I only wish it had GPS. When I post some of my travel photos it would be really great to be able to locate them on a map for the viewers. Geo Tagging is just too inconvenient for me. If its successor has GPS, that would probably be the only reason I would change.
I still love my 80D I got the M50 as well. They are both amazing camera's. I shoot mostly video for my youtube channel. One of the best thing I bought was the M - EFS mount which means I can use all my lenses on both cameras.
80D is and has been a great privilege to capture images with. As my first DSLR it gives me the confidence to be professional, so impressed with this awesome camera. Your review is honest and spot on, thanks
Great and fair commentary on a camera I’ve been using since it’s launch along with L lenses. Every time I think of upgrading to a full frame or mirror less I still end up back with the faithful 80D. There is so much packed into this camera that other cameras don’t have. I don’t shoot video and some times I wished they repackaged the 80D just for photography and no video either 1080 or 4K. I’m sticking with my 80D as it’s a great all rounder and even after 3 years of using it I’m still finding settings etc on it that I didn’t know about.🤓🇬🇧👍📸
I bought the 80D a couple of months back. Works great for me, a beginner paired with the sigma 18-35 f1.8. I have also used the 77D and feel they're very alike. I don't do videos, i currently sticking to just photography. And I am aware that the 80D body is weather sealed, but what good is it if I don't pair it with a weather sealed lens (L series lens) which is very expensive and something I wouldn't want to invest in at the moment. Do you think 80D is worth the extra 200 bucks ? what is your opinion ?
I also have been an 80D user since its release. It serves me well in the wildlife and scenery aspects as the 1.6 crop extends my reach with good canon glass. I use the 6D M2 for the street, wide, portrait, etc. I also like that the canon glass is interchangeable with the full/crop DSLR bodies (save the “S” lens). As I am invested in Canon glass I will not be jumping ship as an amateur. I also agree it is the photographer and their quality glass. You don’t need the latest and greatest body to capture the tack sharp if you understand and know how to use the exposure triangle and have a practiced eye for composure, IMHO. Good job and keep up the good work. (I am glad you are not beating the end of the DSLR drum that is so prevalent in other pundits videos. Yeah it will happen but not overnight as per their harp.)
"Pretty old pretty old", I`m using Canon 60D and it`s still can do great photos and videos, and it`s 9 years old :) But video is great, thak you. Just ordered 80D (with Sigma ART 18-35mm F1.8 DC HSM) and can`t wait to test out these two.
Great video!! I bought the 80D right before I was headed home from Việt Nam in 2016. It was the newest technology camera by Canon. I left my T5I with my son, but he was also buying a new 70D from a store there. I ordered mine online so it would be here when I got back home. I had a Tamron 16-300mm lens at the time, since then I bought a Tamron 18-400mm lens and they work very well together. I slapped a Haze 2a filter on it to get almost any purple fringe out of the photo. My other lens is the Tamron SP45 f1.8. really nice lens, both are nice lenses. I would love to get the 90D now that it is out, 4K would be nice, but I have a video editor that will save to 4k so I can kind "cheat" hehe I think I will stick with the 80D for now. It is STILL an awesome camera!! ONLY thing I don't like is that Canon decided to stop allowing you to see the shutter count in any apps I have.
Love my 80D and did invest in two Canon L lenses. The 70-200mm F4 is really disappointing and photo quality is worse than with the kit lens. Always blurry with any action. The 24-70mm Canon L lens is phenomenal.
Crop factor on Canon APS-C is x1.6, so 50 mm gives you 80 mm on it ;). I bought 80D 2 years ago, I'm using it mostly with Sigma 17-50mm f/2.8, and I'm very happy.
Everything here is pretty relevant across Canon's line-up, with the closest being the 7D Mark II. The 80D is probably a camera I should have bought but back in 2015 when I got my 7D Mark II, sadly it wasn't around. Definitely interested to see what Canon produce next now the EOS R has hit the shelves.
The 7d mark ii still has a fight with the 80d. Only lacking picture quality. The 7d mark ii has better speed (1090 jpg!(jpg...) lol double bracket) and 10fps.
I have the 80D with the 24mm 2.8, 50mm 1.8, 10-18mm stm, 18-135mm, and the 50-250mm all Canon lenses shoot mostly video. Waiting for the right time to upgrade so far I don’t see anything from Canon yet that ticks all the boxes.
so for my 80d i need to get the 24mm pancake lens 55-250 lens the 10-18 lens i already have the 50mm 1.8 and get the 24-105 and the 24-70? or just get lenses for 80d and not use full frame lenses on a aps-c crop sensor camera
I was talking to a Canon rep in my local camera store and I asked him about the 90D and he replied by saying that Canon has no plans to make a 90D and it is believed that the 80D will be the last one in that series as Canon are moving towards mirrored and not DSLR cameras
I bought my Canon 80D last year as a xmas gift to myself. And I love my 80D!! I don't need 4k
I researched a long time before purchasing my next DSLR. I ended up with the 80D and shoot amateur sports mostly. I love my 80D! The best comment I got was a new parent said "Our old team had a photographer, but her photos are nothing like your photos!". The only downside I can see is if you want 4K video, which wasn't a dealbreaker for me.
same here. my new imac also has no 4k monitor... so... for the next 8 years I will probably not bother :D
There are a few downsides. Low light performance, lack of IBIS, lack of 120fps on 1080, inability to shoot flat/log.
@@RyanPutranto lol Yeah, those points are true. Of course there's no camera that comes anywhere close to hitting the same price point with those features.
"There are a few downsides, it doesn't handle like a Lotus, doesn't accelerate like a Porsche, or have the interior of a Bentley."
True, and it cost the same as a Toyota Camry.
I thank you
shooting 4K isn't worth it unless you drop serious money. 4k isn't there yet
2021 and still using 3 of these.
Got my 80D at the end of 2016, been using it for my travel photography ever since. Great camera!
what lens do you usually use?
After 4 years later am still gonna buy this😊💕 80d (long live the beast)
2019 80D gang!
Paul Moores cue RUclips 😁
18-35 f4
24-70 f4
70-200 f4
That is my list for glass I would love to get before I step up my body.
EMMANUEL OWUSU-PREMPEH just buy a leica
@@Iloveak123 noted can I get a leica body for 1500USD?
EMMANUEL OWUSU-PREMPEH efs 17-55 f2.8 IS is a better choice for cropped sensor
I just bought one. My older camera was the 40D. I wasn't really interested in the video capacity as my passion is photography. Waiting for the 90D at new camera prices didn't make sense so after researching it, decided to go with the 80D/18-145mm kit. It's a huge jump in technology from my old trusty 40D. Easy camera to fall in love with. Great images and loaded with features. No regrets.
Jim Tipton this is what I am doing, upgrading from my 40, waiting on it to arrive in the mail
I own an 80d. Love it to bits
My wife has had hers since 2017 she loves it as we used it a lot. I have the 7D MK II but tell ya the true this is an outstanding camera
Terrific.
I just bought the 80D, as a refurb unit, I do not care about 4k Video, and I use the newer M50 for my video. I love the features for shooting stills.
@@rachelhalina5220 If I was you I would wait until Black Friday and Cyber Monday that is coming up.
Chaz C the 80d with kit lense is 799 right now. Trying to decide on the 77d or 80d for 149 more
Value for money !~ 80D + Sigma 18-35mm f/1,8 Art.... Yeah !
Zack Choy can I see how ur pics came out?
That's exactly what I use :D
The 50-100mm/1,8 would be the perfect addition
Quite a good choice for sure ! I also added the Tamron 70-200mm f/2.8 G2 to the set and I'm very happy with both :)
Is that for portrait?
That SIGMA IS AMAZINGGGGGG. I rented it once 😭😭 i really need more money to own it.
Thanks for the great review, I have been considering the 80D for a while. I feel like I could look for ever at cameras and still never be sure about what one if best! But I really like the sound of the 80D. I think I should go with my gut and go for it!
I’d say this is still the best camera in the price range
The is no deference between 80D and 6D ii ...
@@MrAvera There are several differences.
The 6D ii is Fullframe and the 80D is Asp-c I think this is the only deference 😊
@@MrAvera APSC lenses i.e Canon EF-S wont work on a full frame camera
I got my canon 80d since 2016 and still going.
Canon 80D it's such a great camera I just love the Canon colors thanks for the special review..
Dont forget just being weather sealed
Gives it a great advantage over other dslr,s
I like my Canon 80D. I have lots to learn but looking forward to it.
Perfect camera for my needs and even mire potential, if I buy some better lenses
love the added information of crop sensor vs full frame as i had no real idea about it
I've got a Canon 600D, looking to upgrade for better burst rate, focus, and better low light capability.
Its great for sports as well
Same with me.. Im canon m50 user now.. .if i upgrade my gear to 80D, what do you think ? It's good for a long time used ?
Well done bro. I still use my Canon 80D for everyone of my videos I upload to the web. I still love this camera.
Had the 60D moved up to the 80d wasn't sure at the start but that all changed. Shoot a lot of indoor hockey and the fast focus is sweet.
Have the camera, like it! Portable and fast shooting. Sharp, crisp images.
I bought it last year . Without even using all the capacities of the camera and it offers me very very good results even in 2019.
Thank you
Definitely happy I bought my 80D in early 2017
Love my 80D, Still shooting using this beast.
Yes, you can.
I have had the 80D for nearly 2 years now and am totally enjoying it,It is great for wildlife especially when paired up with the Tamron 150-600 mm lens .So I will say a great camera for the money
I have that camera and I have 24-70 sigma lens , it works great. I like it.
80d + sigma 18-35 f1.8 art... simply the perfect combo for me!
I bought the Sigma 50mm f1.4 art and I don't regret it nor will
I still use a 70d and love it! Just upgrade the lens.
i love my 80d,still using it.video is excellent.
2:28 "80D does really decent job in low light situations", he says while showing photos taken in daylight :P
🤣🤣🤣
Just pulled the trigger and bought one! Thanks. I'll check out your suggestions for add-ons..including the guide for Dummies!
I like it very much 80 d 18,35 lenz good zoom and good work
I have finally narrowed down my camera search to the canon 80D. I had a 20D years ago and loved that camera. I’m hoping that the 80D will be a great replacement. In the video you mentioned you only use specific media cards. I don’t see where you mention which ones you use or a link. Did I miss it?? Thanks for the video, great info.
Thanks for the review, I'm thinking of buying this one.
Very happy with mine still after having it for a year it's my first dslr and will be keeping it even after buying a ff 👌
literaly I love my ex 80D. canon 80D is just work man.
Still rocking the 60d. The double digit series is one of canons most successful lines. Manual focusing is fun when your use lovely L lens
You should be able to snag one used between 300-600$
This camera is on the best buy black Friday ad this year
what do you think about the 90D? it's coming out soon and it does not have 24P which is very disappointing...I was going to buy one but without the 24P I think am going to look elsewhere. what's your opinion?
I've used my 80D for 2 years now, and I love it. I only wish it had GPS. When I post some of my travel photos it would be really great to be able to locate them on a map for the viewers. Geo Tagging is just too inconvenient for me. If its successor has GPS, that would probably be the only reason I would change.
I still love my 80D I got the M50 as well. They are both amazing camera's. I shoot mostly video for my youtube channel. One of the best thing I bought was the M - EFS mount which means I can use all my lenses on both cameras.
Hi! Can u confirm about the quality (video) for low light situation for m50(Ipb) vs 80d (All-i). Thanks
I have the SL2 and possibly am getting 80D for Christmas. Do you think they will be a good combination to use during film scenes.
Yeah it will happen but not overnight as per their harp.)
canon 80 d my favorite
"Pretty old pretty old", I`m using Canon 60D and it`s still can do great photos and videos, and it`s 9 years old :)
But video is great, thak you.
80d is a very sensable lovely camara, and Very worth the price to invest i love my 80d 💗💗😇🌹
Nice overview ....thanks !
Love my 80D and did invest in two Canon L lenses. The 70-200mm F4 is really disappointing and photo quality is worse than with the kit lens. Always blurry with any action. The 24-70mm Canon L lens is phenomenal.
It's such a solid camera! Not sure whether I should get one or wait for the 90D. Any thoughts?
Should i buy canon EOS 200DII instead of 80D?
Crop factor on Canon APS-C is x1.6, so 50 mm gives you 80 mm on it ;). I bought 80D 2 years ago, I'm using it mostly with Sigma 17-50mm f/2.8, and I'm very happy.
so for the lens in the video 18mm to 135mm is actually 29mm to 216mm?
clearly detail about the camera, it inspired me to purchase Canon 80D . Your videos is fantastic , thank you for sharing it.
This is really great camera used it till now in 2022
Everything here is pretty relevant across Canon's line-up, with the closest being the 7D Mark II.
That would make sense.
There is a newer EOS 77D... but it's not really a leap forward... from what I'm seeing in the reviews for it.
The Canon 80D needs two lenses, for Photos: 50mm 1.8 STM - £90 & for Videos: Sigma 18-35 1.8 - £650
10-18mm for photos will be nice one too!
I thought of buying 50mm 1.8 lens?
