That looked like some great riding! Thanks for sharing! At what point did you lose the driver front hub cap? I lost one off of my 900S somewhere on Indian Ridge at Hatfield McCoy.
For those asking I have fitted 14 in wheels and 29 in tyres to a 2019 R spec X2 with no probs there is plenty of rm So far no probs re clutching lots more ground clearance and will do just short of 100kphl
My buddy in this video increased to 32" tires and followed me through the Rubicon trail. He did upgrade steering, front axles and front forward offset control arms. It did fine. And that's a difficult rock crawling trail.
Tbh I'm not a rock guy........but it's still insane to me where the sxs can go.......lucky man to have such a kick butt spotter!!!!! If you guys ever get to Minnesota that's where I'm at
Hey if you’re into rock gardens like that, personally for me, no way. I appreciated seeing the wolverines capability. I’m very happy with my 2024 x2 1000 xtr
Possibly so. But the real issue was getting bottomed out (ground clearance). Just needed a bit more height. The RMAX was more graceful and less rough thanks to the suspension and clearance. Thanks for watching!
@@TruckCamper hmmm. I understand that both machines have wet clutches I wonder why the Rmax revved so high maybe just a different unit. The wolverine didn’t seem to sorry mate just threw me off
Awesome fun time. Great teamwork tackling those obstacles! Glad your enjoying your the yamaha.
Absolutely! It's great fun pushing the limits and getting rigs through. Amazing to see what is possible even with a small rig

You bet! We broke it on that trail... rock made contact and busted the clips. Guess part of the deal when rock crawling. Still fun!
@@TruckCamper that’s a beast of a machine you have. Did you do any clutch work for those big tires?
@@williemaykit7940 Yes. It has every available modification for clutch. Everything beefed up for the tires: axles, steering, clutch.
@@TruckCamper very nice!

So bummed we missed you during your visit to Central Oregon!
Next time... we love the area! :)

Agreed. Crazy what these rigs are capable of! Fun to push them a bit. Yes, love my spotter! It would be fun to try trail out your way sometime!
@@TruckCamper we have alot of them!!!!!
Sorry we missed you during your visit to Central Oregon!
Yes! Would have been great to meet up...
Did you have to do anything special to the X2 to put 29” tires on it? I have a 2021 X2 Rspec and I believe they come with 27” tires as stock.
Check out the wolverine forum. Lots of arvice from x2 owners
Hey if you’re into rock gardens like that, personally for me, no way. I appreciated seeing the wolverines capability. I’m very happy with my 2024 x2 1000 xtr
It is fun to see what is possible! Polish up the driving skills as well...
The X2.... is it in 4wd diff lock? Are the sway bar links disconnected?
Yes. Most of the obstacles were with front diff lock. Sway bars disconnected
do the wolverine run great whit the 29 inch do it need a lift kit?
Don't believe he had any lift. The tires measured a bit smaller closer to 28" diameter. It is plenty capable for sure.
Did you put a lift kit on in order to fit the 34” tires?
No lift. Check out our previous video for all the modifications. Biggest change to fit the tires was the forward offset a-arms. Thanks for watching!
@@TruckCamper I did not see all of the modifications in the video that you sent me. Did you install the forward offset a-arms?

Low range?
Yes. These rigs need better low range gearing. Or modify the wet clutch to engage at lower rpm.
The X2 would do better with a more aggressive tire proflile even in this format.
Possibly so. But the real issue was getting bottomed out (ground clearance). Just needed a bit more height. The RMAX was more graceful and less rough thanks to the suspension and clearance. Thanks for watching!
What are you using for comms?
Sena Bluetooth headsets
Looks like the white wolverine needs to remove a sway bar!!
That would help for sure!!
are u guys in low range?
Yes. Low range... but the low gearing should be lower! Just need a shop to build gears for these.
The spotter need seminar
Maybe you haven't watched many of our videos...
Cheese and rice y’all seem to wholesome 100% but RIP the belt with that throttle usage. Any other sxs would have ruined the belt
RMAX uses a wet clutch. It is crazy how well it works. Never hear the belt slip. Yamaha gives the belt a lifetime warranty which seems nuts!
@@TruckCamper lol yep. It’s a 10 year warranty but still pretty crazy stuff! 👍🏼
that s a trail?
Yep! OhV trail network. Most difficult in Oregon
Rmax driver needs to have it in low he’s revving way too high for these trails
It is in low range. Keep in mind we are climbing rocks larger than the 34" tires... we did shim the sleave to help offset the tire size increase.
@@TruckCamper gotcha. Is it in crawl mode? Something seems of that cvt is revving way too high
@@smokeyiztactical Correct. Crawl mode. It does rev a lot to crawl slow. Guessing it's the wet clutch...
