I had a 2004 Yamaha Rhino. After 18 years with the ORIGINAL belt and no problems, a friend bought it. It's used EVERY day on his horse farm. Yamaha makes quality and dependable machines. 🏆🏆🏆
Our 2008 rhino has 10k miles and I don't think it's ever been more than 3 miles from the farm. Original belt too. Nothing but oil changes and new tires.
As much as I want to jump up to a sxs…. They do seem absolute stunning performers…. I’m going to keep my 07 grizzly 700se. It’s so much fun in the woods and is small enough you can actually bushwhack where these large machines can’t go. Fuel economy is really good on the little machines too. But like the video!
We love our 2021 compact limited. I have always disliked all the limo models. Dead on arrival as they won't fit in our camper/toyhauler. But I do like many of the enhancements such as diff lock fixed adventure pro and power steering adjustability. Yamaha is the best so if I were in the market to extend my compact, I'd be getting this one.
Nice review, only thing is the new Adventure Pro is not meant to be removable like the old unit. I drove the XTR and also left EPS in low and manually-adjustable shocks set to firm. You'd never know you were driving a long wheelbase vehicle. Yamaha knocked it out of the ballpark!
Even if you're doing fairly well financially, not that many people have a spare $28k sitting around. Still have no idea who buys these. I have seen many utility companies that love spending your money on side by sides so they don't have to walk 500ft from one building to another... Is that really sustaining this absurd market? Because there aren't enough trust fund kids on Earth to explain this.
I think based on all the high dollar rigs we see driving around (high trim pickup, fifth wheel/toy hauler, side by side), there are probably a lot of people carrying a large amount of debt.
It’s like a Halo car for any brand. Bring people in and they will buy cheaper products; this is aspirational. But there are plenty of people who would forgo a 2nd or 3rd car and have a toy like this.
It took me going overseas for work for 9 months for me to be able to buy my ‘23 Wolverine X4 XTR. With that being said, my family really enjoys it together. Plus, there’s no way I could spend 70-90k on a truck.
You guys need to do a tag team vid with Matt's Off Road Recovery. Take a bunch of different vehicles over to their playground and test them, get them stuck in interesting ways. Test their abilities in those rough spots, and maybe throw down a challenge to Matt's crew to recover vehicles, and maybe edumacate your viewers on ways to self extract without calling the experts..... That's a huge angle of off road fun. I've buried a wide range of rigs to their nuts in most all sorts of terrain, and had to get them out..... Apex: buried a 10 ton to the axles in a cow pasture feeding cows off it, buried a big commercial field type wheel tractor, two crawlers, and two side by sides during the extraction process...... 1/2 mile in 36 hrs.....
I have a 06 rhino 450 and a 08 rhino 700 that have never had anything other than oil changes, air filters, and a couple spark plugs and brake pads....the plugs and pads were just preventative. Neither one has had or needed a belt, zero engine or driveline issues. I also have a 98 kodiak 400 and a 08 kodiak 450 that still look and ride fantastic, zero issues......NOBODY builds a better 4 wheeler or side x side than yamaha.....period. I'm looking at selling these and buying a new/newer side x side (probably a RMAX 1000) but it will ABSOLUTELY be a Yamaha.
Think powerbands. While it would be cool to use something like that, it’s where the powerband kicks in would be a problem to drive something like this. Plus heat. These things generate a ton of heat.
Starting at $27,999.00. I'll take two! Heck I think that price is 4k shy of my last NEW Tacoma. For the price I'll stick to a Honda Pioneer for my use. Thanks for the review still!!
Price out a new Tacoma today and you'll see that's a bad comparison. Not that I'm arguing with you, I paid $7k for a brand new Kodiak 450 that is probably more fun, more maneuverable and just as reliable and will probably last me for the rest of my life.
This, EXACTLY. Every year I think about a SXS, but I keep coming back to how small and nimble my ATV is, and how good my visibility is, especially at low speed when I can take the time to stand up and really look around. I don’t need a *bigger* SXS.
Dust issue is due to the windshield. Windshields are a waste of money, somewhat of a gimmicky accessories that people spend a lot of money on, get a helmet and ditch the windshield on any of these sxs's. Unless it's wet conditions.
I’ve driven my ram mega cab through that trail. It’s called Where Eagles Dare. Awesome trail. But I didn’t drive that fast through it. I do not understand why SXS have to dive so fast through the trails. Alll they are doing is tearing everything up.
To all those who say it's too expensive, just get a jeep, or it's just a glorified cheap car... try upgrading a jeep or a car to go where these can go at the speeds these can go at the comfort these things provide, plus a dump bed.. and NO, I can't afford one either! 😅
looks like a great ride- but i dont see anything special- and in the end its about riability- after some years u can say more....benchmark not really...
Alex, I enjoy your videos. I do NOT enjoy you being relegated to these SXS videos, though. Roman, please transition Alex to a more universally appealing content video as these aspirational utes are just… a bit too niche. If you have an extra $30k sitting around, then you’re probably not sitting, watching a 20 minute RUclips video.

I still own three of the eight Yamaha vehicles I have purchased. 😊
Good luck getting parts for your RMAX everytime I need warranty work done on mine parts are never available.

Yamahas are really great machines. Compared to most UTV's the maintenance costs are far less due to their belts lasting forever.

Happy Gobbler Day to all of TFL! Hope you have a fun and safe one. Get stuffed and come back for more.

I have the 2 door Maverick X3 XRC because it fits in my toy hauler.

Fun review. Enhanced with some great landscape shots. Good job, Alex.

Everything made possible for $400/month.

@@simsational... I think the replies re: financing and debt are fair.

I cannot wait for my LE rmax4 long. This video is getting me excited. Hoping they build it faster now.
Fantastic review. Great job. 👍
That'd wild. Same wheelbase as my JL.

Yamaha has an 1800 from the waverunnwr, why doesn't it use that?

@@bertpulaski2492 could always design a different gear box transmission set up.

🤡🤑🤑🤪
Why not ?
Have the 2024 rmax 2 seater for 15 grand in AZ, brand new,, hmm, 26 grand machine,, gotta look for the sales,,
118" WB? Isn't that the same 4Door Jeep Wrangler? Everything just keeps getting bigger.
This, EXACTLY.

Roughly the same wheelbase as a 4 door wrangler

SxS's are annoying. Hate them, ruin camping with their stupid buzzy engines.
SxS's are dumb! VERY disappointed to see you guys promoting these things! 👎
They are so annoying!
@1FiftyOverland 💯 Plus they tear up the trails and are super dangerous!
LOL! Get out of here man.
