Congratulations on Kyle Anderson winning the Pro Stock NA class for 2023 King of Hammers and finishing 34th overall. That's right, the Yamaha 'golf cart' beat out many highly- modified sport SxS, including 2 KRXs and a Honda Talon in his class. No Generals or Commanders anywhere in sight of KOH.
Be assured, the KRX is LOUD going 40mph+ but not bad on the trails. I have the same eS model and beyond the noise, I love it. Tried to fight the urge but lost and put 35's on it and Dalton clutch kit. This machine is a beast. I know Yamaha makes an outstanding product but these two machines are very different, unless slowly putting around as shown in the video here.
They're not in the same league. The KRX is a pure sport machine with excellent rock crawling capability. The Yamaha is a very nice machine but is a sport/utility hybrid, which creates compromises. The lack of trailing arms in the Yamaha will hamper its ability to provide a plush ride.
I see nothing wrong with this “comparison” as %99 of people who buy the Rmax will buy it mainly for trail riding with their buddies who also own sport SXS so I get it.
Saying they are not loud is absolute rubbish for a review. We know you just want to be invited to the testing facility and all the manufacturer events so ya give a un-honest review.... I have a KRX and RMAX.. 2 Krx's actually... The RMAX engine noise is why I went and bought KRX's after that.. That RMAX motor screaming in my ears gave me a immediate headache. The KRX is loud but its not as bad. I have 2 7.7 JL audio tower speakers on a JL amp so all i hear is music of my choice
What's significant is that you're even comparing a pure sport SxS, the Teryx to the recreational\sport SxS, the RMAX. Even comparing the two says a lot in the RMAX's capability as a viable alternative. You don't see KRX vs General comparisons by anyone You don't see KRX vs Commander comparisons by anyone You don't see KRX vs Pioneer comparisons by anyone.
I wouldn’t call this a shootout though. All they went over was the cabs and a little bit of info on the shocks. It was a spec comparison. They didn’t get into detail over how each machine handled different scenarios. The utv on demand shootouts are much more thorough. This seems more of a hey this is one Japanese mfgs best rig against another Japanese mfg. you are just a rmax nut hugger and think it’s the greatest thing since sliced bread. You eat sleep and shit Yamaha and don’t ever give other mfgs a fair shake. Your takes are as biased as it gets. You are like a ford guy commenting on a Chevy page.
@@curtissmith8789 it’s literally just a video showing the differences. It’s not a comparison lol. They have a better version of the rmax and general xp. Y’all are drinking the koolaid
That's true it's more of the difference between the two. There's some out that do a head to head. The R-max does a good job. I've seen many with the General. I do like the General, but I'm going with the R-max all day on that one. I think the overall set up on the R-max is better. As far as interior, no contest. As far as reliability I'm taking the R-max. I've had and still do have products from both companies. I have to say both have been good, but the Yamaha was better built and held up better.
I would buy a KRX, but it's not trail legal in a handful of states (64 inch width limit). Its odd because Can-Am and Polaris make 64 inch editions of all models (other than the Pro R).
The rmax is a peppy work/hunt mobile, but, I find nothing sporting about it. I've had it since 2021, and while I'd never trade it for a general (Have that turd, too) it certainly doesn't meet the criteria of anything with "Sport" assigned to it's title. Quicker than other multi-purpose machines, but, try to push it like a sport machine and you will find it's harsh limitations real quick. Only biased fanboys will try to convince you otherwise. Tops it genre, but none of those machines in that category really earn the hype.
I don’t see a point to this video. The ride was pointless and wasted time. You could point out physical differences in the parking lot lol. Any sxs would have cleared this trail and most if not all in 2wd. Take them somewhere worth watching and challenge them if you’re gonna drive them and talk about them.
If you guys continue to review these as having loud exhaust, the darn restrictions are only going to go bigger. If its TOO LOUD than you're NOT an offload anything person! Just Get in it , and ride ,,, Jmo
WTF is with the loud obnoxious music stay with the sounds of the SxS's...Also these machines are NOT CARS they are Side By Sides!!!...why in hell do some people refer to these SxS's as cars it not only sounds stupid it is stupid to refer to something that it's NOT.

Does the rmax cab get hot when your riding for awhile. I have a Honda Pioneer 1000 . It gets really hot where your legs are.

Have a rmax4 xtr 1000 great machine. Not as much power as the turbos but couldn't beat the warranty.

Intro is wayyyy to long...

That’s true! That’s just how good it is.
That alone speaks volumes about it's capabilities. When you start comparing a sport utility with a sport s×s that's one bad azz sport ute.

what about the fuel mpg and power ?

Beautiful country there
I’ve had many sxs’s over the years. My KRX is by far the loudest most obnoxious machine I’ve ever heard. Motor, cvt and exhaust.

This is pretty much my backyard, the Paiutes outside Mojave!
Yamaha !
Yamaha is my go to brand. But come on looks like a smart car off road addition. 😂
Badass machines
I have a rmax 1000 4 seater and it is a great machine but 1 1/2 hrs to do a clutch service. Looking at the KRX now
Lost me at KRX is quiet lol.
Good video , but do you have to have that annoying music so damn LOUD ?
This is an apples to oranges comparison. A sport machine versus a sport utility. Not of much use to the prospective buyer.

Kawasaki is so loud what are you talking about?
Quite what is he hard of hearing

Krx is like the yxz not rmax
