- I attended the First Aeroflot A350-900 delivery ceremony at the Airbus HQ in Toulouse, France yesterday. Aeroflot Russian Airlines is the launch operator of the A350 type in Eastern Europe and the CIS.
Aeroflot’s A350-900 features a distinctive new livery, embracing its almost 100 year heritage.
Flight attendants dressed up in retro Aeroflot uniforms, dating back to the 1960s, during a unique ceremony which included ballet dancing. The plane is named after the famous Russian composer Pyotr Tchaikovsky.
I went onboard to check out the new interior, featuring an all new Business Class Suite. The Aeroflot A350 has 28 Business Class Suites, 24 Comfort (Premium Economy) and 264 Economy Class, making for a total of 316 seats.
A brand new A350 delivery should come with the best product. In my view, this is definitely a huge step up from the current Business Class offerings at Aeroflot.
Aeroflot will operate their A350-900 from Moscow to a number of destinations including: London, New York, Miami, Osaka and Beijing. Aeroflot has a total of 14 A350-900 aircraft on order. The Russian airline plan to take delivery of 11 A350s in 2020.

@@imatthd3663 That's the difference between a Non-PC Culture (Where Sam comes from) and the Overly PC culture where you come from (US/Europe mostly). It's not a big deal and i'm sure the flight attendant was not concerned. She is the only person who can complain and i'm sure she didn't even give it a second thought.

Maybe not? Their price is quite fair from Asia to Europe. About 500USD from Beijing to Prague in economy is way much cheaper than Air China or Lufthansa.
Russia hasn't been infected with the politically correct bullshit yet, so they can have pleasant flight attendants. We have ogres and whales for US airlines because we don't want to make people "feel bad" about themselves.

I think Aeroflot have the most stunning uniform of any airline. Looks even better if worn by such a good looking crew.
I flew this plane with Turkish Airlines when they bought the remainder of the Aeroflot planes from airbus. What an experience. It was way better than the actual Turkish Airlines business setup.
Aeroflot seems to have come a long way from being some ragtag airline with a scetchy history to an airline that provides amazing service starting from economily class and going up. And the flight attendant uniform, they nailed it. Keeping it classy. Good job Sam and Aeroflot
I have flown with Aeroflot many times across the ocean, local and even the turbo prop planes. Although I can only afford economy, the attendants are top notch and the woman are beautiful.

I've flown Aeroflot a few times - never had any problems. FAs are pleasant and I quite like that they are not grinning constantly when handing out hot towels...or worse still collecting them.
I love the Business Class of Aeroflot, and I think that's the most beautiful and eye catching Business Class in the World.
It's a shame that an airline w/ such fine fleet of aircrafts became casualty of war due to Russia sanctions... Very very sad...
Aeroflot is an arm of the Russian state. It’s filled with FSB, SVR, GRU spies. They even give the spies the power to go on the planes to poison dissidents. Navalny poisoning was no surprise. No country is perfect. There are lot of evils of the US but the Russians take the intolerance of dissent a step further
Don’t worry, In Russia have a own built of planes, IL-96-400M is new wide-fuselage planes, soo we have a own planes like A350

I'm fairly certain I flew on one of their newer Airbus planes, London to Seoul with a stop off in Moscow. It really was a great flight from Moscow to Korea, really comfy plane.
It was SU250 flight, right? As I know only boeing 777 and airbus a330 are used on that flight, both of which I've flown with. If you're taking about the a330, I'd say it's pretty much horrible. I'd like to fly on the a350 tho

I love that too! I couldn't read Cyrillic but my educated guess was right after the ballet.
Every aircraft in Aeroflot's fleet is individually named after a well-known Russian personality.
For the record, I caught a brief glimpse of one named after Marshal Zhukov while having a layover at Helsinki Vantaa, on the way to Saint Petersburg & Moscow for FIFA 2018. 😃
great composer, I’d say russian composers are one of the best including rachmaninoff, stravinsky, shostakovich. Not a big fan of Russia since the soviet occupation (you can read it yourself, it was a bad time) but it’s culture is really wonderful.

Aeroflot girls are totally GORGEOUS. I flew Aeroflot 1991 from London to Moscow and then Moscow to Kathmandu wasn't impressed back then the planes smelt of damp and your meal was a sandwich or red cabbage or something like that. On our flight to Kathmandu we took 20 McDonald's apple pies with us.

As a regular Aeroflot flier, I am really excited about this new plane! I mean, their Boeing 777-300ERs are nice enough, but the business class is a bit dated, so I'm really looking forward to the new business class configuration on the A350. Best of all, they will be operated on the flights I frequent: Moscow-New York and, starting in summer, Moscow-Miami.

in business class if you want to store luggage like a carry on where do i put it. As in the middle isle the overhead bins seem to be not there unless the seats in the middle have a compartment for them. I have seen this on many airlines.

Aeroflot is denied access to European airspace today!!! Also Airbus and Boeing parts are forbidden to be exported to Aeroflot, so repairs on their aircraft are very much restricted
There’s a clause that allows for replacement parts and maintenance for the aircraft they already have. North Korea has a similar restriction for their passenger planes.

This is the trend in Business Class (even BA A350 has doors), also for airline don't have First Class, the new Business Class is pushing the boundary.

I have been waiting for this video for so long, Aeroflot made an unbeliavable transformation.
I'm Swedish and since I can remember Aeroflot was equal to danger and bad service, the bad side of URSS but now it's amazing and you get a model for free to chat with hahaha
No roman. The free model to chat with is not true. The first five minutes of chatting are free. Then after that it is 3 dollars per minute! Nothing in life is free, your parents should have taught you that!
