  • Hello and welcome back to this new video! This time we are looking at the landing of the swiss airbus 330-300 at Newark Liberty international Airport.
Approach from the north towards Teterboro Airport, we are about to intercept the localizer for runway 22L.
I originally wanted to film this video with the gopro, but an SD card error made me film it with another camera. For the next projects the GoPro will be working again.
The charts and Images shown from the LIDO System are provided by Lufthansa Systems, a big thank you for their help and support!

Did the captain leave his sunglasses on or why did he need the PFD and ECAM at max brightness? Haha. That'd drive me nuts. Great video though!

Beautiful views. If this was an American crew, I would have sworn the pilot landing was ex-Navy used to carrier landings! 😉😂

That was an outstanding landing on a short runway. Probably strict MROT as well

Great view of Midtown as you said.
    A few questions:
    1) I noticed some graininess at the beginning, (and I also noticed you said you had to use an alternative camera), is that a combination of it being filmed at night and zooming in on the view? Seemed to be more grainy when you zoomed in.
    2) "Hundred above" right before landing. Were you guys a little above the glide slope? I have not heard that robot voice call before in other videos.
    3) Quite the thump when the gear lever was pulled down! Any particular reason for that? Was that the lever itself?
    4) Did you have about a 24 hour layover? I'm a bit surprised you landed that late, I'm assuming a new crew is there to fly the plane back to Switzerland an hour or two later and that seems like a bit of a late take off (though from the East Coast that would mean they probably land at about noon in Switzerland). Most flights to Europe from LAX seem to take off between about 2pm and 8pm here.

Viel danke! Your videos are always interesting. Newark is the international airport I use most because I live on the west side of the Hudson River. Much more convenient than JFK. Newark does have one additional runway, a short crosswind runway 29/11. I hope you don't mind -- I once landed on runway 29 in a 747, VERY unusual, so I took a (poor quality) video of it: ruclips.net/video/dZY-A0hExkc/видео.html
