You guys could rlly expose Nike by getting a pair of actual OG Jordan’s from the 80s/90s, they used much better leather and materials in general back then most notably the Jordan 1
One quick correction. The Pistons didn't walk off the court before the game ended. They didn't do the after game handshake thing after losing the series. They came across as being sore losers, which they probably were.
That’s cause they changed up the rules to benefit mj cause they was always beating the bulls ass mj included so yeah I get the frustration too they also did the same thing wit the 04 pistons as well when they beat a stacked lakers team in 5 games lol the pistons have the best defense ever

materials varied by colorway in the OGs. Specifically for Chicago Bulls colorways: The white infrareds were all leather, the black infrareds were "durabuck" (synthetic suede ) the carmines (the red and white colorway) had durabuck on the red parts for added breathability and lighter uppers and leather on the white parts. Never held a pair of actual OGs but when it comes to recent retros of these specific 1992 colorways (that are supposed to be true to the originals, specifically the 2021 Jordan 6 carmines): The collar leather panels are made of significantly stiffer and thicker leather (in comparison to the Reverse Oreos you just cut in half) (which makes the shoes way more supportive) and they come with PU insoles. Also, Dreamcell is a brand-name recycled PU insole. FYI the top panels over the medial and front side of the shoe actually spell the number 23, its easier to see on the carmines which were the colorway in the original sketches made by Tinker Hatfield during the development of the model.
not a expert like weston, but when i compared the recent carmines and GR 6s i own, the carmines leather did look better. but like i said, im not an expert.
I love seeing Twisters brought up during every recent ad, I say keep doing it, since they didn't give you credit, TAKE IT! Make sure everyone knows that's your design.
Keep up the good work Collin! I know there's only so much info you can put in a video to keep up engagement, it was nice hearing someone talk about my Lakers giving Jordan his first championship in these shoes lol. I hope to see more of these sneaker videos in the future!
I think they're board lasted for torsional support. I know Nightwing at Weartesters has made that comment since not all Jordan retros have that original feature. I remember him mentioning it in a Jordan 5 review a few years ago. I think he was reviewing the fire red Jordan 5. He was surprised and seemed excited that they were using it again.
That's correct! Many basketball shoes back around the 80's - 90's has been board lasted for these exact reasons, many of the Jordans were board lasted before the common use of plastic or carbon fiber shanks. The added benefit of the board also allows the shoes to mold to your foot gradually.
(before the video started) For me, it was the BEST Basketball Shoe ever made. I played at that time, and that was the perfect basketball sneaker Have had a lot since the original Jordan VI (no moderns ones) but i allways remember and LOVE the 6 The look as well...puré hoopers
10:11 Boardlasting for some of the Jordans at the time (85 Cut 1s, and 7s to my knowledge, please correct me if there's other models) before the 11s carbon fiber shankplate were sorta used as torsion support at the time. That's why they're stiff, especially for much of MJ's aggressive multilateral movements.
Same look different materials. Nike isnt going to give him trash like they try to sold to us.Those jordan were probably made in a different way and with better materials. It is also possible jordan was given new free shoes in every game
They were solid and I bought the original retro remakes with the jumpman logo on the back for around $70 back in 2001 only to have to sell it on eBay in 2012 due to my foot growing 2 sizes plus.
I had a pair of OG 6's in the 90's, yes, I'm old. The 6 was great but I hated that rubber tongue, it would rub against your shin & pull your leg hairs. My favorite is the 5. Especially the design for the ankle. I gave you support in the front but the low profile in the back allowed you to extend your foot without getting in the way.
Jordan from 1 to 6 are "cupsole" designed, all your walking comfort will come from a good insole. Player all used an insole. Get a good $50 insole with arch support and you will understand how comfortable these Js are.
These were my favorite Jordans. I had the first re-release in the early 2000s. I also bought the Paris 6s. I still like them, but the problem is the sole is really hard & does not flex. Also the rear pull tab actually does bother the back of my ankle. These are definitely a fashion statement and not something to wear comfortably all day.
Hey man, could you cut HANWAG GRÜNTEN Boots? They seem pretty decent quallity with the oldschool construction, it would be nice to see some quallity craftsmanship after a while. Thanks!
Man I am always going back and forth with the 4 being my absolute favorite shoe black cement especially but the Infrared 6 is so beautiful thr broken up translucent outsole, cool as hits of infrared and 3m, then that black durabuck upper. Man it's damn near impossible not to put it at my number 1 slot. Also the original 4 was cut much higher where on thr ankle collar so you wouldn't get it stabbing you so badly. Jordan brand is just stupid and won't fix them. Also retros have always been pretty damn comfy to me. I have never had a issue wirh comfort.

I'll try it again, but in a condensed form. I bought the original 6s (black with infrared) when I was going into grade 11. I played a lot of indoor and outdoor basketball and had previously owned an original pair of 3s (which to this day is my favorite shoe of all time, with the 6s being second-best). I would have been content if these lasted one full calendar year but I can happily say they lasted 4 years! One full year and the next 3 years as my outdoor pair. I bought a pair of the retro 6s and can honestly say they are a huge disappointment. I can't help to think the original 6s were made with superior materials and manner. Would be interesting to see you cut open/analyze a pair of original 6s... and original 3s for that matter. I'll leave out my last comment about profit margin and dividend motivation ;)
I had a couple of pairs of these back when they were first released. They were my joint favourite of the Jordans along with the 4s and 5s. I think the design went to shit from 7 onwards.
