Very special guest today, thanks Eddie for being a good sport and sending your crocs up for repair! Let me know who else we should have on the channel!
Great guest choice! The Beast! And excellent work, Dan. Gotta get Brian Shaw on the channel, too! Would love to see you work on a pair of/describe the difference of a true pair of Olympic Weightlifting shoes!
The reason most people don't repair shoes like this is that it usually costs the same or more than a new pair. The unfortunate thing is that shoes that are easier and worth repairing are pricey. It was really cool to see the process of how it works.
@@jesseward6938 I was more coming from a place where the whole footwear is one whole rubber item. I didn't think it was possible to do it like he does on a normal leather shoe where you can see there are different parts.
As a croc aficionado (I have CRPS which is an autoimmune disease and I have trouble putting regular shoes on now and feel pain from regular shoes) I’m loving this.I have croc boots, furry winter crocs and summer crocs and I didn’t know toy could resole them!!
That replacement sole costs more than the shoe. Add Dan's wage on top and you can probably buy every Crock in your collection. But a super fun project to watch.
I have been replacing my crocs every year ,for the last 10yrs as I wear them every day working from home and they turn into slicks in that year(dangerous in winter) but, now I have options to have new soles 👏👏👏 Great video Dan 🎉
I saw this in my recommended, and I was shocked to see two of my hobbies/interests overlapping in this way. Never thought I'd see Eddie Hall in a Dan the cobbler video 😂
Those were some dirty Crocs, and I was quite surprised how well they turned out. Crocs needs to design a pair just for Eddie based off of your repair. This was fantastic.
Crocs makes multiple pairs of Crocs with actual rubber 'sneaker' type tread on the bottom. I have a pair worn daily around the house. I got these specifically because of the sole on bottom has real tread & traction, unlike the regular version that's very slippery on water especially when worn smoother like these ones. Also has nice Velcro adjustable '4x4' heel straps(would've been better for this customer?) so you can get the heel fit correctly. Nice to see these brought back & upgraded, I really like that sole tread, looks very grippy. 👌🏻👍🏻
@tdotw77 It's wild how many types of crocs there are. But the more shoe/moccasin style crocs that you are talking about are so much nicer than the soft rubber foam types and more comfortable imo.
Great job Dan as always. As much as I enjoy the cobbler side of the business, I always enjoy the personal touch when you offer a segment that includes your car! Keep up the great work!
Hey Dan came across your shorts on Facebook and absolutely love your work. I'd love to see you do a video on the different types of shoe construction blake stitch Goodyear welted why some welted soles only stitch through the midsole and others go all the way through the outsole I just find all that information really interesting
This is one of the reasons I watch. There is no attempt to be fake. He does his thing and is himself doing it. It is very refreshing to have a normal bloke be genuine.
I can fully understand the retreading of sentimentally attached Crocs. I have gone "a over t" many times on my slick Crocs. I never thought it was possible to restore until now.
Watching Eddie absolutely slay in that 2 vs 1 MMA fight was one of the funniest things ever. The same man is power bombed and then obliterated with a KO punch all within about 2 seconds...
How did you not do a video on the trainers?!? Even a short one would have been awesome man!! Maybe next time then, awesome video and very cool machinery. That multiple buffing wheel thing was amazing!!
You should've done a proper leather strap with rivets! Cmon man! It was open for the taking!! custom crocs lmao. Always loved Eddie Hall. Thanks for the video you two. The Brons really needed a sole swap, but the vibrams will do!
How do Dan. Long time no speak. Hope you had a good Christmas and New Year mate, all the best! Gonna start my own channel this year hopefully working on motorbikes, pushbikes, power tools etc, repairs, buying and selling etc Any advice on the equipment and editing part as i haven’t got a clue
I came to this video with a skeptical attitude, wondering what one could actually do to fix up a nappy old pair of crocs. I left delighted and informed. Thank you!
Great video as always, I have some Timberland boots in the traditional colour, they are still in great condition but faded😢, I’d be grateful if you could suggest what to use to get them back to their former glory. Many thanks Kelly
Wow. I started a new job last week and a guy who is training me looks just like Eddie Hall. I told him that! And bang. I am watching a cobbler repair the Beasts crocs, lol. PS. not just any cobbler. But Dan the man.
i could not imagine how are you gonna blend the sole, on shoe that does not have one even when its new :DD they must be really good now, the worn sole on original crocs can hurt when walking on gravel... this beasts are ready even for offroad
I wear a US size 15 in Crocs and have to replace them every couple of years. One thing I've noticed is that the sizing is inconsistent because they're made in in multiple countries now. Fortunately heating or cooling them lets you adjust the size a little bit and it makes for a nice snug fit. Probably my favorite thing about Crocs is that the insole shapes to your foot over time and makes them real comfortable.
I've noticed that size discrepancy in a lot of clothing these days. I'm a UK size 10.5 in footwear. If I buy Nike and they were made in China, I have to buy a UK 12! If they were made in Bangladesh the same shoe, in the same shop, can be completely different in size. I'm not sure if you have the foot measuring things in the USA (I assume you have. It's one of the things you stand on and move a slide up and down to find the correct foot size) but I've stood on one of those wearing a Bangladesh made pair of Adidas and it said one foot was a UK size 9 while the other was a UK size 13... Both were marked as a UK 10 😂
@madMARTYNmarsh1981 A Brannock Device? Yeah we have those. One thing I know for sure is that Nike shoes tend to have a more narrow toe box. I've been mostly wearing New Balance these days. Though when I get groceries or just out to pick up food I wear my Crocs because they're so comfortable.
I dunno how I ended up here, but I can’t get my mind off Eddie sitting there in his crocs and duck speedos watching this video 🤣🤣🤣 I enjoyed this video 🤌🤌

David Dickinson 😃
Too much. Follow both channels. Great matchup.
@Dan_the_cobbler maybe have editor blur out Eddie's address where he opens the box at 18 m 24 s
One of these days I need to send you my cowboy boots to fix them.
The collaboration I never thought I'd see, and I'm here for every second of it.
Dan and Eddie collab I never expected it
Yet here we are! 💪🏻
Don't be silly. Eddie's like dog poop he gets everywhere, lol
I like that you are repairing and upgrading something that is meant to be disposable.
For someone who could easily afford new ones, just brilliant!
Restoring & resoling Crocs? I have officially seen everything...
Ever seen a man eat his own head?
am I the only one who thought that you can't repair footwear like this.
this is incredible

10:04 Yooo the O'l mate her-dur 6 hundos music thru me for a loop there for a sec
I was confused why the song didnt skip to a crappy sounding version after 5 seconds

Brilliant collaboration - hats off to you both!
Love seeing a man exercising his craft. You're the best. Enjoy every episode
Always hydrate your crocs..

Another kickass video Dan! Super cool collab. And those eyes on the crocodiles shoes were cool as hell!!
Absolutely brilliant vid Dan, and work. Eddy always comes across as real human, a proper decent bloke
would have never expected you could resole crocs! great work!
Two of my favourites in one video! Love this video!!
I like seeing different types of footwear. All terrain Crocs were delightful.
Hi dan super vidéo et restauration comme toujours continue comme ça t est le meilleur 🇨🇵🇬🇧❤
Great job Dan as always. As much as I enjoy the cobbler side of the business, I always enjoy the personal touch when you offer a segment that includes your car! Keep up the great work!
As a maker and hand bag restorer, I am fascinated with your techniques and the products/glues you use!!
Wow, fantastic job! Loved seeing the colab, awesome stuff gents, thank you!
You quite literally can do anything with shoes! That’s amazing! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
You are never a former WSM. You are just a winner in that year. Once you win, you are forever referred to as WSM or 'a' WSM or ×××× year's WSM.
Always excited for a new Dan the Cobbler video!! You never disappoint 👏🏻👏🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻💪🏻💪🏻😊😊
Thanks a million Kristen!
I could totally see a Guy Ritchie film taking place in Dan’s shop. Gotta admit that would be AWESOME!!
Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought to see anyone I would recognize on here. Amazing!
Public Service Announcement: the badges and such that go into the holes in crocs have the official name of "Gibbits"
Awesome. Eddie needs to highlight this on his channel.
shoutout to Eddie for not just throwing out shoes. Brons and the crocs have new life! kudos!
I don’t think Crocs ever looked so good. Cheers! 👍🍻😊
Great video Dan !! Love how passionate you are in your job. Keep up the good work.

Put the beast pin on the strap and now 4x4 mode is beast mode ❤
Lol no idea why I got recommended this. Absolutely awesome craftsmanship.
This is pretty cool. I watch a lot of Eddie's videos and to see him on Dan's channel is really cool.
I love Eddie Hall! And I am extremely impressed.
Thanks appreciate it!
Loved the vid. Colab was a welcome, fresh take.
Toe jam.. Nice way of putting it. The preservatives in my shoes are something else. 😅
Great job Dan crocs back to better than new also a great refresh to the trainers ❤
Eddie meets Dan, never thought I'd see this crossover. :D

Who would have ever thought, Eddie featuring on Dan's channel ❤ amazing work buddy

So cool I really like those. Would be cool to do like a leather croc of sorts, prbly already been done tho
but the inside "sole" that feels nice when new is still worn down :o

Dan, see if you can do the same for Tom Aspinall. This would create the holy trinity of collaborations!
