@@murep A high-end bespoke shoemaker in Tokyo Japan like him, doesn't worry about money, I mean he sells one pair of shoes for 2000 USD and up, I'm pretty sure that he makes more than most people and is living a very comfortable live in Japan. He makes easily more money than me, an engineer in Germany... I mean think about it, if he sells 10 shoes a month, which is not much, that's 20k USD a month, that's a quarter million USD a year... And he deserves every cent of it!

I can almost smell the leather, the varnish, the worn apron, almost. I love the sound of the old sewing machine as you slow down to make a curve, the flat head hammer, and the punch as it goes through the well treated hide. I am mesmerized by the stitches you pull through the soles, I want to be there and take in all the tiny details not in the videos. I wish I spoke Japanese and then I could ask a thousand questions. По этой технологии при СССР изготавливалась вся обувь и только из натуральных материалов! За этим следил отдел качества , чтобы всё было по ГОСТУ и технологии ,от ателье индивидуального пошива до фабрик ! С ассортиментом моделей конечно было туго , но эта модель из видео самая классическая из трёх, проста в пошиве и укладываемости в раскрое ! На них учатся ученики заготовщика , как азы профессии! Индивидуальный пошив всегда ценился, но на видео это не высший пилотаж.

Spent last period searching to know more about shoes and shoemaking. Those videos are by large margin the best thing I found so far in the internet about this art. The craftsmanship is of a hight level this is clear, but I'm specially amazed by the filming and I congratulate you on the hard, very very hard and professional pedagogical work put on the way you make the complicated too easy to understand with those closeups, this lighting and the angles etc you choose to illustrate it all.

I watched your video and was in awe of you. What you do is unique, and a lost art. There used to be shoe cobblers and shops that repaired shoes, belts and purses in every neighborhood yrs ago. Now, people throw stuff out instead of repairing it. Spectacular video, your work is magnificent. Bravo.

I like it when people come up with love as the key to acheive high goals. I would much rather rely on loads of discipline and a great deal of ability. Love is much too much volatile. One day it's here, the next day it's gone.

Я бы такие точно носил бы. Вот только удобно ли в них ходить? На вид они такие жесткие. Но если такие купить, то точно только для того, чтоб носить, однозначно. Не носить, это тоже самое, что купить последний айфон и положить на полку. Жизнь одни и нужно старить пользоваться всем самым наилучшим и получать удовольствие, конечно по своим возможностям.
I watched every second of this process, I saw it all with my own eyes and I still can’t believe it. Now I understand why some people cry when watching an opera virtuoso….it’s about being awestruck by craft perfection…and I suppose welling up with tears is the soul’s way of congratulating both the individual and all of humanity for the achievement. Those scissors at 2:30 were interesting. I am still a novice leather craftsman myself and it still blows my mind that most handmade leather shoes are made from thin (1-2oz) leather for the tops of the shoe. And it's satisfying looking at the tools. You can see the wear very prominently on most of them but especially on the blades. This video certainly shows why people used to apprentice in most things. Making quality by hand takes so much discipline and attention to detail.
I saw in another video of yours where commented that this craftsmanship was passed down through generations in your family, but even with learning I think you are truly gifted. It’s so relaxing. Thank you

Spent last period searching to know more about shoes and shoemaking. Those videos are by large margin the best thing I found so far in the internet about this art. The craftsmanship is of a hight level this is clear, but I'm specially amazed by the filming and I congratulate you on the hard, very very hard and professional pedagogical work put on the way you make the complicated too easy to understand with those closeups, this lighting and the angles etc you choose to illustrate it all.
I look at your work and every time I admire how much work is invested in one pair of shoes! You are amazing artists! Your shoes always turn out stunning! It deserves a thousand praises! I repair shoes as a hobby and i am completly stunned by your work. I watch Shoemaking videos for a long time but i have never seen such a attention to detail! This is not a shoe, its an artwork. And as a bonus this video is relaxing me like crazy.

What you do is unique, and a lost art. There used to be shoe cobblers and shops that repaired shoes, belts and purses in every neighborhood yrs ago.
Now, people throw stuff out instead of repairing it.

I like it when people come up with love as the key to acheive high goals. I would much rather rely on loads of discipline and a great deal of ability. Love is much too much volatile. One day it's here, the next day it's gone.
these videos are hipnotizing.. I find myself just quietly watching some shoes being made.. everything about it is amazing.. found a new level of respect for high end shoes.. if it's handmade it's worth the price this is magic..

Я бы такие точно носил бы. Вот только удобно ли в них ходить? На вид они такие жесткие. Но если такие купить, то точно только для того, чтоб носить, однозначно. Не носить, это тоже самое, что купить последний айфон и положить на полку. Жизнь одни и нужно старить пользоваться всем самым наилучшим и получать удовольствие, конечно по своим возможностям.

I watched every second of this process, I saw it all with my own eyes and I still can’t believe it. Now I understand why some people cry when watching an opera virtuoso….it’s about being awestruck by craft perfection…and I suppose welling up with tears is the soul’s way of congratulating both the individual and all of humanity for the achievement. Bravo.
In india no respect shoes maker craft.shose making with hand only special type cast is called Chamar whose income is not enough to survive

Awe inspiring…the thing I love the most is the detail and pride that goes into the bits unseen, every stage is beautiful, but to show that much care and craftsmanship when it will be covered forever my layers of leather is the sign of a master at work. If I am ever rich enough I am coming to Japan to get measured for a bespoke pair of Oxfords!

Those scissors at 2:30 were interesting. I am still a novice leather craftsman myself and it still blows my mind that most handmade leather shoes are made from thin (1-2oz) leather for the tops of the shoe. And it's satisfying looking at the tools. You can see the wear very prominently on most of them but especially on the blades. This video certainly shows why people used to apprentice in most things. Making quality by hand takes so much discipline and attention to detail.
I could watch this for hours and hours. Absolute master craftsman. Thank you for sharing your gift.
