This is one of the best "We are still relevant" albums of all time, to me atleast. Just compare it to their previous album, it has a very distinct 80's sound, this one sounds like it could have been made today.
@@LionMetalMusic-videochannel I don't mean to be rude but I honestly can't understand how any album from Maiden comes anywhere near close to Painkiller. Vocals, leads, power and pure heavy metal is so beyond insane nothing from nearly any pure heavy metal band comes close to the Painkiller album.
One of my songs, from a great album. Classic and definately "metal" more priest please! Another Priest song like this, Judas Priest- Hard as Iron, great reaction. Much love&respect-!-
man, this takes me back to 2005, when i was 16years old and a bricklayer apprentice and blasted this album all day long while at work. this is one of the albums that inspired me to pick up the guitar myself.
I am so glad to hear you review this song. It seems like everyone out there is reacting to the song Painkiller (which is great), but they’re missing all of the amazing tracks on the rest of the album. To me, the album Painkiller represents the pinnacle of classic heavy metal. It’s fast, heavy, complex, with thundering drums and piercing vocals. This album is the complete package. Total Masterpiece from start to finish. It’s funny. I could recommend other Priest songs, but why? There’s not much left after Metal Meltdown. One of my all time favorites. There is an amazing song off one of their more recent albums ‘Angel of Retribution’ (2005), song is called “Hell Rider”. It’s very reminiscent of some of the Painkiller tracks. Other than that, I just don’t think you can improve upon the album Painkiller.
@@saltedcod3533 i won't go to call it heavy metal , it's sounds like they wanted to experiment doing thrash metal , it's a mix between thrash metal and classic heavy metal with some judas priest music formula
One of the great pleasures of watching this video, as a Priest fan, is knowing he's only half way through the journey. So many more great things to come.
It's Awesome you Recognize the Great Talents in Metal.... "Priest" 1 of the Greatest Metal Bands of All Time... Should check out The "Sentinel" by Them...✊🤟✊🤟🎸🧨
Great reaction vid!! The whole album... Nevermind... The whole collection of albums from Judas Priest are amazing. Almost a different vibe on each album and they all pull through so well. Just subbed to your channel.
Just was laughing with a good friend, we recalled cranking this album on the folks new stereo and jumping up on the couch back doing the K.K. Tipton synchronized guitar bob!!! Mom would have lost her mind!
Please keep exploring Judas Priest after this album. The great thing about Priest is their career spans the entire history of the Metal genre, and evolved along with it. You can listen to the Judas Priest discography and get a pretty accurate history lesson on how Metal evolved. They're considered the number 2 after Sabbath for a reason.
I LOVE THE PRIEST!!! Great selection. Rob Halford has an amazing vocal range. I don't know if you have listen to KING DIAMOND yet, but He is another with a wild vocal range. My favorite KING DIAMOND album is "THEM" and it is a themed album the whole thing is a long story but wicked , evil and amazing songs. But I do agree JUDAS PRIEST IS AMAZING!!!! Another great J.P. song is "Blood Red Skies"
Love the Priest reactions man, keep them coming please! Looking forward for you to check out some of their older stuff as well, not as heavy as the Painkiller but just as good if not better. Check out Victim of Changes for a change of pace and some old school Priest.
"Here comes the metal meltdown Run for your lives Can't stop the metal meltdown No one survives"🤘🤘 Hell yeah, finally a vid thats not blocked 😂 Priest be part of the unholy trinity, the whole Painkiller album is top shelf metal. Headbanging on the train to work, got people lookin at me like I'm mad 😜🤘
That’s an excellent pick! If you enjoyed that guitar solo intro then you might also enjoy the guitar solo intro for Heavy Metal from Judas Priest’s Ram It Down album.
Yo ive been binging your reactions lately man! Greatest metal reaction channel on youtube. Your in depth breakdown of a song, the way you don't pause, and your beer recommendations always make me laugh. Anyway, a song you really should check out is Alison Hell by Annihilator. This band is basically a Canadian thrash hybrid of Iron Maiden and old school Metallica with a bit more technicality. The song is based on a true story about a girl who has been seeing the boogeyman and no one believed her, not even her parents. The song narrates her increasing insanity in the most badass and creepy ways. I'm telling you man you'll love it and old school Annihilator
Dude, thats funny you say that. I just reacted to it yesterday and uploaded it just now. That song is a straight banger. Easily my favorite on the album.
I was 4 when it came out and my dad still reminds me about how I used to run around the backseat screaming my head off. Yes no seatbelts needed lol. Now my 4 year son screams his head off.
As you are already aware, every single song on this album is a Masterpiece, some more than others such as Metal Meltdown. Keep it going man. Hammer and the Anvil (imo) is the underdog song to me, and it's one of the best. Then to close it out....the very last song....One Shot at Glory.....fuckin' hold on!!!!! This Train Keeps Rollin' All Night Long!!!!
This was priest answering the new metal of the time , they had been around for over a decade before this , proving they where still a force to reckon with ! Amazing album amazing band . Still in my top three of all time in my book if not number 1
Complete masterpiece! But please, react to the studio version of Touch of Evil, not the music video. That version has some cuts and it ruins it completely. Best off the album for me is One Shot at Glory. You'll have fun with that.
Judas Priest : Defenders of the Faith album is a masterpiece. Freewheel burning...will blow you away! -The sentinel ... just kicks ass with an incredible solo
Any song from Unleashed in the East live album. Good old heavy metal from their early years. Way way before speed, thrash etc. metal music. Victim of Changes is the best sample of Rob's vocal capability at its best.
Some really intense thrash songs to react to: TESTAMENT - Over The Wall EXODUS - War Is My Sheppard KREATOR - When The Sun Burns Red SEPULTURA - Desperate Cry
White Zombie - Black Sunshine, Spiderbaby, Cosmic Monsters, Grindhouse A Go Go...It was more metal and groove oriented rather than the stripper rock he's been dishing out since as a solo artist.
This whole album was a masterpiece.
for me Powerslave & Painkiller = best Metal albums out there
This is one of the best "We are still relevant" albums of all time, to me atleast. Just compare it to their previous album, it has a very distinct 80's sound, this one sounds like it could have been made today.
Fucking whole album is a 10 hands down a classic masterpiece. 🤘🤘🤘
Absolutely!

30 years and still sounds fresh...
Yeah, that's Scott Travis, my childhood friend grew up in Norfolk, Virginia. We went to the same schools high school the whole 9🤟🏻🤟🏻👍👍👍
K.K.Downing and Glen Tipton= Guitar Gods🎸😎
YES
One of thee best Metal albums ever!!!
Wow, great reaction. Touch of Evil is one of the best songs on this album. Sentinel, Beyond the Realms of Death, Freewheel Burning, and so many more!
Priest is soooo fuckn Amazing! Can't believe I stopped listening to this album.
@@TheAdventuresofTNT There is so much more to Judas Priest than this album...older and newer. But yes, Painkiller is up there for sure.
You need to do The Sentinel off Defenders of the Faith, Epic!!!
Or Free Wheel Burning...or Jawbreaker.
@@crazeyjoe The whole album rocks, 1 of my all time favs!!!
@@danielmarciante Damn straight!
Now that is heavy Metal. Thanks my friend for your time and reactions.

‘Here comes the Metal Meltdown Run for your Life Can’t stop the Metal Meltdown No one Survives’. -- Judas Priest FOREVER 🤘🤘
I saw Priest live when they toured for this album, it melted my face.
I was 6 years old when this album came out and my parents were big metal heads. 😂 this is so nostalgic.
T... Great reaction great song🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻👍👍👍
It’s crazy that this album and rust in peace both came out in 1990
Metal Steve I’d throw Slayer Seasons in the Abyss into that mix!
Press Man yes your right , that’s a great album also
one of very few albums where you can't go wrong with any song. loved the reaction, tnx.
man, this takes me back to 2005, when i was 16years old and a bricklayer apprentice and blasted this album all day long while at work. this is one of the albums that inspired me to pick up the guitar myself.
Beyond the Realms of Death, Victim of Changes, Dreamer Deciever
The grin on your face says it all!
Yes , finally more priest
Top-five metal albums ever!!!
Great reaction video , great band. I love the art work they have
Plz try "Beyond the Realms of Death". One of their best.

Yes, yes and yes!!!! You are 100% correct on everything you
have mentioned.
Painkiller is probably the most solid classic heavy metal album ever. 100% back to back re-playability, 0% fillers.

Between the hammer and the anvil is my personal favorite of this album \M/
They are so talented..
This album was 20 years into their career

Okay Boomer
fuck yeah bro, the painkiller album is killer.
Try to do a couple from Firepower (2019). The closest in power and speed since Painkiller... They still have it (at least those who remain). Peace!

Fight - Nailed to the Gun
