Nightcrawler is my favorite track off the Painkiller album. The atmosphere and feel to this song just is sublime. BTW earlier Priest had a few really damn groovy songs. Like Devil's Child or On The Run. I'm a sucker for grooves and they really kill it there
That was an awesome reaction, such a fun song. After painkiller, you should go back in time and listen to Live Vengeance 82 the Sinner. This is a great classic metal song from 77 and shows the power of Halford.
Who told you about this track? Check out Unleashed in The East -The Ripper, Green Manalishi, Victim of Changes, .. Also; Live in Memphis 82, Riding on the Wind, Dessert Plains, ..
🎉you fkn rock 🪨 🎸 love 💕 watching people get excited for real music 🎶 created by geniuses who have the ability to create excellence great work mr 🎉👏✍️👍💯
Rob's voice in on point with this jam. The whole album is a banger!! I'm still diggin' your reactions... Especially with the one and only Megadeth!! Keep'em coming!! 🤘🤘
I really appreciate how you keep the focus on the music itself. So many people doing "reaction" videos now are more interested in getting a reaction to themselves instead. Great job.
Do not forget to react to Judas Priest during the era of Tim "Ripper" Owens on vocals. His work with Judas Priest was both intense and gratifying. Not as high pitch at the extreme end as Rob Halford but he is a great singer in his own right. He has filled in for Rob Halford in Judas Priest, he was chosen to front Dio Disciples, he has covered King Diamond quite well as well as being the frontman for Iced Earth for a period of time. I am sure you will enjoy his work as well.
I personally find the Ripper albums pretty bland. But that was no fault of Tim's, just the more nu-metal-ish direction the band experimented with. He's a damn great vocalist and he could've done Rob's screams (he used to be in a Priest cover band) - they just didn't let him because they wanted to do something different.
@@saschaschneider6355 I agree he could do Rob's screams. I had purchased the '98 Live Metal Meltdown CD back when ya could get 6 CD's for a penny and contract to buy 2 more at normal pricein the next year or so.. I remember listening to it and thinking 'Does Rob Halford have a cold? It sounds like him but not quite like him.' Only later did I find out it was not Rob Halford on vocals LOL.
@@huck944 98 Metal Meltdown. Have the CD on mp3 player. Love the hell outta that album ;) Also have Demolition on mp3. Been looking to get Jugulator on mp3 but no luck so far.. all I can seem to find are imports which cost in the $100-$200 range. Yeah but no. I'd copy it from RUclips first.
YES!!! This is such a great song from a great album, BUUUT!!!! you need to check out "hell bent for leather " or beyond the realms of death " or rapid fire.
BEWARE THE BEAST! Nice to listen to this with someone who really appreciates the metal riffs. Speaking of metal riffs, slog through the Defenders of the Faith Priest album from '85. IT RIPS!!!!! Heads are Gonna Roll, Freewheel Burning, etc...
Look man, JP has been around for a LOOOOONG TIME. And they can play all kinds of metal music from blues to ballads to thrash to whatever. Diving into their catalog is completely worth it. And with their last two albums they still got it.
Absolutely love the priest, and rob helford that man can Wale his vocal range is awesome, for me Painkiller my favourite album and painkiller the song if I had to choose from my top ten solos painkiller would be in my top 5 of all time. Another outstanding reaction so thank you for that please please could you react to the four horseman from Metallica the solo by Kirk Hammet is absolute genius.
I remember an interview with Kerry King (Slayer), on how influenced they were by this band; I can't currently remember if you guys reacted to songs from 1st album Show no Mercy. Iron Maiden influence there too.
Every song on the Painkiller album is awesome. By the way. Have you checked out "Living Bad Dreams" yet? It was left off the original release of the album, so it's a bit less known than the other tracks, but it's still awesome. It's a slower track, like "A Touch of Evil," but it's still got that darkness to it that all the other tracks do, an awesome solo, and, of course, Rob's crazy high vocals. Definitely worth a listen, if you haven't already checked it out.
See why this would've been a good Halloween song? ;) Livin After Midnight, Electric Eye, and The Sentinel are worth checking out. Even the more controversial, poppier stuff like Turbo Lover might be worth a listen.. just to see a different side. Painkiller went full on thrash.. but these guys do have other sides.
Thing song absolutely cranks! You have to check out their live albums "Unleashed in the East". Rob's voice is absolutely in its prime on that one. One of the best live metal albums ever. Also be sure to check out 'Judas is Rising' as performed on "A Touch of Evil: Live". The drums alone will shake the pictures off your walls!
This is cool. You should do more of these full album reactions. When u are done with this album check out ROB HALFORDs debut solo album *HALFORD-RESURRECTION.* I'm kicking myself for not getting it sooner. It is a stone cold classic. Also next time u get around to Pantera u should skip them & try a spin off band like DOWN. Damn Painkiller is great tho. This album & Halfords debut may be my 2 favorite from him.
If there was any filler on this album... you've heard it all. Perfection from here on out. Then on to Defenders side A, songs 1-4. Painkiller aside, the best is yet to come. #MetalGods
Judas is such an underrated hard rock band nowadays. People seem to forget how amazing they are. Metallica mainstreamed heavy metal for a ton of people, but Judas was always the better band imo.
heavy metal is not bad music i know i was 22 when i hear the first time that music and i never stopping listen our buy the music and so one i am old school metal
they were the best in the 80s, turbo was a great album too. But was turning a bit pop metal then, but damn.... dude... hard rock for the new teens, teens nowadays don't have this awesomeness, so sad for them.
I was like Judas Priest, but I was never into them heavy until this album came out. Good God what's the definition of metal LOL besides Megadeth Rust in Peace
OMFG you're drinking Fosters. That's what americans think we Aussies drink. I don't even know if you can buy it here anymore. Haven't seen a Fosters since Paul Hogan was big lmao
the whole painkiller album is a metal masterpiece.

It delights me no end to see reaction to ANY song off the Painkiller album. 30 years old Today. Fantastic reaction.
One of the songs from my childhood 👍
this was like a story . it is one of the best songs
This is an album you can listen to all the way through and still listen to it over and over again and it's still that awesome.
Blood Red Skies. Rob's voice is incredible on that.
Best Judas Priest - Victim of Changes... you wont forget this tune. Lyrics and song is amazing.
You should have a million subs, you and your wife are awesome, keep it up.
Next album: Defenders of Faith. Thats another perfect album of Priest lml
they had a great stage set up and show/setlist in support of the album on the Defenders tour.... I saw it 4 times
Always in the shadow of Screaming For Vengeance :-(
Painkiller and Defenders are my favorites by far! Saw them on the "Painkiller" tour and was blown away. Would love to have seen the Defenders tour.

Painkiller and Defenders ..
.. I couldn't agree more! 🍻
Defenders and Painkiller sure is their best 2 albums, but Jugulator is my #3 favourite.
One shot at glory , Beyond the realms of death these are the best imo.
One shot at glory is fantastic! Thanks for the reminder

Underrated Song, it is one of my favorites of JP
Victim of Changes, is an awesome old school song
Saw them over the summer, He still brings it
The Sentinel
I hope you will hear the Screaming for Vengeance Album. The entire thing is solid
Check out The Sentinel by Judas Priest. IMO, one of the essential heavy metal anthems.
Beyond the Realms of Death... a great, tho dark, Judas Priest song

The great trinity from Painkiller: Nightcrawler, Between the Hammer & the Anvil, A touch of Evil. They must be listened together!
