- The Backcountry Cinch Straps are used to secure a rear duffle or pannier topper to your bike. This is our version of the ultimate cinch strap. There are no elastic or plastic parts to break/stretch on a long trip - just high-tensile polyfilament webbing, two metal cam buckles, and features you won’t find in any other strap.
These two-piece straps quickly connect to the bike using lanyard loops, and they also have adjustable-length tails, so they'll work on everything from a large high capacity duffle to a small pannier topper. They include strap keepers, so your excess strap lengths won't flap around in the wind, and the buckles have a webbing backing to prevent damage to the bag/bike.
We designed these straps to function as an emergency tow strap if you have a breakdown (put the rear duffle on your back, worn as a backpack, and use the straps to tow) or an emergency tie-down system if you have to load your bike in the back of someone's truck in a pinch. Check out the product video to see how it works.

You guys create gear defined by jobs to be done. I love what you make.
Dang, we really appreciate your message, David. Thank you!
I'm liking those longer videos that explain the use cases and thought process that go into the products. Very compelling, thank you!! Now only if there's a way to reduce the number of straps and buckles to make soft luggage easier to deal with 🤔
Glad you like them!
Freak'n awesome Pete! A new use I just didn't think of, I love the Back County 40. Every time I use it I find some new little thing that was so well thought out. You can tell it was designed and built by people that really have experience in long distance off pavement travel. Thanks to everyone at Mosko for all you do!
🙏 Thanks a ton, Mark! We get so stoked when fellow riders find the smaller details on our gear as helpful as we do. Appreciate your support. Happy trails!
THE best straps I've ever used, I got rid of all the others!
Thanks for sharing and for your support!
elasticity keeps tension on all the time, maybe a rubber section stiched to cinched webbing so you have both. rubber just stetches out when used for towing etc.
Not a bad idea!
Ingenious!
Thanks!
@@MoskoMoto Anytime. YOU guys are Brilliant at what you do! I have a quiver of Mosko Moto Equipment and Gear!
Great Product..like all you're Product
Glad you like it! Thanks for your support. 🙌
I really respect your design and opinion for sure. However, I can't exactly agree. There is totally a place and hard off road for the elastic tensioning system. I think you could incorporate something in the middle of that strap, whether it's some sort of rubber or elastic that maintains a base tension
Pete's Mosko Moto stuff is so well thought out, because...they USE they're stuff, all the time.
We also appreciate feedback from our customers! That way with our experience and customer feedback we can continue to make our stuff even better.
They also work for a hammock. I use it all the time 👍🏼
Right on, Juan! That's really cool.
