I just want to finish a sweater, that’s the dream. I’m a pretty intermediate knitter but I lose interest so quickly and have a million started projects. Listening to your podcast has motivated me to try and actually finish the projects I’m working on (although it’s also motivated me to start new projects). I’m trying to make myself finish the items I’ve started in the last year before casting on a sweater- probably in big yarn and needles to help encourage me so that it finished quicker. I’ve come to realize I like looking at, buying for, and starting new projects more than actually knitting them 😆 I should probably just work at a yarn store.

Fun video!! Just a note to say to get rid of moths in yarn you need to freeze for 72 hours.
even then they recomend keeping in bag to make sure no eggs survive. Alpaca is a moth favorite by the way. BUT great find!

I love your pumpkin socks! I tried learning how to spin yarn a couple years ago and I gave up so quickly. I think taking a class was definitely the way to go. I can't wait to see your progress! Right now, I'm finishing putting the star patches on my Folklore cardigan and sewing up the seams. I've been working on this cardigan since the beginning of May and I'm so excited to see it completed!

Such cutie little pumpkin socks! Today I wound up yarn for 3 different projects as I want to do a little swatching and feel what inspires me! I didn’t intend to put 3 together but so it goes. The ones I am considering? Northwoods V Neck, Stockholm Slipover (this one is winning so far), and Slightly Sassy V.

I love your pumpkin sock design! It’s super cute. If you do decide to write up the pattern, I would love to test it for you. Colourwork socks are my favourite thing to knit.
My dream knit would be an all over cable sweater. The thing the holds me back is choosing the right shade of yarn to use. I have a very pale complexion and the gorgeous creamy shades cable sweaters are usually knit it are far too cool toned for me. I’m still hunting for that perfect creamy beige that is warm and squishy.

Love the pumpkin socks, they are adorable!! One of my dream knits is a super long cardigan, but I'm always too scared to commit to buying that much yarn 😅

My dream knits are the Dark Academia sweater and when it comes out, the Light Academia sweater. They are both gorgeous and I've had the pattern for Dark Academia since it came out. For whatever reason I keep casting on other sweaters though. After my Rhinebeck sweater is done it is going on the needles even if it just sits there after that.

Erica I would purchase your pumpkin sock pattern. I love knitting cardigans from handspun yarn. Spinners usually sell their finished product at very good prices and the quality is beautiful to knit with.

I want to make the lento and a musselbourgh. I keep the yarn out in my line of site so that I can cast on but they just doesn't seem to be priority. I currently have 1 summer tee, one wooly pullover and 1 cardigan and colourwork mitts on the needles. I always have socks on the go (which I am working on while I watch your video). Darn needing a full time job, haha. I once found Noro silk / wool plates in Walmart. I was shocked I got a tee amount for $15 dollars Canadian. I have never seen it there since and I don't know how it got there but I check whenever I am in a store just in case. Your pumpkin socks are gorgeous! Well done!

Good morning! I just wanted to share I started the korshavn Cardigan as well, with mohair, and the holes in the basketweave were really big and I decided to frog it. Decided I don't want to do that pattern after all. Sounds like you are feeling similar after your swatch. 😊

Your refrigerator freezer does not get cold enough to kill off critters or eggs. It would have to be much colder and stay there for at least 72 hours. Better to skein up the balls and simmer/wash them.
