I'm making the TittyGaga socks. I'd be tempted to use the fold-over neckline. As the sweater essentially hangs from the neck (and shoulders), I'd want it to be pretty stable.
that's such a great point! thank you for the tip, i think the fold-over neckline is the best option :)

They all look so great!! I’ve never done a fore or afterthought heel and am curious, why wouldn’t one continue the heel in a different color immediately (re: Imber sock)? Is it so you can continue the color work in a tube? Maybe it’s easier to have pattern continuity this way? They’re gorgeous!

Next time you put in an afterthought heel, leave the last two stitches in tact when you are pulling out the cut yarn, don't pull that yarn out, at the beginning and end of the rows. You won't have any holes if you do this.
