- ▸ Days of Future Past, the Rise of the Sentinels, and even the events of Genosha in the original X-Men the Animated Series - I believe it's all connected to one being: Bastion. This fusion of Master Mold and Nimrod has been operating from the shadows, manipulating events to ensure mutantkind's demise. And I am going to prove it to you.

In the Xmen tas, Cable is from a different future to bishop. Bishop is from 2055 and Cable is from from the year 3999 according to time fugitives in season 2.
Sure but X-Men 97 is changing that.
@@comics_explainedinteresting. Can’t wait for next episode.
@@comics_explained when he was in episode 6, Cable still had the computer from 3999.
@@comics_explained you think we will see Stryfe???
@@comics_explainedbastian schweinsteinger😂
Dear Marvel Comics, Hire Rob as a writer. He utilizes the HELL out of existing continuity and makes everything connects AND makes sense. Like donnie Cates.
This !
He posted on twitter he is doing something with marvel but hasn’t said anything else yet.
This would be amazing
Not woke enough to push for the gay agenda. Rob wouldn't make Star-Lord magically gay alluva sudden.
No. Why would they hire someone that could result in success? Have you existed on earth in the past decade?
Three days later and this man is spot on about Bastion
The prequal comics hinted At bastion
Nice.
Another bit that supports Bastion being the big baddie is that in the comics the story arc that had him launching a huge operation against mutants was titled Operation Zero Tolerance, and the three parter that fineshes the season of X-Men 97 are titled "Tolerance is Extinction", Plus that story arc in the comics ran in 1997!
It's basically confirmed now
HOLY SHIT OZT is Operation Zero Tolerance
All hail the mighty "Comics Explained" for nailing it! It WAS Bastion all along! Respect my Brother.
Dope how the editor changed the hulk picture into nimrod that's amazing 😂
Fr.
Had to go back and check if Nimrod had been there the whole time and I was just tripping
@@mickey3017I thought I was tripping too bro bruh😂
1:55 2:03🤣
This is probably the most impressive Marvel prediction ever
I remember in X-Men TAS that Mystique told Rogue that assassinating Kelly was Apocalypse's idea, and as he was her boss, she got the order to do it. The idea was to ensure a war between humanity and mutants.
Thank you.
This is what I’m talking about. Bastion and Apocalypse are both working for ensuring the same catalyst: boiling point tensions between humans and mutants. But they are working independently from each other and for opposite ultimate goals. Bastion feels its the perfect set up to a sentinel dominated world where mutants are enslaved or exterminated, and Apocalypse views it as the perfect conditions for the Age of Apocalypse. Xavier’s dream of human/ mutant coexistence may seem naive at times (perhaps even moreso in 2024 than in 1963) but the two alternatives are indeed very bleak in opposite extremes from each other.
Mind blowing 🤯
I believe she chose gambit for two reasons:
- she didn’t like him dealing with her “daughter “ Rogue
- His background was still sort of mysterious even to the X-men so
they wasn’t sure if they fully trusted him
And if they dug into Gambit's past they will find associations with an assassin's guild as well.
“The name’s Gambit, mon ami. Remember it.”
I do think it’s cool that Cable was almost immediately recognized by his mother.
*mon ami
@@my2randomcentsHaha, thanks.
”I only know two languages. English and Bad English.”
You called it
THANK YOU, I’ve been swearing to my friends that it’s not just Sinister and we literally see Bastian teased twice + Nimrod was added to the opening credits. There’s no way it’s just Sinister.
Sinister specificallys says "Our prologue" and he uses OUR several times in that sentence. Its not just Sinister, that speaks loud enough.
Plus Sinister and Nimrod worked together recently in the comics... So it wouldn't be a far fetched idea for the cartoon. Just swapping out Nimrod with Bastion.
0:00 Sus 🤨
This is almost exactly what I've been saying to friends ever since I saw the new intro scenes in episode 6, where there's a Nimrod standing inside Master Mold and we also see the scenes of Nimrod getting destroyed from Ones Man's Worth. It has to be Bastion. Also like you said Task was shot from behind by what appears to be a weak standard sentinel blast, while Mr Sinister appears in front of him. It's a misdirect. They'll work Bastion into the timeline. However it shakes out, it's fun to discuss and speculate! Thanks for the vid!
Dude, you were right, it was Bastien, I just saw episode 7
I've watch a lot of your videos and this is my first time actually seeing you in person. Now that I can see your enthusiasm it really makes it a better video overall
This the type of content you shine in bro..thanks
Mahoraga is Nimrod without the sauce?
LMAOOOOO
I don't mean to out nerd you or anything, but Mystic says something to Rogue in the days of Future past episode along the lines of Apocalypse will punish her for not killing Senetor Kelly and humans and mutants not getting what they deserve so Apocalypse was behind the assassination attempt. I still like the bastion theory not something i had thought of.
Exactly
Apocalypse is the ultimate instigator.
I've been pleasantly surprised by the show. Excellent scenery in the back.
This aged like fine wine well done 👌👌
Good to see ur well brotha ! Thank you for the great content! Still waiting on Comics Explained podcast!
Keep giving us more X-Men content !
Well you were right
The sinister point occurred to me as well.
Came back to say what everyone else is saying, you were right 😅
This man is cookinggggg!!!! Love the Desk Rob and new style!
I like how when Rob started talking about Nimrod, he swapped out the Hulk portrait for a Nimrod portait
Super excited for episode 7 of X-Men '97! :)
Alex Ross is such a great artist.
Love the setup Rob!
The reason i always liked Nimrod is because he reminded me of T2 and i loved T2, he was like the T-1000 of sentinels : D
I love one man's worth. One of my favorite episodes
7:31 Yes we do know, Mystique actually told Rogue that Apocalypse wanted Kelly dead to ensure humanity the future it deserves!
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 great explanation! Agree with some of the comments as well. Def remember TAS clearly.
Beautiful as always, Rob!
Hulk transformed into Nimrod temporarily.
"Didn't think we'd notice, but I did."
what where...what I miss?
@@robertmontgomery8859
As soon as he starts talking about Nimrod, the portrait for Hulk changes
We DO know why Mystique tried to kill Senator Kelly- she tells Rogue it was Apocalypse who ordered it, to provoke a war between mutants and humans.
Also, I think you're forgetting about the other time-travel episode where Apocalypse tricks the Friends of Humanity into unleashing an anti-mutant plague.
(and lastly, anger is not the opposite of fear- especially in this case, the anger stems from fear)
This prediction deserves more views & likes😂 Damn good call my guy, you’re the go to on so much stuff if I didn’t catch what was going on, carry on my guy & continue to cook 🔥
Bastion is in the Adler photo. He's sitting on the other side of Forge.
He even has the pink collar and black suit
Actually, it was explained in Part-2 that Mystique was on orders from Apocalypse to assassinate Kelly, "to give the human race the future it deserves'.
Makes perfect sense & I love your passion about this
Insane setup Rob! Love Alex Ross pieces
Can you do a series about the most obscure Marvel heroes and villains ever? Side characters who made an appearance in only one page, in one comic, back in the 1960s, as an example. It would be a very, very fascinating deep dive into the encyclopedia of nearly forgotten characters in the Marvel universe! Cheers!
Your enthusiasm makes me so happy
Wow you called it! Just finished episode 7 and it explained a lot. You really know your stuff Rob 👍🏾
Keep using the pictures in the back! That was a great treat.
100% agree
The background are 🔥 Rob luv it !
I gotta say, Rob, I was thinking the same thing when I saw Bastion's face covered in the photo. That's the benefit of the show having another 30 years of X-Men comics to borrow from.
I'm two days from the future, you're right. Bastion is coming.
Love this video format
You are right. It is Bastion. Well done
Good work 👍🏽
Good job dude. Totally called it.
Great video. I like it, make more videos like that please :)
Let's make a bet. If the season ends and Bastion isn't even mentioned at all, you have to make a single, genuine compliment about the Inhumans. Deal?
I want Rob to see this and do it!
Yea u lost fam
Yea u lost
He never accepted the bet soooooo I didn't lose 🤣. The risk of complimenting the Inhumans was too high a wager 🤣.
Can't wait to see Gambit come back as Death!
That won't happen
@@BatRoulette I mean in comic books nobody's dead forever and since both X-Men: TAS and X-Men: 97 are heavily adapting the comics and you can see what I'm getting at.
@BatRoulette If Sinister is there and Apocalypse is previewed along with Gambit's death yeah he is gonna be Death
@@BatRouletteit will, too much setup for it not to happen
@@BatRouletteDid you read the storyline?
Well after the newest episode I can say he was right
Epic posters/ pictures behind you Rob
You were right🤯
This is exactly why I need rob to talk abt these things.
In the TAS, Mystique was working for Apocalypse in Season 1. That includes the Senator's abduction. IIRC, she said that the attempt to help the Senator with all the rest of his living was Apocalypse's idea. So, either it was actually Apocalypse or it was your theory of it being Bastion.
You were right😂.. I can just imagine you geeking out when you found out in the recent episode .
"I'M ABOUT TO BLOW EVERYBODY...'S MIND"
And it's gonna be Amazing lol
Pause
Dope Breakdown.
I’m loving the set up !!
Gambit Is The G.O.A.T. 😎 Dope Video, Rob!
Good shit as always, Rob. Marvel has us in the war room using our brains and anticipating things again!
You're just the best. Thank you!
Of course Nimrod was Mystique's fault. It always Mystique's fault.
This aged PERFECTLY!
I feel like you got that job at Marvel and you just can't tell us yet!
The only reason Sinister is working for Bastion is the prize he was promised has to be a captured Cable. Mr. Sinister got his powers from Apocalypse due to their shared obsession with mutant evolution. They both want to take over the world, but Sinister refuses to live in Apocalypse’s shadow. However he’s not strong enough to defeat his master, but smart enough to create a living weapon, Cable to do the job. I’m sure Sinister thinks he can easily use and dispatch Bastion; Bastion likewise believes his true masterpiece, probably an upgraded version of himself with powers like the live action DOFP Sentinels, will make short work of both Sinister and his puppet Cable.
THIS MAN DOES NOT MISS‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️
Great video I think your spot on...I would like to see mother box eventually if not already!
Wow Rob it’s crazy how accurate you are 😮
Hi 😊😂I love your channel of comics books storys .I want to ask you a question do you have any action figures you don't want any more
Good ish, Rob!
When you're right, you're right‼️🤓
The sentinels in DOFP were the closest thing to Nimrod in a live action film, but they didn't reconstruct after they blew up.
Mic drop.
Well done!
Bastion is in a picture with Forge assumingly when he was working for the government. There's also a photo of X-Force but all anyone talks about is the picture of Forge in his swimming trunks. Also, in episode 5, right before the real chaos begins, you can see someone on the balcony with grey/silver hair and hints of magenta on his clothing walking away. Great direction for an animated series 🎉
You mean x factor
2 foes sent chills down my spine. The energy vampire, and nimrod.
I like how Bishop explained in the first episode that time is written and rewritten in the past and future.
What's up Rob, love all your videos man would love to chat about some comics with you sometime. X-Men 97 is awesome and don't forget this Wednesday crisis on infinite earths part 2 is about to drop! I can't wait for that, and as far as my theory or your theory on the villain of the show it's too early to tell but we will find out won't we 😎
Those pictures in the back wall are insanely awsome
Those Alex Ross paintings in the back are amazing
It's Cassandra Nova. She's the one who tricked old boy into giving his DNA to control the wild sentinels in the comics. And plus they're about to introduce her in the wolverine and Deadpool movie.
This was my initial theory
i would think its her. but cable said "He is coming." and since they are doing it in DP3 i doubt they would do her twice so quickly
No they didn’t, bastion is mastermold and nimrod combined, that’s why rogue saw nimrod when she tried to absorb gyrichs memories, in this version obviously sinister had something to with it
Pictures changing in the background is dope
Nimrod vs Amazo
Wow! What episode is the footage starting at 2:43 from? Looks like Malcolm and Randall but don't remember seeing that.
Love the doubling down on Bastion, and I hope you're right about it.
What up Rob. My guy man I am a comics explained og. Love your content bro. No one breaks down like u
Well, looks like you called it Rob.
Exactly and don’t forget about the episode in the 92 series when Sinister called Xavier and begged him to save him from the energy monster. Sinister is not a direct physical threat at all
I just love how it was then, and always a kid soap opera for us then and now!!!
Happy Sunday everyone.
Mystique's assassination plan was from Apocalypse, they do show that in 2nd epsiode of "days of future past."
Rob is definitely cooking something.
Damn Rob, right again!
Well done. Well done indeed! 👏
Once Nimrods time anchor band was destroyed, HOW did he get back to his future time? Is it possible that he slinked away in the present and found Master Mold to propose the new plan? The plan to fuse together since their first plan failed?
