    • @BuxiArtist
      @BuxiArtist 6 лет назад +6

      No I can't see him glancing and even if that is the case I'm pretty sure it's a guide.
      Practice makes improvement and robs come a long way.
      Bet your bottom dollar he can spitball on any given day providing references, citations etc.
      I've seen Rob plenty of times on Periscope talking to his audience without guiding tools presenting them to the same high standard of these videos.
      Pointing that out does absolutely nothing to his credibility.

    • @scinnyc
      @scinnyc 5 лет назад +15

      Liefield didn't even make Cable's origin. When Liefield first introduced Cable, he was a mystery man for a couple years. Other writers afterwards fleshed out his origins and made him more interesting and complex. Cable actually has one of the best origins in comics and his existence is linked to several other prominent characters.

    Not sure if this has been mentioned, but does anyone remember Tyler Dayspring aka Genesis? • @DirtCheapFU

      Or a would-be Omega Levels, if they didnt get left behind or killed off. IE Generation X team

    • @theonlymatthew.l
      @theonlymatthew.l 6 лет назад

      Ian-Devon Lewis if you are going to use the criteria of a character never having been killed then you're going to have an awfully small list

    • @DirtCheapFU
      @DirtCheapFU 6 лет назад

      they werent all killed off. Skin... who didnt definitely didnt have the making of an omega level unless he was a one piece character. Synch definitely did have the making of one. Someone who could synchronize with and/or shutdown abilities from close and long range. Jubilee's development was getting kinda up there in the dangerous zone. But she's now a vampire babysitter. M, who was like a female version of Gladiator who could have easily proved to be stronger if she wanted herself to be. New M was kind of a disappointed and definite downgrade in power level. Mondo(or better yet the self-made clone/spawn of Mondo), could have been Marvel's real counterpart to Swampthing. Husk was interesting. They were pushing her to being able to be able to copy anyone including their powers.

    • @DirtCheapFU
      @DirtCheapFU 6 лет назад

      I just miss Generation X... such a miss opportunity for an underrated team led by someone who became one of the strongest telepaths.

    • @theonlymatthew.l
      @theonlymatthew.l 6 лет назад

      Ian-Devon Lewis my point is the reason you attempted to disqualify Rachel would disqualify 90% of the characters out there. Who hasn't died in comics at this point? And yes I was a fan of Generation X but I really don't see how dragging all of that into this discussion is remotely Germain

    Do your channel however you wish. I do want to say though... personally, what made me subscribe is that your scripted videos are like sitting and speed reading comics with you narrating key points. Which to me is very enjoyable. Your joy and excitement of comics still comes out, but I find myself able to experience many comics through your channel that I have not read fairly thoroughly through your scripted and in depth videos. That is why I subbed. Watching you just sit and talk about them with comic panels tossed in from time to time, doesn't appeal to me as much. Your knowledge is impressive, but I thought this channel was more about educating comic fans on characters and story lines they may not have the time to invest in catching up on. And the best way to do that for us is to experience the comic with you. Through the panels AND your sexy voice. Which I really enjoy and have enjoyed. So in closing, mad respect, just wanted to offer a perspective based on the other side of the coin. I may be in the minority here, but I enjoyed the in depth scripted videos walking us through the comic panels. I get it is more work on the editing, but yeah. Thanks for reading and thanks for your channel it has been very educational and entertaining.

    Honestly man, it had never even crossed my mind you go straight from the dome and don't use a set-in-stone script, bc honestly it's that good bro. It seems like it comes pretty natural, and you clearly have the knowledge on lock so it's no issue for you to just tackle a subject coherently. I feel like using a script would actuallu hurt your videos, bc your style is suited so well to freeform discussion.
    Ultimately, it all comes down to the individual. Some channels I watch clearly use set scripts (I mean where they don't seem to deviate AT ALL from what they've prepared) and it works for them. Some rely on scripts yet it just falls flat and is unrelentingly boring. Some content creators try to dive in and improvise, and it couldn't be more apparent they really NEED to use scripts lol. Your style & format works great, keep it up! 👍👍👍

    Rob. I love you and your channel man. I need you to know this though, watching this video basically helped me create a new drinking game. 'Basically, it's like this', is simple, pick one of your videos and every time you say basically, we have to drink, basically the point is to get people incredibly intoxicated. Bonus drinks are consumed when you say 'basically' and 'it's like this' in the same sentence. I may end up using a version where some players are on team 'basically' and others are on team 'it's like this.' I don't drink anymore, but for this I might need to come out of retirement, basically for research purposes.

    I like your videos unscribed too because when they were you always had a monotone voice. But now I really feel more of a passion for this stuff in your voice without a scripted
