That sucks bro I'm glad you're okay I had a drive shaft in my 70 Nova come through the floorboard and almost took my foot off and if you never had a drive shaft explode it scares the living shit out of you I thought my foot was gone I just felt hot air and when and I swear to God my foot was gone I was just worried about parking the car
@@srt6.1l we do a lot of street racing in Tampa on Gandy Bridge and what's funny was my friend had a 70 Nova with a small block called ZZ Nova because it looked like the ZZ Top 30 to 4 but it was an 70 Nova red it was famous in Tampa in the late 90s early 2000 anyways we both had driveshaft loops and his did the exact same thing it's not supposed to come through the floorboard but it did both times and we both walked away the only difference was he was trained linking this car he was racing and he was peddling it to show off and on the fourth pedal it came apart and we were right at the finish line on the bridge and I like I said it is a violent explosion you think someone got shot or something blew up

Crazy man! Mines currently in the shop. Engine seized up due to overheating issues. Shop keeps getting engines that don’t link up with the transmission. 2 months now this week will be the 4th engine they get. Fingers crossed 🤞

I would be so hurt all the work and all the blood sweat and tears put in to something that no one was really willing to do. Majority/most of the car community would hate the thought of a v6 challenger as shitty or a dumb idea to mod such vehicle but they’re not as weak as people assume the v6 build was amazing and proving the scene wrong
Glad you were safe lucky! And let this be a warning to others as we've always said you must upgrade everything behind the engine once you start upgrading and get into good horsepower levels. This goes for V8s also they only built them to hold so much power from the factory. The V6 drivetrain is definitely not built to hold that kind of power. 86 face and anybody else would know for sure. Even though I am not a fan of the pentastar V-6 I much prefer the sound of the 3.5 older V6 in the 2005 through 2010 and saying that the good thing about you doing the V6 platform it gives people hope who cannot afford the v8 car payment or insurance payment that they can have something unique and special that they can slowly build and they can open their hoods Without Shame
Another thing in this community we must do..... we all need to start carrying fire extinguishers. For your own safety and just in case you can help someone else. You just never know.
Next car you build,put a fire suppression system with one of the nozzles tapped into the bellhousing as well as a steel blow proof bellhousing and 2 driveshaft hoops,one front and one rear.I was driving my deceased dads Corvette a few months after he passed and it spit the clutch out and it ripped through the bell housing cutting the hydraulic lines and igniting the car.I saved the body of the car,but it needed the firewall and Trans tunnel replaced as well as all of the wiring and injectors on top of the motor.It trashed the brake booster and everything on the firewall too.Oh and the ac/heating stuff inside the dash... I salvaged the car and put the firewall in it from a mint running low mile" parts" car.I went back to Afghanistan for another year and during that time my sister sold it on me without me knowing as well as the other car.I had the titles in a drawer at my dad's house at the beach.Anyway lesson learned is that I will run all of the safety equipment necessary to save myself and the car if possible.
My goal is to buy a C5 Corvette Z06, install a top end kit, e85 tune and push over 500 crank horsepower N/A then I'll hopefully be in scat pack territory. And if I decide to evolve from scat pack territory to hellcat territory I'll install an A&A supercharger along with the e85 tune then hopefully I'll be in hellcat territory. It's just what I like I have respect for everybody you are blessed with what you have and do what you want to do.
The 8SPD in the Pentastar cars is not the same as the V8s. It's only rated at 330lbft of torque. I don't know about the drive shaft, but guessing they are also of a weaker stock compared to the V8s. This is important information to consider when building a V6. I was going to supercharge my GT until I realized the transmission is in fact not the same as the V8s. It's actually produced by Chrysler under license from ZF and has a substantial lower power rating while maintaining the pros of the original design. While it is possible to build a killer pentastar Challenger, it would be a huge investment and really be totally custom top down. Can't slap on 500+HP on a car engineered for 300HP without rebuilding the entire thing ... lol.

this wasn’t an engine failure or tuning problem it was a literal failure from how far i pushed this car, hellcat driveshafts snap like sticks never said it wasn’t related but it’s a far stretch to sit here and try to blame ripp or the tuner for what i did to the car

that gas station wasn’t open and there were none around the car was already engulfed in flames i tried using what i had in the car to put it out nobody just sat there and let the car burn, this is why i don’t like sharing stuff because everyone always assumes stuff and will never know the whole story but i guess that’s the internet

depends on the car and who’s installing it, a kit is usually around 5800
