    I used this pump to replace the pump on a Ecell 3100 PSI pump. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxEU8wdEWW31diRsOawsCNfWEho39M27qd The model # is PWZ0163100.02 for those looking for a matching pump. It went on very easily - 10 minutes at most. Feels like a lot more power than the original but that's to be expected. Can't tell a difference when cleaning with the wand or floor sprayer. Would recommend as it was cheaper than most I found. The maintenance free aspect is definitely a plus too. Have used it through about 6 tanks of gas and have zero issues so far.

    Thanks so much for posting this. I was able to do the repair with your video without much trouble at all. If it helps anyone else, one of my tube fittings had expanded and wouldn’t stay on when I ran the motor. I fixed this by just snipping the expanded end a little to create a snug fit.
    I live in Florida so the heat probably caused the tube to expand on that one side (the side facing the road).

    If you have a 2016 Kia Sedona, your pump will actually be even harder to reach, facing the front of the vehicle. I ended up removing both screws that fasten the tank in so that I could maneuver the tank some to and get the pump removed and replaced, then put everything back in. My 2016 Santa Fe - exact same problem as you showed. It had been leaking quite a while but lately leaked the tank out in a few weeks. You saved me a lot of time by knowing exactly how to approach this! Because I am cheaper than you, I lightly sanded the plastic where I could get to it, sprayed carb cleaner on it (to remove the grease). Then used some good 2 part epoxy (24 hr cure) on it all around the joint (not just on the crack). I'll report back in a few weeks if this is successful but I bet it will be fine. Saved the $24 for a new pump! PS, I use distilled water in my tank. I've found that when it dries, there are no water spots and it never freezes where I live.

      Thanks Glen! Purchased a Febi Bilstein (German make) pump which Amazon advised would fit my car. Fitted it Thursday, realised it was still dripping - on Friday I refitted it with some PTFE plumbers tape round the washer gromit and the pump inlet nozzle.
      The pump came with a new washer gromit which like yours was a little smaller than the original but I used it as when trying to get the original one out it popped through into the tank, I had to fish it out with a wire, I then couldn't get the original washer to go back into place.
      Could I suggest flushing the tank out well before fitting the new pump. I had to rinse it about 8 times to get rid of 8 years of gunge which had built up inside.
      Good luck anyone else trying this, £17.88 for the pump is cheaper than taking it to a garage! Just remember to reconnect the electrical plug before reattaching the wheel arch trim!

    Hi. Great video. Would this tightness test apply to every washer fluid pump? I just tested my pump from 08 Passat and after blocking fluid intake side and blowing other side bubbles appeard in unexpected place. My understanding is that there should be no air comming out from any other place that fluid inlet and outlet. Am I right? Thanks

    Hi, Thanks for the video. I have the same problem on my Kia Ceed. Not sure tho if the pump is cracked like shown here.
    The question if it's not cracked, what are my options for a leakage repair?

      Check the pump or look for a cracked tank or hose.

    Hey! Nice fancy double-dongger pump there! 👍😎
    I had that same problem with the rubber on a 98 Ram 2500. Was an AC Delco pump, too. Installed the rubber, slipped in the pump, filled up with fluid and she peed everywhere! Ended up doing the same thing you did and reused the old one. No harm in reusing rubbers, right? 😄

    Thanks for the super informative video bud.. all fixed, with the same crack being the issue. Only issue I had now was that my rear washer which was previously working, is not spraying... I'm thinking I tugged something out of place... was getting dark so I left it for diag tomorrow... have you had any similar issues?

    • @ozzstars_cars
      @ozzstars_cars  2 года назад +2

      No I haven't. If you bought an aftermarket pump I would suspect that is the issue. Good luck.

    Thanks for your awesome, informative video! That was exactly my problem. Even the location of the crack was the same!
    Just one question. I am trying to buy a pump and I see some people have complained that those replacements will pump the front and the rear simultaneously. Did you use the one you mentioned in the comment section? If so, did it have this problem? Thanks again :)
