Understanding Turbofan Engines and Functioning of Auto Thrust!

Hello. In this video we take a look at the construction and working principle of a Turbofan Engine. We consider a twin spool turbofan engine and look at the parts individually. We see the function of each of these parts and how these components work together to create the thrust. We also take a look at the thrust force that is created and how this turbofan engine creates the required thrust force.
The video also shows the functioning of Auto Thrust. We see the meaning of auto thrust and the different thrust modes for the Auto Thrust.

Dumb Question: Can a turbofan engine be completely electric if you had a battery source that could theoritically power it?

It would not be called a turbo fan. It would a propeller with an electric motor!

A good start. Lots of aspects not covered -Lubrication, cooling, services, starting, Ice and rain , inlet flow distortion, Guide vanes, bleed air, Engine Ratings, FADECS and other controls, and Autothrottle, theres a few more modes nowadays ... There;s an outline for the next edition
