I really liked the tutorial but i think when you call it beginner tutorial maybe consider showing the shortcuts (like shift + z or whatever) next time. Sometimes it's really hard to follow when you're that fast.
For anyone struggling with the tree extrude part, Select the top face, press E on the keyboard then right click your mouse straightaway to cancel (this creates a top face copy), then press S to be able to scale the top face (copy).
@@mrmusic3756 after placing your circle you just need to press E to extrude dragging towards the centre of the circle. I will test what I've said to make sure and reply when I have done
I know he is basically telling us everything on how to do this. But I got completely lost somewhere along specular. This is so complicated and that makes it even more impressive !
This is NOT beginner! I am a beginner and just starting and... you are SO fast! You don't explain anything, you don't go into any information, you jump all around, and also, there are steps missing even in the first 58secs! We can tell you are great at this stuff - but - seriously if you want to advertise it as beginner, remember beginners don't even know where things are!
For anyone that has used Blender, they know this is lowest quality of work imaginable (almost) ... and THAT'S what makes Blender and this video so powerful. Videos like these lower the threshold for aspiring 3D artists and are as valuable as BlenderGuru's donut.
As a beginner I’m not sure how anyone got past the part where he starts making trees. He’s clearly hitting shortcuts to scale the faces a certain way and not saying how he is scaling them
For scaling you can click s key and drag the mouse, left click to end. Similarly click r key and drag the mouse for rotating, left click to end. For modifying the shapes, enable proportional editing from 3D view header. And then move the vertices around with mouse. With lot of practice, it becomes easy.
wow , as a total beginner , this one is amazing me ! i tested a few things you did just to create some random forms and get familiar with the toys ; i felt like a magician creating stuff ! I think i'm gonna view it again and again soon !
hey man i just wondered if you know something when i rendered.why the big cube with boole modifire exist?. is there a way to remove the cube so when i rendered the cube doesnt exist? sorry for my bad english
@@Bagoesardiansyah Find the boolean object (probably named "Cube.001") in the Outliner section. You'll find that the "Boolean Object" or "Cube.001" is a bit transparent. And next to the eye icon, there's a camera button. Simply click the button and boom! The object no longer appears in the render view.
@@RobertoLongobardi What if you wanted to move the river to somewhere else? Also, isn't the object required for the boolean to actually negate (or differentiate) the cut off area?
@@IdOnThAvEaUsE69 If you want to move river then yes, you still need the object. For the boolean condition, instead, as soon as you "Apply" the transformation (as described in the video), it actually modifies the terrain object, so you don't need the object anymore. By the way, once you have applied the transformation, you won't be able to move the river anymore, because the terrain is now actually carved with the river.
Thanks so much! This tutorial helped me really learn and understand some basic fundamentals like Extrude, and even a little bit about nodes and textures, You earned a Sub 😁👌
Really, i fell for you sir. You are amazing. I have seen many videos and blender tutorial but no one was explaining perfectly, but you have explained very extraordinarily. Keep on sir. 😘😘😘
You should rename this from tutorial to showcase, you speed along everything and bearly tell what to do, only saying the basics, the tree part is what I'm stuck on but you don't say what to do to make the extruded faces go the way you want. They all go the same way
Great tutorial!! One thing though... for the slight variation in colours between the trees or rocks... why don't you try random colour? That way you won't have to create a new material every time!!
He might wanted to keep it simple. But i have seen tutorials which use random shades of green for lowpoly trees and such. Its awesome and i recommend it... But maybe, its easier for the beginning not to mess around too much with shaders(we had a little trouble with the water anyway)
I really appreciate the tutorial but just 2 things. You did some things without actually explaining how (shift + Z doesn't activate scaling unless you press S first, and you resized your cursor when leveling the ground without saying anything so if I didn't rewatch that part 10 times I would still not know why mine only moves one point while yours moved the blocks nearby as well.) All in all great tutorial, just hope this can maybe help future ones.
Awesome, sir really awesome. You all videos are awesome and I am a student of just 13 and watching your all tutorials regularly. And I am trying to do them on my computer,but........... I am having only Intel Pentium 4 without GPU but still than, whether it took 1 hour to render one frame. But still I love your creations.
Great video, but as i am a beginner i feel you are going to fast and arent explaining most things, i think if you just had a slower pace it would help a lot more.

Great tutorial. A small criticism however: I find the fact that you're using Cycles for the whole tutorial a bit distracting because of the constant re-rendering. You could stick to material preview for most of the tutorial (except the water shading)
I totally agree here. It's distracting, and to me puts unnecessary strain on your computer for no reason. Modeling in just material preview is just easier to look at for sure, and for newcomers to blender who DON'T have a super high end GPU, it won't cause them to have crazy lag while editing and wondering what's up when all they're doing is following a tutorial lol
I really liked the tutorial but i think when you call it beginner tutorial maybe consider showing the shortcuts (like shift + z or whatever) next time. Sometimes it's really hard to follow when you're that fast.
i agree, really wanted to follow the toturial but he went way to fast for me as a blender noob
