  • Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is a 2016 American superhero film featuring the DC Comics characters Batman and Superman. It is a follow-up to 2013's Man of Steel and the second installment in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU).[4] The film is directed by Zack Snyder, written by Chris Terrio and David S. Goyer, and features an ensemble cast that includes Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne, Jeremy Irons, Holly Hunter, and Gal Gadot. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is the first live-action film to feature Batman and Superman together, as well as the first live-action cinematic portrayal of Wonder Woman. In the film, criminal mastermind Lex Luthor manipulates Batman into a preemptive battle with Superman, whom Luthor is obsessed with.
    The film was announced at the 2013 San Diego Comic-Con after the release of Man of Steel. Snyder stated that the film would take inspiration from the Batman comic book series The Dark Knight Returns by Frank Miller but clarified that it would follow an original premise. The incarnation of Batman in the film is different from the character's previous portrayal in The Dark Knight Trilogy, serving as a cinematic reboot of the character. The film is also inspired by narrative elements from the "Death of Superman". Pre-production began at East Los Angeles College in October 2013, with principal photography starting in May 2014 in Detroit. Additional filming also took place in Illinois and New Mexico, concluding that December.
    #Batman_vs_Superman : Dawn of Justice premiered at the Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City on March 19, 2016, and was released in the United States on March 25, 2016, in 2D, Real D 3D, IMAX 3D, IMAX, 4DX, premium large formats, and 70 mm prints by Warner Bros. Pictures. Following a strong debut that set new box office records, the film experienced a historic drop in its second weekend and never recovered. Despite turning a profit, it was deemed a box office disappointment and received generally unfavorable reviews from critics for its tone, screenplay, and pacing, though some praised its visual style and acting performances. An extended cut dubbed the "Ultimate Edition", which features 31 minutes of additional footage, was released digitally on June 28, 2016, and on Blu-ray on July 19, 2016, to an improved critical reception. A sequel, Justice League, was released in November 2017.

      @@blazeswithwolvez7221 that’s a big ass excuse everyone uses. Every Live Action Batman has killed. Batfleck killed indirectly tbh. Keaton and Bale killed directly. So unless your favouring the other Batman’s who have killed them that is a loose statement you just made. The only Batman who stayed true to the no kill rule is Animated Series Batman, comics mainly, Arkham Batman as well, aside from when the player is playing as Batman and a few other Batmans and none of those are live action. So if you’re gonna trash on Batfleck about live action Batman portrayals then...oof..makes no sense

    • @batman6840
      @batman6840 3 года назад +69

      @Kordell Swoffer no, most of the complaints are the killing. Although now people actually want him so...clearly since the snydercut is coming and it has been voted out of 4 categories on who they’re most hyped to see of seeing Darkseid, Cyborg and flash, superman or Batman, people voted Batman.

    • @batman6840
      @batman6840 3 года назад +105

      @Kordell Swoffer Ras, and you can’t say he didn’t kill him. He could have saved him and chose not too. Indirectly killing is still killing. He basically killed all those people at the ninja temple when he set it on fire. He shot at the driver killing him and in doing so killing the driver. He bodychecked Harvey off a building. Do you want me to continue? I mean there isn’t much left but that’s already a fair amount.

      This is nothing like Arkham Batman. Arkham Batman does everything in his power to not kill. Batfleck blew up three trucks of goons, shot two, let two get blown up, and bashed one’s skull in with a crate. Arkham Batman would’ve used non-lethal rounds for the plane, would’ve only hit the guy with the crate, and not thrown it so forcefully as to kill him and leave a blood smear on the wall, he would’ve not even shot anyone, and he would’ve thrown the grenade outside to avoid anyone dying.

      I think there had to be a time in Batman’s timeline when he said ‘screw this no-killing’ and just went to town on everyone.
      Harvey Dent himself said ‘die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain.’
      While Batman isn’t a villain here, he’s definitely not ‘a good guy’. Even if - as some will argue - it’s what he signed up for, decades of fighting the same underbelly filth (AND getting at best grudging respect and admiration, like that mongoose you keep under the house for when the snakes slither by, to paraphrase Hannibal) takes its toll on a man that way.
      And Batman is, all said and done, a man.
