Hutch is a nobody. As an overlooked and underestimated father and husband, he takes life's indignities on the chin and never rocks the boat. But when his daughter loses her beloved kittycat bracelet in a robbery, Hutch hits a boiling point no one knew he had. What happens when a pushover finally pushes back? Hutch flips from regular dad to fearless fighter by taking his enemies on a wild ride of explosive revenge. The writer of John Wick showcases Emmy® winner Bob Odenkirk (Better Call Saul) as fans have never seen him before: an average family man who becomes a lethal vigilante unlike any ordinary action hero.

I love this fight scene, I love how the protagonist doesn't go unharmed from it and actually does get hit quite a lot, not like 90% of action movies where the hero takes down 20 guys with his bare fists and just goes out of the fight without any injury
I think you'd like the original Oldboy movie, brilliant action with lasting consequences and fatigue.
The American version completely missed all that and made the main character invincible.
@@SMthegamer1 That hallway fight with the hammer is a brutal classic. In case you have not watched the shows. I'd suggest you watch the hallway fight scenes from Daredevil seasons one and two, as well as the prison fight from Punisher. All three are amazingly well choreographed, especially the scenes from Daredevil feature an amazing camera work and all are definitely heavily inspired by Old Boy.
Sigh, and american remakes of asian or european movies usually are quite bad and usually completely miss the point. Also, the american audience seems to be somewhat different in what you can present to them and what not. I don't know if you have watched the french movie 'Le Grand Bleu' / 'The Big Blue', but they actually had to film a very different 'guy gets the woman and all are happy' ending, which completely changes tone and proposition of the whole movie. I admit it, I am a sucker for happy endings, but this was _bad._
90% Of action movies where the hero takes down 20 guys with his bare fists and gets away without injury? Other than Steven Seagall movies, that shit doesn't happen anymore. Well, maybe in feminist films. I haven't seen shit like that in male lead action movies in decades though. I actually didn't like how many punches to the face the protagonist took in this film. As an aspiring pro fighter, that always makes me cringe. It's pure brain damage. He'd have probably been out by the time 3:10 happened.
@@TheStraightestWhitest If it was 100% realistic he would've been shot to death by the thieves in the beginning of the movie
I was about to comment the same thing! Like, he’s definitely far more skilled than the average singular man would be in this situation, but it’s still believable because you see how him against multiple is a disadvantage and he does still get decently beaten up.
As an actual city bus driver, this was incredibly satisfying to watch.
🤣🤣
Bus lady shouldn't have open the door
Was it a documentary?
Some punks boarded a city bus and one of my sisters was on it. Then one of my brothers boarded. My brother stood up to the punks and everyone applauded. Buses long ago began to have undercover cops onboard because of troublemakers.
Do you open your doors on some drunk maniacs who just crashed their car right next to your bus? You're such a genius.
No overdone cuts, the hero ACTUALLY takes damage, and he saves a man from a fatal injury that he caused. Easily one of the best fight scenes ever made in cinema.

This was probably my favorite scene tbh. I love how its more realistic than most fight scenes in movies. Sure you can have training/experience in messing someone up BAD but you're more than likely not going to walk away without some battle scars

This is my favourite scence and the guys he killed in his house
@@crazypeopleoutthere Because those are all "olden day" action heroes. Most modern day fight scenes have the hero getting messed up at least a bit.
The first lesson you are taught in any serious, practical hand-to-hand combat training is that, "You WILL be hit and you WILL be hurt." It's why people say that 90% of fighting is mental: your morale/will to fight will usually break long before you're physically unable to continue fighting. That's the real dividing line between people who are trained to fight and people who aren't: the ability to push through the pain, keep on your feet, and keep fighting until the other guy runs away or won't get back up.
Thanks for being honest.
One of the best fight scenes ever. Because it's actually a fucking fight and he also gets fucked up. It's just he knows how to deal with it and how to avoid a stopping blow.
One of my favorite parts of this movie he didn’t not get hit a single time she got a few good hits on him but he still fucked those kids up
Shows a real fight instead of a fake one
But even in a real fight no one fights that slow.
Most satisfying fight scene.

I remember when my friends and I saw this movie we were disappointed when Hutch got thrown out of the bus thinking he lost and how it ended so anti-climacticly but when he limped and reboarded the bus we legit threw popcorn screaming. So hype

And that's when they knew they were fucking with the wrong guy

I love how realistic this all seems, if you tried to fight like 6 guys in a bus you may possibly "win" in a 1% of cases but you are still going to be fucked up at the end of it all.
I wouldn't mind, at least I would make sure, that they get fucked up as well and NEVER forget that night ...
You haven't been in a fight till you walk away with injuries.
You a fighter expert or something?
I love how they throw them out the window and they’re all just doing damage assessment. My nose is broken, oh shit I think I’m missing a bunch of teeth, then he limps back in and finishes them off. I think it’s funny that the whole time he was outside the bus somebody could’ve grabbed the gun and pick up a few bullets but they were so distracted by the pain
It's rather get fucked up ..than girl being harassed by such Evil men
There are so many parts of this I absolutely adore. One being at 4:00, the guy watching this guy pull a knife out of his side and you can see that 'oh god he's going to stab me.. UP I GET'. That and what everyone else is saying, the entire fight him getting just destroyed but loving every second of it.
This scene is absolutely amazing. You can see him working the rust off of his skills in this one scene. He takes hits, they hurt, but he keeps getting back up and his moves become more and more lethal until he finishes the fight.
yeah its like getting on a bike again for the first time after 30 years and the first ride is down a hill full of potholes and gravel :D
@@Juidodin Describing my home road, downward hill, many potholes and gravel, road my bike on that as a kid many times, oh how I fell
I think that's not the point. At first it's just a fist fight. Then the young guy pulls out a knife, so it makes sense for him to stop messing around. Later the young guy wants to shoot him, so he almost kills him in return. It's kind of ironic that the young guy mocks him at first, but he acts the most cowardly from all of them. Maybe that's the point.
Rust... naw... just warming up yo. I fucked those guys up!

As a healthcare professional, I like how Hutch gives the guy a tracheostomy at the end of the scene after smashing his trachea with the metal pole. Shows class and real concern for humanity even through all the violence. Good show Bob Odenkirk.
I was thinking that too. Wasn't he a ranger or marine corps commando type in the movie? Those guys surely learn to do stuff like that in training. I read somewhere that special ops medics even can do some actual surgery in the field. Using knifes like that presumably.

The best part about this scene is that this man is so lethal and bored with his life that he is savoring every second, every move, every struggle, and every pain he inflicted and received. This the kind of man punks and low lives don't want to run into when they are causing havoc.
