    I think what’s so great about his acting in this film is the fact that while he is creepy, he also comes off as comical. Strange but comically strange. But as you watch him, you start become more and more uncomfortable watching him before it becomes downright unsettling. I don’t think anyone could have pulled it off as well as Nicolas Cage did. Truly an amazing, Oscar-worthy performance

      @@ReadIcculus93 Agree but Poor Things is not horror and the Academy has some weird bias against horror movies this has always been the case no matter how ground breaking or incredible a horror movie has been they never nominate it since Nicolas is a "brand" name and already won an Oscar and has been in showbusiness for decades they might make him the exception and nominate him also the director Os Perkins is kind of a nepo baby himself so I would not be surprised if he gets nominated

    11:59 I LOVE his thoughts on horror and it being a platform for vast exploration. We see too many reviewers and commenters so rigidly proclaim this or that "isn't REAL HORROR", but horror is an artform and it's all subjective.

      @@Ladylibidex weirdest movie to appear in a long time and by weird I mean how divided it makes the viewers. Some say scary while some say not scary at all. I just came from watching a review where the 2 guys were making fun of how awful Cage's mask was in this movie and here you are saying it was amazing. personally have not seen it yet and just making observations on the division.

    Horror is definitely having a renaissance and I would not be surprised if Nicolas Is and Maika all get nominated for Oscars which would be progressive for the genre since horror always seems to be overlooked

    He did GREAT!!! I LOVED seeing him in a role like this, it definitely widened his scope & edge within acting. He has now redeemed himself in my eyes lol. This was VERY DIFFERENT for him. Hope he does more horror roles. Iconic and unexpected, it will probably be a point of recognition for him

    I have been a huge Nick Cage fan since raising Arizona and he has been in amazing films and mediocre films but he always brings it and elevated anything he is in.

    Everyone in the film put in great performances, Cage's especially but also Maika Monroe, Alicia Witt especially and even Blair Underwood all turned in great performances and Longlegs needs to get some recognition from the Academy Awards later because it's been about 10 years since I've seen a movie anywhere near this scary.

    Can't wait to see this film this Friday! I already sense I am really going to like the film, I don't know if I will love it (I hope I do) but I don't think I will be left disappointed, that I am positive about. The marketing for this film has been perfect, the trailers are amazing and from the first couple early reviews I can tell that this film is going to be something unforgettable, definitely will leave you thinking about it afterwards for sure.

    For some reason he reminds me of Dennis Hopper in this interview and right away it took me back to Apocalypse Now when he was explaining Colonel Kurtz character.😅
