The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent is truly Cage’s tour de force. He plays an exaggerated caricature of himself, and in doing so, reveals the real outrageousness of his life and the nuttiness of his imagined lifestyle. Very funny, and definitely worth the twelve bucks.

He really has his own charisma. He answer the questions effectively, and a little daddy joke. It's kind of hard to explain, but he really have his kind of character. I really love his movies, stay healthy mr. Nick , i can't wait to watch your next movies
have you watched the new one
This man is so respectful to his audience. He still doesn't feel full of self.
"What did Nicolas Cage steal in National Treasure?"
America’s heart❤🥰😆
Lol
Nick makes choices in his acting roles. Sometimes the movie isn’t good, but it’s always entertaining. I’d rather be entertained then like the movie. He’s simply awesome.
I can't honestly say I've seen one of his movies, good or bad, where he was just phoning it in. He brings it all to the table regardless of what's being served.
ok
Not the beeesssss!
That about sums up a majority of his 2010's movie run. Maybe not the best movies overall but Nic is always giving it his all.
I need to see an interview with Nic Cage and Jeff Goldblum. Two icons of a bygone golden age who still reek of charisma, talent, and mystery. Something about their speech patterns and cadence is oddly similar too.
This is so true. Love them both.
Well said! Extremely underrated comment
And Christopher Walken could join them partway through to make it even more interesting…
The way they both talk that interview would go for 3 days.
@@byrontalks7997 Pay-Per-Interview, Cage vs. Goldblum
The first half of the movie I was like "wtf is this? this is so cheesy" then all of a sudden it changed gears and became one of my favorites movies I have ever seen by the end.
The LSD scene had me wheezing what a great movie
definitely worth the watch for sure!!
Is it out now??
Definitely one of the greatest movies I've ever seen.
I love how genuine he is. As crazy as some of his roles make him seem, he's a very down to earth, modest guy with a buttload of talent.
He really is a national treasure

One of the most underrated action stars ever... Definitely a huge Nick Cage fan, and always will be.
Underrated?! Probably couse he did all the films they propose him without chosing best ones. I think there are just 2-3 movies he was good. Others.. OMG!
@@chazy10 You 🧠 n't?
@@chazy10 I love that ancient College Humor skit about it. Remember that? "Nicolas Cage's Agent" or something? _Classic_
Geez I miss seeing Nic Cage in interviews. He seems like a genuinely interesting and nice guy. Definitely one of the biggest actors of my childhood.
@J Men he had some wild Interviews back in the day lol.
I really like that Nicholas Cage is just rolling with the fact that people want to see more of him being exaggerated Cage. I would love to hear all his stories.
This is great to see Nicolas Cage outside of the movies. Definitely seems like a nice guy and fun to be around! Keep doing this segment with him, he’s great at it!!
He seems very honest. I’ve always liked him ever since Raising Arizona, a movie in a class all by itself.
Still gotta with that one
I love how he says anything with a straight face, absolutely everything.. I would watch 2 hours of him doing interviews like this.

Nicholas cage is the perfect combo of funny, chill, and cool. He’s definitely one of my fav actors or all time.
1st, He hates social media so much. I watched his answering questions undercover on social media on another channel it was so funny.

it is nice to see him warming up to the end. It gave me the impression he entered the interview like thinking it was to meme him again rather than to know him, you can see how in each answer he tries to simplify (being true to himself) the content. That is an intense dude who loves acting and a gift to us all.
❤❤❤❤
I'm glad people seem to really be coming around to Nic's sheer actual talent
-- Always liked him. He's been in some bad movies, sure. But he's been in some gems also.
Anyone who has ever seen Adaptation never lost faith in him.
I honestly don't think he's talented as an actor. I've always thought he was a terrible at that. He seems like a nice genuine guy, and can be entertaining, but as far as acting goes...I never thought he gave great performances. He always over-acted and made his characters seem odd and even slightly insane.
@@SlasherIncorporated odd and insane is good. Those are his best characters.
Can't imagine what it's taken for him to remain passionate and relevant after all these years, but I'm very glad to see it. Humility is rare
i like how he acknowledges the fact that people interpret his movies differently and wont answer some questions as to not ruin someone's perception of him and his movies.
You know what, I agree with him. I think he would be a great choice for Captain Nemo. I hope someone out there makes that happen.
Ooooh yes!

@@GunBlade79 Hey, bro, if 343 can make Captain Keyes black, Hollywood can make an Indian man white. Diversity, amiright?
@@GunBlade79 In the original Jules Verne's novel his nationality or ethnicity isn't specified. A later spinoff (also by Verne) retconned him to be the prince of Dakar. Therefore, Indian.
However, he could play a version of the character that is not Indian. It's not like he's playing a real-life figure. Fictional characters get race-swapped all the time.
Besides, the novel is long due for a modern-day adaptation and Nic Cage would be awesome in it.
'I think the answer you come up with is far better than any I could offer you'
The man actually UNDERSTANDS the concept of viewer imagination saving things better than rigid minute detail. There is a fine balance between being 'lazy' and hoping the audience suspends disbelief in order to create excuses, and knowing when you don't NEED there to be an explanation for something, because it doesn't have any real importance beyond that which the VIEWER injects onto it.
He seems like a genuinely polite, charming and well-mannered person. I also appreciated that he gave full, informed answers to these questions; made sure that the people wondering these things got their answer, instead of making a half-hearted joke that misses it completely. I mean, if they don't want to answer a question, of course that's their right to not answer that question, but they can just say that too, like he did with the Graceland question.
Anyway, nice guy.
I loved his "next movie" question. He said he's in Renfield, name-dropped the less famous and less-experienced actor, and stated that he is "supporting* Nicholas Holt. That's a classy move right there. He's a quirky dude, but I like his wavelength.
@@oscarx-ray3545 to be fair Hoult isn't exactly that much less famous than Cage (granted, Cage is pretty much legendary) and when he says he's supporting Hoult it just means Dracula's role in Renfield is that of a supporting character, as opposed to the main character, which is Renfield. Still pretty humble of him to present the fact as it is, though
"I'm not on any social media" - a true inspiration to the world

I just saw Massive Talent and it’s really funny, lighthearted and loved that he doesn’t take himself too seriously. The chemistry between Nicolas and Pedro Pascal is off the charts, any fan of Nicolas Cage is going to love this movie.
I saw it over the weekend. Really enjoyable. Any Nick Cage fan will love it.
Took my mom to see it for mother's day, we all had a great time. Good laughs and wholesome too
Great job! More actors need to learn how to say the words:"That's none of your business" Nicholas Cage is a rare mixture of intelligence, intrigue, humor and pure intimidation. He's like the zany, kooky neighbor we all have. Just get him to talk about something he's passionate about and you're smiling for days! 😆We love you Nic! ♥️
Nick is only 58 years old, that makes me happy, hope we have a lot more of his creativity to enjoy in the future.
Especially since in recent years he's been making a lot more movies I'm interested in. Pig was an absolute masterpiece.
That was 8 minutes with a huge smile on my face. Thanks for being you Nicky ❤

It's all in the eyes and the voice for him, kind of neat and different
For him it's acting for the rest of us the reason is life^^
So he's like Captain Holt?
One of the few authentic people who act. Anyone who makes art and defers to the viewer for meaning is a true artist. Anyone who goes out of their way to succeed or fail on their own terms has my respect. 👍🏻

Nicolas Cage is my favorite actor. I love the energy he brings to all his movies and you cannot help but smile when he does as his smile is contagious 😄
The guy is as interesting and odd as he is in most of his roles. He's pretty much never playing a character when he plays and eccentric, awkward but lovable odd man. What a legend, he just seems like a guy with very interesting views and tastes but not in a pretentious way, in a genuine way. He seems like he is always himself no matter what, which is a bit of an odd personality but that's probably why he plays odd personalities so well and memorably.

@@daddelpaj Simplest explanation without spoiling anything is that it's a movie about grief. It's very vague and subtle in its storytelling, it doesn't reveal much information but gives you enough to piece what has happened in the movie. A pretty sad, but incredible movie.
I recently read something where someone talked about saying "This movie/book is such a sad/happy/heartbreaking movie/book" is kind of a spoiler and I think they are correct.
