I'm really looking forward to creating more videos with my new camera and lenses! I've gone through and tweaked a lot of the settings now, so the second video out should be even better than the first! Interestingly, the last time I was down at this spot I filmed a lot of the b-roll on my S5 (ruclips.net/video/I3CgUjrwHLA/видео.html), so the image quality was obviously very good, but it did take more time and effort than this video to do.
Ooo nice! The G9 is such a good camera, and I must admit the G9 II is incredibly tempting...looks like my perfect video camera....if only it was a bit smaller. Now that I'm in the ecosystem, it may still tempt me some time down the track 😁
Looks like an excellent choice, Lisa. And sticking to the same brand as your "A" camera ought to mean the menu system is quite similar. Some of the M43 lenses are almost unbelievably compact. Sony has amended their own menu system, but I have to agree with you regarding Sonys (Sonies? Hmnn. Perhaps not.) in the past: I have an RX10IV and for years I tried to get its slow-motion video settings to work (I wanted to record an arrow leaving a bow), but couldn't get past the bizarre processes needed.
Yeah the G100 is fairly similar with the menus...not quite as fully customisable as the S5 but still fairly good. The colours also look very similar, so matching footage should hopefully be fairly easy. That's frustrating Sony made the slow motion functionality so difficult you've not used it, but it doesn't surprise me. I also find their user manuals basically useless...we've got a Sony tv and it seems to suffer from the same difficulties as the cameras I've used...just too much emphasis as a company on technology and not enough on usability I think, which is a shame.
You lost me at "sorry Sony users"....lol. Enjoy your new camera Lisa! Always exciting to have a new toy! Love the pan o at the end! Have a great weekend!
Hahaha! It's probably too many years using Canon cameras 😁 I'm looking forward to it getting used. Thanks Paul, hope you're having a great weekend too!
You surprised me Ms. Lisa, I had no clue you were switching to a "real" camera, micro 4/3 no less. Now you've got me wondering if I should take my little new to me Canon M50 Mk II along with me on my outings. But I got it strictly for talking head videos in my studio, not for photography. I can't wear flip-flops (is that what they're called where you are?) on a hike or even a short walk anywhere, they're very uncomfortable. But I noticed your pretty toes in those and wondered if you had walked a long or short distance wearing them. I'm expecting a major delivery any minute now, can you guess what it might be? 💺💺
Yeah I thought it was a bit out of left field, but it seems to me like a great balance of size and weight, image quality and flexibility. There are other reasons I decided to get it which will become clearer in a month or so. No it wasn't a very long walk - only about 10 mins. I grew up wearing them (we call them thongs...for the same reason you guys call a g-string a thong I guess...and which is why everyone else decided to call them flip-flops 😁) so can where them a fair bit, but wouldn't walk long or rough distances in them. Oooo new gear....how exciting!!
Fantastic! I do have a bit of drone envy with the Mini 4 Pro...the thing I'd been hoping they'd upgrade with the Mini 3 Pro was waypoints, and the new Active Track looks great too...have fun!
Oooh - it feels like Christmas when some new things arrive unexpectedly and you can go play. Great to just get out and be in the bush. Although I saw the thongs and thought - oh that's warm there then. . . .and where are the snakes . . .. . hahahahah. Bring on the vlogs!

Congrads Lisa
A good choice for a new camera it will interesting to see how your videos progress with the new camera
I will need to engage my brain a little more than with the GoPro, I think 🤣 Really looking forward to it though.
Congrats on your new gear, Lisa. That should be a lot of fun to use.
Thanks Terry, yes I think it will be!
What fun! Beautiful images and looking forward to seeing what more you come up with!
I'm so looking forward to using it more. Thanks Juanita!
Very good video, glad to see your feeling well.Good luck with the new gear.
Thanks so much, yes I am feeling much better and over the concussion now (was still a bit shabby during the previous video I realise now 😁)
Great stuff, Lisa! Congrats! HooRoo!
Thanks so much Jon!
Congrats on your new camera! Hope to see some great footage. Amazing images btw 🎉
I'm particularly looking forward to using the long lens. Thank you so much 🙏
New gear is always fun. The GoPro has its place but they really haven’t really kept pace with all the advancements in video and audio.
Yes it is! 😁 I agree - an action camera is still useful, just not to rely solely on. Thanks Sophie!
Well done Lisa! I’m a Lumix lover as well, getting to grips with the amazing G9 mk1 and keeping the GH3 cos it fits in my day bag nicely👏👏✌️

I have always thought your videos looked great. With this new camera, I'm sure they will be amazing. Cheers from the USA. 🙂
Thanks so much Jay, I'm really looking forward to putting it to good use! 🙏
Great to see anther lumix user 📸👍
I love my lumix cameras!
Your coming a tech wizard. Is the drone, or can you link drone and camera together.
Look forward to seeing your next video, with your new gear.
No, can't link the drone and camera unfortunately. I'm looking forward to getting out there with these new lenses too...thanks Roy!

@@LisaFrostPhotoI didn't wear them much as a kid, it was regular old tennis shoes for me. The new gear is a DJI Mini 4 Pro Fly More Combo!

@@LisaFrostPhoto It's a huge upgrade from the Mini 2 and the learning curve is a little steep for an old guy like me!

Yes, new gear is so fun! I feel like all I've done this month is spend money, but it's all for a good cause 🤣
@@LisaFrostPhoto hahaha. Good for you. Time to enjoy the possibilities.
It does look very dinky. Does a good job too, by the look of it.
Hahaha...it's so small my S5 feels like a tank now 🤣 Yes I think it does a great job for the size.
Nicely done! I am a professional artist and I share my paintings here. Cheers on a Sunday!
Thanks so much!
Welcome!
