HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 13 сен 2024
- This is a full playthrough of Mike Tyson's Punch-Out from beginning to end! Many hours of practice went into learning the strategy for each boxer before recording this playthrough! I took several breaks while playing, this is edited together so you can see the full game.

Little "Mike" vs Tyson and the winner is .....
Beating this straight from start to finish without losing is no joke, props to you Mike.
Beating 700+ NES games I think has a little more weight to it aha, congrats on that, but yeah this is still impressive
Hey it's the lord of NES himself TMR!
TMR!!! Good to see ya! Congrats on beating the entire NES library!
If you memorize the patterns, the game isn't difficult up until Tyson.
Thanks :D
Don Flamenco actually looks like Prince Charles.
I thought he looked kind of like Dom Irrera.
I was thinking the same thing, that he looks like Prince Charles.
BlueIcesevensix I always thought Don Knox
Gerard Depardeux
I always thought he looked like George Lazenby, or now maybe Steve Carrell
I lost to glass Joe... I lost... to glass Joe.
MrPatalchu haha nerd reference
so did Mike Tyson
Using the power glove I hope lol
...
So did Nick Bruiser ☺️.
It's really amazing how well this game holds up.
They should bring Tyson back in a new Punch-Out.
Congrats on beating one of the best & toughest games on NES.
I very much doubt Nintendo would affiliate itself with a convicted rapist.
Ali was greater than Mike, but Ali was not a big puncher. If they put Ali in Punch Out, they would have to make him super quick, super illusive, and super trash talker.
Some people think Ali was bigger than life or something like that, but his personality when it came to boxing was shit. He didn't just trash talk, he mocked, insulted and belittled his opponents. No sportsmanship.
Mr. Sandman gains a look similar to Mike Tyson in Punch-Out!! Wii, and he's just as brutal.
Zealot D3 i know capcom in the usa didn't since they change balrog in street fighter 2 from m.bison in the japan version to like i said balrog in the usa version of the game
"All the best boxer come from Philly " names two that are fictional.
Rocky balboa
Appolo Creed
@@balzac00 Apollo Creed was from Los Angelas. Also I think I meant to name two that aren't fictional but I don't remember what my joke was supposed to be :)
@@TheAtkey Mr.Sandman is from Philly
I've forgotten names, birthdays, and phone numbers over the years. But I'll never forget the password to fight Mike Tyson on Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!!
Same. 😂
This was one of the best games until I discovered THPS3 on PS3 and those up-down-X-O-X-R1-R1 like codes swim in my head at times...Diablo 2 LOD was also like Punch Out with the obsessions with cow world.
This is one of those videos whose sole purpose is to make the game look so much easier than it actually is.
Props to you.
Best. Intro. Ever.
I always thought Don looked like Adam sandler
I really loved the facial expressions and body language of the boxers in this game. I still wonder how I beat it as a kid. Man, I don't have this patience and reflexes anymore.
Don Flamenco looks a lot like Roy Scheider from Jaws.
Don Flamenco looks like John Turturro.
TMM exactly who I was thinking of too!
TMM same here thats who i would get to play the part
Good call but I was thinking more like... Adrien Brody???
bang on
David Battley
Sick intro Mike! Great detail and homage to the old splash screens.
don flamenco = adam sandler lol
Holy shit he actually does look like him.
I thought i was the only one😂
Man some of these NES games hold up so well. The design was perfect.
I always thought piston Honda looked like Muhammad Ali
He always make me think of George Takei with those crazy eyebrows for some reason.
Mr.Snadman look better like Ali
I couldn't stop laughing after Tyson's 3rd uppercut in the beginning. I know that feeling the 3rd uppercut is random and so fast. That was a hilarious reaction
Nice playthrough, The Nerdy Mike vs. The Iron Mike =)
I can beat this game rather easily as well, only who gives me trouble sometimes is MIke Tyson.
Also I didn´t know that strat to Soda Popinsky.
Mike vs. Mike
Mike wins
PUNCH OUT would be so ideal for the V.R headset we have now.Except that it should have an updated line up of the recent who's who of Boxing mixed in with the classic characters as well as film characters (like how 'bout going a few rounds with Rocky Balboa, huh??) or even Boxers from tv shows like Drederick Tatum from The Simpsons??
Sammy Lane there is a v.r game like punch out I don't know the name but sure you find it
Punchout will ALWAYS be the best boxing/sports game ever. It's just so good. It has iconic music, iconic characters, iconic gameplay, a lot of detail in the audience... nothing will ever top this game. I even got it on my 2DS, it may have been $10-15.
Damn, that was clean as hell, even with Tyson. Good job.
That was the hardest ass whooping of Piston Honda that I've ever seen! Dude made it look easy.
Do a playthrough of Rocky on the master system pls
that was a game out of the category hard to finish
Mike, I noticed something interesting about all these contenders Little Mac fought in this game. The game characters are different from the arcade version. You fight Bald Bull much earlier than on the NES version. Glass Joe has a much harder, faster version of himself called Kid Quick. Piston Honda in the arcade game wasn't Japanese but instead he was a Cuban immigrant called Piston Hurricane. Before Don Flamenco the arcade progenitor was an Italian named Pizza Pasta. But later in the arcade game there was another fighter like Piston Honda from Hong Kong, Dragon Chan. Soda Poppinski was originally known as "Vodka Drunkenski!" Mr. Sandman was the toughest fighter in this entire arcade game package.
Don flamenco= adrien Brody
When you fight Piston Honda for the second time, you will notice a guy in the crowd giving a cue to throw the knock out punch to the gut at the 2:00 minute mark in the round. If you go to 11:10 mark in this video, you will see in the front row towards the leftish side of the ring, a bearded guy nodding his head like he's giving you the ok to throw the knock out punch. Check it out it's really interesting!!! :)
Adam Sandler
I read the comments just to see if anyone else thought so lol. I can't decide who's on the more unflattering side of that comparison.
nailed it
Came here to say this.
Yep was looking for this comment haha
Are you saying this because of Don Flamenco? Or something else?
Great play through Mike. Will your live stream of Mario 3 from yesterday be out up?
*put up
Have you done Punch-Out on Wii? You should play it with James
"If you don't know that, it can be tough" No, it's IMPOSSIBLE to beat King Hippo otherwise. Luckily your corner man tells you what to do.
I remember a few years ago playing this all the way through without getting knocked out once. It's actually a pretty easy game with practice.
it's not easy... It's called you practiced and learned the patterns...
One of the best games ever. Kept me up plenty of nights as a kid
Now do Super Punch Out!
This
No losses, and done in one sitting. All fights in one round except for Tyson. Real impressive, Mike.
Great game on the NES. Challenging but fun. Always enjoy these play through games Cinnemassacre. Keep it up
Great video! Although you don't show it, I always thought the music at the beginning of Mike Tyson's Punch Out was funny. If the song had words, it would go:
Mike Tyson is waiting for your challenge now... Let's go!
"Iron" Mike Matei lol
The world needs Mike Matei's Punch Out!
LOOKS LIKE ANTONIO BANDERES! what do you think MIKE??
17:44 All the best boxers come from there.
-Mike
Only names two fictional boxers hahahahaha
Mike is the best
I might never be able to prove it, but, I hold the record for quickest time for defeating Gabby Jay in Super Punch Out. 2 witnesses, one surviving.
Hey Mike, anyone ever tell you,you look just like Little Mac from this game??Well you kinda do,haha!!Why not be him for this years Halloween??
One of my proudest moments in my gaming life was taking Super Macho out in RD 1 in Mike Tysons Punch Out!!
Love these playthroughs Mike, when are you livestreming again?
My dad bought a Nintendo back in the days, think i was like 4-5. We had Punch out, ice climber, mario, ice hockey and hangon. Guess that shaped my whole life from that day :)
Don flamenco looks like Sacha baron Cohen
or a bit like roy scheider
I never got past Soda Popinsky. You're a lifesaver, man :D
Damn straight
He didn't even get hit til Bull. Wow.
It's a pretty easy game if you know the patterns.
TheFettuck yeah, it's really a puzzle game, not a boxing game.
Trevin Taylor By you calling it a puzzle game you made me hate punch out
NitroBoost sorry. that's what it is. It's well disguised, but it's a puzzle game. didnt mean to ruin it.
Duude the dopamine rushing through my head from the nostalgia.
This game is timeless fun
He never even mentioned how funny it is to let King Hippo win. As a kid I would give him the occasional win just to get a good laugh!
The game is so much easier on a old crt tv. It's nearly impossible on new hd tv because of the delay. If you don't have a crt tv you won't beat it.
There are panels with good input lag, but yeah, that's crucial to old school gaming.
John Witsofire that's what the framemeister is for. It eliminates the lag input on newer sets when you hook up a console meant for crt
I started playing it on an hd tv, it's not really that bad once you get used to the input lag being a certain way. If you switch back and forth, then it becomes a problem
Using the sound as cues helps a lot.
@Cinemassacre what are you playing this on? Nes Mini? HDNES?
Where's AVGN???
He has a kid now?
Notice how all of the boxers have camel toes except for Soda Popinski and Super Macho Man? One thing those two have in common is, when they get knocked down, you can see a wet spot. Looks like they used the same body but colored them differently.
I always thought Don Flamenco looked like Jim Varney. R.I.P.
Ernest forever :D
16:58 Actor. Kevin Spacey. :)
I've never seen such a display of genuine power.
I watch you play so many games Mike, but the way you own this game is something else.
King Hippo was so difficult when I was a kid. Because he is scary as hell, and especially for a kid, YOUR INSTINCT IS TO ESCAPE THE BIG PUNCH, not attacking it. That just felt WAY too risky, you could get hurt!! hahaha
Mike, you are truly the best at this game. I've been watching your playthroughs for a long time. I hope you notice this comment. You are a great gamer. I've never seen anyone beat Tyson so quick. Love you bro' keep up the fantastic content!
Oh my god... finally a real pro with this game! Pretty cool, every time I fight Mr. Dream (yeah, I got the virtual console edition), my hands are sweating, and beat him after 3 tries if I'm lucky, or 10+ tries if I'm terrified becaus who knows why. I play on 3DS.
YOU ARE A GOD AMONG MEN. i've never seen anyone beat Tyson
MIKE ' 12 inch" MATEI vs The stereotype boxing association
This channel shoud be called Mike.
A younger, clean shaven John Turturro is Don Flameco's double. "Nobody fucks with the Jesus."
I'm currently playing this game without looking at any guide and it feels GREAT when you figure out by yourself how to defeat an opponent. I'm actually stuck at Super Macho Man. The day I beat Tyson (Mr. Dream in my case) is going to be one of the greatest days ever in my gaming life.
I totally agree with you when you say this is one of the best nes games. Great job on beating Mike Tyson's Punch Out.
Given how fast the New York skyline is passing in the training montage, the main character must be running at forty miles an hour.
Still have to work on beating it sometime. Thanks for the tips, Mike!
One of my favorite childhood games. Good job beating Tyson so quickly in the second round Mike!
My favorite boxing saying is "He went down faster than a French prize fighter". Cracks me up.
Edit: Mike reminds me of a friend I have. He cusses all the time. To the point I won't have him around my family, and I won't invite him to things where I know people. Anyone can cuss. It's not a special skill.
Joey M You avoid having a "friend" around because he swears? Bizarre, take it down a notch and relax.
06:15 One could also say it's a rhythm game - move the controls at the right time to the boss' pattern and win, spam and lose
This game haunted my childhood forever, and you beat it like you didn't even have to try...
I have played this game on and off for over 20 years and I still havent beaten Super Macho Man or Tyson. And Mike does it without getting Ko'd even once!
This is actually really cool, because most people (myself included) hardly ever play through the ENTIRE game, start-to-finish anymore.
I've only sat and done it maybe once or twice at most, so I salute you, Mike.
You should give a playthrough to KickMaster. It's one of those hidden gems of the NES, I've always enjoyed the hell out of it. Not the hardest game in the world, but definitely fun.
Kind of - if you enjoyed Holy Diver, you'll enjoy KickMaster. (Again, though - it's definitely easier than Holy Diver.)
Edit: Also, I think he (Don Flamenco) looks like Dean Martin.
I find Soda Popinski to be the funkiest character in the entire game, due to the hue of his skin and sidewinder-like fighting style.
Where Macho Man does his 5 power punches in a row at 20:52 is when I lost.
I think the name of the actor you were trying to remember was Rowan Atkinson (who played Mr Bean) for Don Flamenco
Smokin' Joe Frazier = Philadelphia!
The original NES version was released in the form of a golden cartridge in Japan, exclusively to second place winners of the Famicom Golf U.S. Course Tournament. It lacked Mike Tyson, and instead, Super Macho Man was the final opponent.
Mike's play throughs have become my favorite part of Cinemassacre!
A new secret was discovered only within the last year. It regards the Piston Honda fight on the WC. At that 2-minute mark you brought up for delivering the KO blow, the guy in the audience with the beard (located left-of center screen) signals you to punch. Watch him again at the 11:10 mark right before you knock Honda out.
Thanks mike for playing this game gem of 1987.
wow! ill give you props mike. i dont think ive ever seen anyone dominate punch out like that! i was especially surprised by how fast you beat honda and tiger! i can never get passed them without them doing their special at least once. good video.
Al Pacino starring as Don Flamenco! He's already a "Don" in The Godfather movies.
22:45
As a kid I had more a problem with Macho Man than Tyson. It took me 10 years to beat him. I think I was somewhere in college when I finally did it. It seems easy now cuz you can watch speedrunners who know all the ins and outs, but back in the day it was you and that's it.
Guys, Don Flamenco is supposed to look like Al Pacino's character from SCARFACE! The movie came out only a couple years before this game. I always think of Tony Montana when I see Don Flamenco for sure. Anyone? Eh?
Mike Matei's longplay is the best.
Mike Matei vs Mike Tyson: The ultimate battle of the Mikes. Who will triumph?
where did all the hearts for the great tiger fight come from. u went from 6 to 77.
The actor that Don Flamenco looks like is Pete Postlethwaite who played Mr. Kobayashi in The Usual Suspects.
The sound of the opponents uppercuts is the same as when having a random encounter in Zelda II. I want you to know this.
What's up man. Love the video. So, Don Flamenco always reminded me of that guy in Scarface.
There's a trick to Mr. Sandman. After you dodge a punch, punch him once in the face and 3x in the belly.
One of few NES games that I just can't seem to be able to finish. Tyson destroys me every single time.
What setup are you using? Those are some awesome colors. Usually they're all kinds of muted.
This game just got turned into "Mike Matei's Punch-Out!!"
