Love the torpedo volley on the Akira forward launcher. Imagine if she was equipped with quantum torpedoes.
I imagine it eventually was, it's far too good a torpedo platform to not make use of quantums

With the front Salvo and side launchers, more like horrified.
I love the sound of the Akira's forward photon volley. Makes me think of the Battle of Sector 001. 😊
Very impressive that the Akira Class is immune to the Breen drain weapon. Not surprised they took out 2 Defiant class starships.
Their evenly Matched in Canon Defiant faster more Phaser Power Ablative hull armour more manoeuvrable Akira Class has more Torpedo launchers 17 direct pulce Fire, as for Quantum torpedoes they were available in Standard MK2 and type 6 the Akira Class definitely had Quantum torpedoes.
The torpedoes on WC’s Akira track very well, great battle.

I was playing Star Trek armada 1 a few months back as the Borg and assimilated an Akira name U.S.S Stalingrad. That made my day.

Good battle. Interesting tactics by the AI. They maintained stand-off distance to evade torpedoes. Normally it would probably work, but not against these which track very well. However, once they determined that the torpedoes were too smart to evade, their best bet should have been to get in close with dive and zoom tactics on the Akira's dorsal and ventral aspects to avoid the overlapping torpedo envelopes.
The torpedoe volley is exactly like first contact. Love both ships. Like I said. Love to see it upgraded with quantums and ablative armor. Hope all is well retro 🖖
I think the Akria spams torpedos a little too quickly and the Defiant's armor is OP. But this Akira mod is really nice overall !!

Honestly I love the akira class (since my fav starships are the nx-01 (a redesign of the akira) and the kelvin) not surprising how strong they are, considering they are a class of borg killers, which is a HORRIFYING thought if you’re fighting the federation.
I love the Akira class. It’s one of my favorite designs and I love how powerful it is.
Then again, I’m also a huge NX class fan. I wonder if there is a connection there?

The Akira torps are awesome!
Both are capable of relentless salvos of powerful weapons but considering the Defiant had trouble with an admittedly heavily upgraded Excelsior class, I think it would have trouble with the Akira. The Defiant is encased in ablative armor, however the Akira does have ablative armor around critical areas. The Defiant requires it to face it's enemy head on to unleash it's most destructive weapons, while the Akira can fire a massive salvo and take evasive action while the photons track. In CQB however the Defiant would have the clear advantage, the ship is a brawler, the Akira is a ranged fighter. There's a reason Starfleet figured an Akira and 2 Defiants would be more than enough to deal with 3 D'Deridex class Warbirds and the Prometheus.
Makes sense that it isnt effected by the drain weapon, they did adapt to it in the later dominion war

An Akira with two Defiants class ships makes for a mean strikeforce.
First it was Yorktown-class against Romulans and now Akira against Breen.

akira class have quantum, at least there is the mod with quantum torpedoes on bridge commander
I can't remember what gave the Federation immunity to the Breen drain weapon. I watched that DS9 episode a few weeks ago and it had to do with a Klingon chief engineer doing a crazy modification to their engines and for "some reason" it made them immune. (Hey, I didn't write this 😆).
After researching that modification, it was added to all Federation vessels.
A lucky break for the Federation. The war would have ended in weeks If they hadn't found a fix 🖖
Oh definitely, that drain weapon was a nightmare 😀. I remember seeing that episode for the first time thinking... oh crap! Game over, man, game over!

.... braindead AI. Might just as well have gunned down stationary targets.
2 human controlled Defiants would have just used their agility to evade some attacks when you target one while the other would have hammered at you - switching this around until you popped.
Also the fire rate of the pulse phasers is too low.
The Akira is a good ship and I can picture it defeating ONE Defiant. But not two. So: bs vid, as is most often the case.
