- I'm super happy to bring these to you. I don't know how Weiser did it but they did. I think it's Wizardry. Maybe that's why they've called them 'Weiser Wizards'. They basically re-sequence the indicators on all BMW bikes that have the multi-fuctional turn signals. It's plug and play too. Amazing!

Great video! Truly a game changer and well worth the cost. With drivers constantly being distracted , being seen is paramount. Personally ,I have my rear tail light on the brightest setting and strobe. Good work. Best!
I replaced the indicators completely with Weiser lights and it made a huge difference in visibility, especially with the Denali brake light and the Denali D4's. It wasn't that easy of an install, but it was worth it.
I’ve got multi function lights on the rear of my Triumph. They’re a factory option. Loads of mates riding behind have said they can’t see my indicators whilst I’m braking. Hope this product becomes available for Triumph👍👍
Get a set of Denali T3 pods, they work a treat and you can splice into current woring meaning that you have extra light at the back. Standard functionality is fantastic on them Speak to Steve, he supplies them.
I’m absolutely with you regarding the daft decision BMW has made with the indicators/lights. The solution you offer is excellent 👍
I have the Weiser Extreme Evo lights front and rear, (fitted by Tom at A Bike Thing), absolutely love them, makes you so much more visible on the road, the new Wizard dongles are a great safety feature but the Extreme Evo’s are phenomenal 😎🏍️
Great product. I have full fat Weiser , which I agree are the optimum option 👍🏼
Why the Heck should we be doing this our bikes? Why is there not a Class Action Law Suit against BMW and this issue.. ??? They need to fix it instead of us forking out more money on something that was fine before 2021..
Just my 2c
U have a point
I agree.
Excellent. I love this whole thing. I just bought a set of Weiser lights for my 2022 GS. SO what to do. I do have the B6 on the back with an EZ Can. I am almost there. Thanks for the great video.
That trailer is awesome. Wow.
Great video Steve. Another great product you are highlighting. The OEM lights on the new bikes are terrible. I like your bike trailer.
Really detailed video Steve , glad you are doing what clearly BMW need to. Bizarre thing is i have a pre change GSA and other than indicators in static mode being a run light, the mods people have to now pay for are actually only getting the bikes back to what they originally were. When they launched Madness!
Interesting to see whether the new R1300 doesn’t go back as standard to how it always was
I know for a fact they have gone back to how they used to be.
Bought the rear light and it’s brilliant
Nice way to be safe and stock, especially in countries where aftermarket lights are a beacon for the police..
This is a brilliant product which shouldn't be necessary and I am sure Weiser will sell heaps of them BUT when you consider that the parts involved would not cost a huge amount this almost looks like price gouging. Yes, it costs money to develop a product like this but I think Weiser is taking advantage of its uniqueness to charge way more than it should be. I would fit these in a flash if they were a more reasonable price but here in Australia it would cost me AU$613 to fit them! For a small bunch of transistors....Remarkably, if I purchased a full Weiser front and rear kit with replacement indicators it would only cost an extra AU$86 which only serves to show just how much is being charged for the "small bunch of transistors"....
I’m in lots of dollars club too but the R&D time has to be in the hundreds of thousands including the CAN analyser software
Blame bmw not weiser. It’s bmw who don’t do it properly and won’t do a software change, or even do a change if the customer wanted it.
Do you understand how much R&D costs have to be offset? Or that ordering discrete parts don't reflect *manufacturing* cost? Or do you consider there is basically *no* benefit of scale economy in our niche motorcycle world?
This is not to mention that these are *critical* safety components which if they fail out on a trip the operator has limited/zero interventions that would be possible.
One of the worst takes on a product pricing..
@@useless274 and yet for GBP230 I can buy a Hex GS911 and activate some of the same functions as the Weiser products, and do so much more. I guess Hex's R&D costs must be cheaper.....
I’ve got the 2021 s1000xr and the standard rear lights are very dangerous and I’ve nearly been rear ended loads of times, I treated the bike to the rear weiser lights and the b6 at the ABR and it solved the problem.
I've had three s1000xr repkace it after 20k miles which is my yearly millage...62k miles never nearly been rear ended once.... you must be very unlucky
Nice upgrade, but it would have been better if they made the centre brake light to initially strobe as an option for GS's if it can be done! Hopefully V2🤞
Plug and play for the win!
Watch Karl @ Just the way it is. He’s done similar, he lives in Germany. German TUV will only allow 1 or 2 rear reds. Hence why the GS brake been disconnected. Even though his local tuv (mot) station testers think the German law re rear reds is crazy
Or buy Barkbusters Storm with DRL and Indicator Extensions.
Yes, having these on a Rocket X, not only, and it looks greater. Visibility guaranteed.
I don’t think my 2023 GSA (US based bike) has the multi function capability like bikes in other parts of the world. Our DOT laws here are a bit antiquated. I’d love the functionality though.
Very nice, I might have to wait until you sell just the rear indicator unit as I already bought the tail light unit from you at ABR. 👍🏻👍🏻 will wait out for a price. Paul
Buy the S series kit. It’s the same but no tail light dongle
I have the full fat Weisers already and they are a great product but not exactly plug and play like these. It’s Crazy that BMW are happy to sell the
Bikes with sub standard and unsafe lights and that EU/TUV standards pass them. The US DOT refused to pass them so US bikes still have the simpler and brighter pre 21 indicators. Rear light deleting across the range has got to be down to the accounts penny pinching IMO.
Do they make a set for the North American GS/GSA? Our rear lights only have the 2 wire system, not the 4 wire system like the rest of the world.
Great video. Yea bmw is good at charging
Hi, great News. But is this rear dongle street legal in Europe, specially Germany? The rear Position Lights & Brake Lights have been specified in that homologation law in 2018. Is there a Revision releases?
And BMW could literally fix the issue with a software update. Or third-party with custom coding which is becoming very popular.
Really like the plug n play simplicity of this product line. As I drive a K1600 GTL, does Weiser Wizards have a line for my model? I’ll go search your site but like what this company does
K1600 has a completely different rear light cluster.
@@ABIKETHING I know. That’s why I asked if the company had a line of products for my bike. Appreciate the response.
Great product is there a version for Honda front turn signals??????
Hello my friend, did I see you in Australia lately at Uluru in August?
I'm in the USA, like @That_Paul_Guy, and have a '21 GSA. My indicators do not have the multi-function capability. When the front and rear signals go from running lights to turn signals, the running lights go off and it's just the flashing signal. Also, my rear taillight is activated all the time, not just when the brake is applied. I'd be interested to know if anyone in the US, who has a US purchased bike, has the multi-function capability and the taillight not operating full-time?
I just received my 2023 BMW S 1000 XR in the USA. The rear blinkers are only red, running light and only Flash. No orange inserts they must’ve got the message.
Although you don’t have any amber at all but i know the USA drivers and riders like that.
27.54mins in I notice you’ve got a MetPol SEG bike in your studio…. On loan for light fitment ???
We’re doing some work for them.
I just don’t see this as that large a problem and then the price is astronomical on top. If you bike cost 13k these can be more or less 5% of the total cost! That’s crazy
It’s a safety thing. It’s a solution that shouldn’t even be required but the chaps at weiser figured it out. From my perspective as a person who listens to the masses with their multifunction indicators….it’s a huge issue that’s been addressed.
@@ABIKETHING Agreed. One of my friends has a 2021 GS and another lad has a 2016 GS and when riding behind both of them you really see the problem. This is a fantastic product and will make a huge improvement to visability.
Not just BMW bikes, I've seen new cars using these integrated lights , really tricky to see if someone is turning with the brakes on- stupid idea!. I mean since forever, the brake light has always been brighter than the other lights.
Agreed but these wizards will only work on the select BMW’s I’m mentioning
It’s great but here in the USA my ‘23 GS has led turn signals in the rear only as the traditional brake light is sole operator. Is a solution plug and play or wire stripping involved.
And no... GS911 tool can do this for you! Just a heads up for people wanting to save money (providing you already have GS911 of course haha)
Hmm 🤔 who is this? This video was made before the GS911 was able to do this but even now at the time you’re making this comment, it’s only possible on the front DRLs. Hex are still working on the rears. It’s not common knowledge either which makes me ask who u r?
@@ABIKETHING It isn't meant as an attack or anything along those lines at all Hahah. Alot of people don't appear to know about it... So I'm making it common knowledge and spreading the word amongst the GS crew hoping to help/save people some money (providing they have the 911 already of course) 👍🏻.
@@FIREFIREBLADE yes I’m with you on this. I’m a Hex distributor and make more margin on the GS911 than Weisers. I will be making a video on the 911 soon but we’re still swatting up on what’s possible with the new firmware and the rear turns still won’t do what the weiser wizards do.
@@ABIKETHING no doubt you're a beta tester for them. Pulled my weisers off after the last softwarey bit. Not had any issues so far, but obviously appreciate it's all in beta. Happy new year and keep on with the vids.
They make quality watching.
does this work on a USA bike, plz let me know I want to order soon. Thanks again........
I’m afraid not. You only have red at the back don’t you.
Hi, just a question, the Honda Transalp also runs with solid front amber indicators, until they blink for indication, are you aware if Weiser offers a similar solution for the Honda?
Do you do them for Honda Nt1100 or Africa twin
Good Evening Steve, do you know if my D7s need to be covered for Germany or Switzerland? They only illuminate when on full beam but it’s just something you mentioned a while ago in a video about Austria. Thanks Jay
I live in The Netherlands and Have. place in Austria and ride over all the time.. Nobody cares about your D7s mate.. Don't worry... If it was a German/Austrian bike the D7 or other lights would have to have the European CE mark or they will not pass the TUF or MOT for over here. Ride on and have fun..
I’ve been riding in Germany yesterday and today and I haven’t covered mine
@@Mckhuus Thanks much appreciated, I leave tomorrow for the Black Forest.👍
@@ABIKETHING thanks, see you in the mountains 😁
Where you can buy these products in the European community.
I’m pretty sure I’m your nearest location.
@@ABIKETHING I live in Italy, but any country within the European community is fine.
What about no brake lights if equipment on S models if hazards on??
That’s why we’re marking the ezcan and brake light as a viable option although you shouldn’t be riding with your hazard lights on
Is it possible to instal this option on GSA 2015 ?🤔
Not the wizards no. You don’t even need them as the issue is only on the 2021 bikes onwards
The Weiser indicators look cheap and too large.
Having any light emitting from the other indicator than the one that's flashing is BAD/RUBBISH/NOT GOOD.
NO! When you brake with the multifunction and dongle it isn't much clearer as the other indicator is emitting light!
Good sales pitch, but rubbish product.
Fantastic improvement, why oh why has BMW gone with this ridiculous setup, and the front is just as bad!!!! they should be ashamed of themselves, enough of us are injured and killed because of other road users "Oh I thought that you were turning"
Wo kann ich das Set in Deutschland kaufen
You buy them from us here in Uk without any Uk tax and then we ship to Germany and then your country applied your German taxes.
Does this work with 2022 G310gs by any chance?
We haven’t tried it
On the S models, if you don’t have a extra brake light and you have hazards on then there’s no braking lights??
Correct but you shouldnt be riding with hazards activated
Ahh..many use hazards while moving to warn of stopped traffic, and you need a brake light moto work if hazards are activated.
@@ABIKETHINGif I see traffic ahead coming to emergency stop I put hazards on, with no brake light working that’s dangerous.
@@ABIKETHINGor if your bike goes limp mode, your in fast lane, trying to get hard shoulder and you put hazards on, with no brake light this is also dangerous.
contact set
Could this be used to retrofit the newer style indicators on a 2019 GSA?
No
Can they do the weiser front running white lights and indicators with just a dongle ?
No, there is not white led in the factory turn signal
I know this but weiser do the front white/running light indicators as part of the bigger full kit . But if they made them as per the amber DRL you can just replace the front ones with the Weiser and modified dongles that allow daylight running + saving having to do the full wiring ..just a thought
@@gerryryan2302I think that the electronics that makes what you describe ‘happen’, is on the circuit board in the replacement indicator.
take my money bro, send it to USA
On the leaked photos of the 1300 gs the indicators seems turned off when the bike is on have you noticed that?
Yes on the front which shows the front dongles we do will only be effective on 21 to 23 models
480 quid? 😂
