    We all know you want to get your max as high as possible in the safest way possible. Or you want to break records at your local gym, or possibly your an athlete who needs to put in work in the offseason to make the changes necessary to be the best player you can be for you or your team! This is where getting the methods down will be the difference maker, okay so you've watched a few youtube videos of mine or on the methods...but how to you implement them into your workouts? This is where the lifting rubber meets the road, or squat rack, or bench press. You need to know how much to push for longevity rather than fast results that will hurting your bottom line.
    Let's take a look at the Bulgarian Lifting System for just one second. Okay, so it's at-least a third more intense, with more core lifting days and less recovery time in-between heavy days. Now let us look at the time you have to be lifting. Most people who use this system only have about four great years of competition. Now for those four years you are going to see great leaps and bounds, but what happens after you hit your peak at the age of 22, or 26 once you've started to take this system into the fold? Well you're out of luck. This is the problem with feast or famine methods of lifting, you max your body to the point of failure without building a great foundation of strength. Look at any lifters you know who have been in the game as long as Matt, first off there are not that many besides some of the greats like Mike O'Hearn, Stan Efferding, and Heath Evans. If you look at their social channels you will see their movements and patterns are about slow and steady growth, nothing too fast and dangerous. This is because they are using these exact methods to maintain their strength in healthy ways.
    Now if you're growing or someone still in their twenties trying to break into powerlifting or being a professional athlete you need to pay attention. These tips are what took Matt to the next level, and if you follow them you too will be able to workout the proper way and will see gains like no other!!
