5 SECRET TRICKS to DESTROY your PR?!? (Max Effort Bench Movements for Huge Gains)

  • We're all human, we all have self imposed limits to our training when we hit a certain threshold. It's a fact that the human body begins to slow down once you hit a certain level of strength. It's this barrier that the top tier lifters have a hard time breaking through. NOT ANYMORE! These 5 exercises and movements are going to help you break your BENCH PR and build even more muscle than you thought possible. (MATT USES THESE LIFTS ALL THE TIME)
Have you ever used a football bar? Have you ever isolated your bench movement to one specific area? Have you incorporated bands to give you more resistance at the top of your lift to ensure you have max power to lock it out? Have you used tempos? WE DIDN'T THINK SO! (Of if you have that's awesome but we're sure you haven't seen these all together.) Today is the day you find the way to truly break through and build your body up with new exercises for your bench press.
While benching is one of the ultimate lifts you MUST be sure to work the posterior (back) muscle groups twice as much as the anterior (front). You can find videos where Matt goes deep into the knowledge vault to show you what you need to do BEFORE YOU BEGIN BENCHING. Matt wants you to have the healthiest and strongest body possible. This means you NEED to watch these videos. (Sorry for the abuse of the caps lock key but we mean it here at Ludus Magnus.) We're in the business to make you as strong as possible without injury and this is the only way you can be sure to not hurt yourself over a long period of time!

Love the floor press! It’s probably been the best accessory that’s improved my bench. It trains the overall pressing power of the upper body, when done correctly of course. No arch, no leg drive, just raw power!
    God I love it!

Matt just subscribed, you definitely help us all with your knowledge and experience, I'm also proud of you for helping are military get stronger and better, wish your format for strength was implemented in my training when I was in the army,we did a ton of running and lucky for me I always weight lifted got very strong grew good size, but if it was centered on your style we all good of got beastly, obviously we were burning ton of calories, and I'm sure because of that the majority of us were in a calorie deficit,no doubt,I got out of the service in 1989,are you still training the military?

What type of bench do u use
    What type of squat rack
How hvy to go in all those exercises
I am doing bands with 185 floors with 185 +chsins and regular bench is 225 for 1
So my floor is as strong as my regular bench press why?
Use green bands from jump stretch
Chains are small ones 3/4 not 5/8

I recently (in june) had an abdominal tear that wasn't a hernia but now everytime I do any sort of heavy lifting, like maxing out on squat or train longer than I should, it just gets agitated and sometimes it feels like it's about to tear open and become a hernia. Do you have a video that explains how to recover from injuries like mine, if not, could you do a video that goes through in detail about how to recover from abdominal injuries? I'm hoping you see this comment because lifting is a thing I want to do until I die, but I don't want to have my lifting revolve around this injury. Thank you for your time

@@shawnwilliams6108 I had. You have to do deep tissue massage. Do it several times a day and avoid abdominal exercises. It'll still take time, but you have to get rid of the scar tissue. Write me if you have questions. Also do plenty of warm ups.

    What brand is that rack?

  • @juddincredible
    @juddincredible 3 года назад +2

    The double light band bench:
Is that two light bands on each side? Or one light band but wrapped around the peg ... doubling the tension on the one light band?
In the power building manual you have bench lifts that say or are listed as “double band”.... just trying to understand if that’s two bands each side or one wrapped
I hope that question makes sense 😀
