      Depends on your decisions. When you accept Bhaal, than Bhaal will control everything that becomes out of you.
      Laezel has also a very bad ending, when she stays with Vlaakit (did I write that right? That murderous-queen). Even when Shadowheart with Shar does not suffer such a direct ending, I personally think her ending with Shar is also very negative.

    • @What_do_I_Think
      @What_do_I_Think Год назад

      @@gkkk2735 It is a little more than "cult member" for Shadowheart. She basically betrays her real heritage, kills her own parents after years of torture (where she was involved), does not recognize them at all and what is her future: Ever become brainwashed by her goddess, living a live of darkness and servitude just to be replaced one day by somebody else and most likely being killed in the process. Somebody else posted a video with dark Shadowheart which was romanced. At the end she says to Tav, that she will give him all she can give -- but Tav should "not call it love" -- because she can't love him with this "goddess".
      What happens to Shadowheart could be described as following: A soul-less puppet of her "goddess", that abused her to kill the daughter of her real goddess.

      Poor Durge. If you think about it. All he has done, all of the murdering & killing and all those crimes he committed, weren't actually um fuly, truly "his" fault. You see, he did not chosen this path. He was born cursed with being a Bhaal Spwan. And he was not strong enough to fight it. It is a fate worse than death. Even if he killed like 1K people, this punishment is way to harsh and actually he is still a threat cuz he is freely roaming the world. I can not see him somehow "getting better" later on... but maybe... who knows, the endings are not "set in stone" as they leave a lot to speculate.
      Also... Just a thought: You can not have a Durge NPC companion. Durge is always a player character. You can not simply "dismiss" that Origin from your party. It is a player avatar. A real person is invested and has a "connection" to their character. So, my question is: Why Larian decided to make it a possible ending in a 1st place ? Who would be happy to see their character ending up like that ? And the dialogue options ? What mad man came up with this. I have the feeling that this ending is yet another "(in) famous Bear scene" so that the game can be bragged about even more in the news lol.

    • @Krovos_
      @Krovos_ Год назад +50

      Only Bhaal can fix you. In the good path, Bhaal reclaims Durge's soul and with it the urge to kill but Withers uses his power to bring back part of his soul post-tadpole.

    • @bibby659
      @bibby659 Год назад +11

      Technically, Bhaal doesn't claim your soul, he attempts to destroy it. But since your "rebirth" of sorts that cleared your mind in the first place, your soul was no longer fully Bhaals to claim nor destroy, so when he does end up doing that, he only does it to a portion of your soul. The part Bhaal himself still had influence over.

    • @bibby659
      @bibby659 Год назад +5

      Bhaal was taking over, but Durge was likely in constant agony fighting back to keep himself as he was and to keep his mind clear. During such, he likely requested he be locked up before basically going feral in the cell. At the end, there is only 2 options at that point, risk your sanity inevitably collapsing in on you, and you turn back to the feral bloodstarved monster you were before, or to kill yourself and hope death is kinder and able to provide an opportunity for escape and redemption. Its dark... but come on, this is the literal Dark Urge here, his whole plot line is dark.

Also seeing Durge end like this kinda hurt myself quite. For Durge after all we have been thourgh, we shared stories, battle, fun, laugh just to see Durge end like this. It's a grudesome fate for Durge to deny Bhaal not taking the Absolute, it's a fate that I don't want my Tav Durge entangled even I sided with Bhaal and take the Absolute. We immerse ourselves in the role of our character so for me and for my Tav Durge to end like this kinda hurt me !

      @@joemcguire9988 I am not sure, if this is "best case". She did not want to go there at all.
      When you ask her at the party, there is another option for her leaving avernus completely, but that is somehow still a cliffhanger.

      @@What_do_I_Think best case, given the options. The best case would have been never be sold into slavery to the devil. But we can’t have everything in life.

      Only a Dark Urge who embraced Bhaal. A DU who fought early enough gets a nice redemption.
