This ending is so inconceivably, impossibly fucked up. You escape from prison, become a breeding rack for the other cultists, slaughter untold amounts of people and then return to the party to kill your friends. You are conscious and aware of what your body is doing, including the rotting teeth, the bleeding scabs and the itching skin. Bhaal punishes you by making you desire nothing but merciful death. And even then you will belong to him. There is no escape. All for the crime of being born to the wrong father.

It's okay! Usually with this sort of thing you get a fresh chance to roll a saving throw every week, month or year depending on the conditions! Just uh... Might leave a few bodies behind in the meantime...

@@AikoSeaidk how much versed you are in the lore of dnd but he cannot intervene because it's want AO wants, AO is mentioned a few times by gale, AO is the God of Gods and after all that's happened in the past he does not want the Gods intervening in any way into mortal affairs withers/jergal does so a few times because he does tell you these are exceptional times if you noticed ha also says that bhaal myrkul and bane are trying to take away souls, by turning people into mind flayers, to weaken other gods and strengthen themselves that's why jergal at the end says: "did you think the other gods would not notice?" BTW withers is jergal the previous god of literally the end/death he was the one who split his powers unto bhaal bane and myrkul and now is a scribe for keelemvor the current god of death, previously myrkul was the God of death but it was deemed unworthy. And my guess is yes jergal is probably gonna blast the durge into ash here in this ending 😂.

Him directly intervening in those situations was highly uncharacteristic.

When I first saw the option, I was like that's pretty silly, but the description of how depraved you've become and no longer have control over your own body was much darker than I expected

@@Northalix I am using mods, but i created the save after patch, and only the pissing urself cutscene shows when i choose 1 of the option, any other it shows me getting mind controlled and then it shows that baldurs gate is saved because of u blah blah and then credit scene
I want to give this game shit for basically still being in early access from how much content they keep adding but the stuff that's being added is such high quality and are things that were never even promised in the first place so I can't even muster the energy to be a dick about it
that just shows what it measn to have real dlc, where you have a game, and then it is loved so much you get extra. Its different from selling a game in pieces and calling the released parts dlc, and I am glad Larion did well on this game. So its a very good sign here.
considering it's free, that automatically makes them better than a lot of the big game publishers out there. can't really complain too much when they're legit not charging anything other than the base price of the game, which is fine for the amount of hours you can get from it along with the replayability.
In absolutely no way whatsoever could even just the standard launch version of the game be even remotely close to being considered “Early Access”. Either you simply don’t know much of anything at all about the game or you have a fundamental misunderstanding of what the industry practice of “Early Access” actually is.

Tell your awful dad (Bhaal) to go screw himself after winning the duel against your crazy sister (Orin). After doing that your awful dad fatally disowns you but your cool grandpa (Withers) signs the custody papers and brings you back to life without the Urge which lets you have a good ending.
Why can't Withers help you overcome Bhaal's influence seeing as that you saved the swordcoast? He's shown to have godlike powers, but he can't cleanse you of a curse? That's just bad writing. Bhaal isn't even a true god, he's just a mortal who ascended.

Bhaalspawn are influenced by their lineage even when they aren't being controlled. Withers had the power to set the savior of the world free from Bhaals bondage but he just doesn't because reasons.

If you go into the room behind the alter when you fight orin, you can find durge's journal near the desk in the cabinet/wardrobe. Pretty eloquent imo

Durge can achieve a really happy ending, but you have to resist, resist the Urge and reject the gifts of Bhaal.
