But while he highly revered his father Bhaal, he realized that being able to bring death to the world with Minthara at his side meant more to him. Thus, he decided to betray his father at the very last decision. Hah, if he managed to defeat a Netherbrain of all things, surely he could withstand the punishment, right? It's not as if he rejected Bhaal entirely. He would just do things *his* way, with his loved one.. Never did he expect his punishment to be as severe as it was. The mad Durge ending (the one shown at the end of the video) implies that Durge had their own Bhaalspawn children, but someone found in some files that apparently a lot of those children were fathered/mothered by Gnolls/Hyeanas and other beasts/monsters. I think it says it in one of the options about children at the end but idk which ones or if you have to have accepted Bhaal completely in the game.
God this much worse than the straight up evil ending Tav can have. The Dark Urge being reduced to a mindless bloodthirsty servant of Baal. All you can do is either whimper helplessly with your last shreds of sanity, or revel in the chaos of your broken mind. This is truly the worst timeline in definitely want to avoid
For those thinking the durge stands no chance it either goes one of two ways, if we look at the fact the durges canonical class is sorrcerer and he broke the cell bars allegedly with his strength that probably means at full power he might be a match for that entire camp, not to mention he is baals chosen making him stronger than even a level twenty adventurer, the only ones surviving that slaughter are withers and maybe gale. Now if we do gameplay scaling, yeah no he’s fucked by god gale.
The real 'evil endings' are being added in September of this year with Patch 7. Oddly, as important as the Dark Urge is, they left out the real ending due to time constraints.
Damn it i was already max level when i accepted bhaal. I shouldve rejected him. I got Lae'zel's good ending where they raise that one gith egg but then the urge ruined it. I was so close now my character is in the void forever
Durge can earn his happy ending. But he has to truly oppose his Bhaalist nature, reject the power, the gifts, the adoration... All in the name of virtues born from a broken mind.
I know there's lots of other things to talk about in this vid, but the way the Durge so casually and fluidly flips that dagger to point it at himself in the beginning was... awesome. LOL.
I felt it when if you choose to kill yourself even laezel is distressed. It kinda just goes to show how much of a monster durge truly is yet he still has people who like him
Do you always end up in a cage and on a killing spree if you don't kill yourself after destroying the brain while beholden to Bhaal? I'm wondering about what happens if you pick 1 or 2 at the docks
Yep, that is the fate. You just walk off with orins blade in your hand at the docks, and don't see the jails scene. Kinda surprised at this ending, was thinking he would at least have his mind, not be ravenous...even orin wasn't that crazy lol.

I do wonder why he doesn’t do that if you take the redemption route.
@@kelseymiller2414 he probably doesn't do that because forcing redeeming Durge would result in the same insane murderer as in this post-jail scene, and that's not a fit for a de-facto head of Absolute who should control the Netherbrain, so sucking his divine essence to make Durge 2.0 is probably more logical choice at this point rather than trying to force them and get... this. It is also possible that he cannot take away redeeming Durge's will for some reason (maybe he can control on that level only those who willingly sworn themselves to him like Orin or Slayer Durge? just remember everyone, the cut bad end for durge could've been muuuch worse
@@thatweirdgirl8466hot, but also didn't the narrator say that most of them almost instantly died? lol
What's was that cut ending?
@@niga3487Durge being SA’d constantly by gnolls and other monsters to sire bhaalspawn, basically used as a breeding horse until they die
@@thatweirdgirl8466 the problem there being that is not entirely how Bhaalspawn are made and the DUrge couldn't make any.
lol @ the "Piss yourself" option
"THIS DEATH IS MINE!!! I CHOOSE IT!! I DENIED YOU OF YOUR SATISFACTION!!!"
in my headcanon it's fitting to end with self sacrifice. violent delights lead to violent deaths and all that. poetic justice.
My dude better hope non of them have insomnia that night
Amazing cool endings, Dark Urge is the best in conent that you may got in this game.
Downside is once all bhaalspawn are dead he returns properly
Bhaal spawn are strong but not, fight 2 full blown GODS, one dark justicier, a vampire ascendant, and SCRATCH
Owl bear too 🤣 crushing flight Jr.
This ending looks so much scarier when Durge is human
Durge’s mind is reduced to nothing more than a beast… that seeks blood and only blood.
Maybe he can cheese them with the surprised condition and high initiative lmao
I love Withers so much. They knocked it out of the park with him.
The "piss yourself" part had me
Thank you for uploading this video
I'll admit I've only been bad for the sake of getting a kill aura armor and then giving up the point at the end of the day I'm good😊
Daaamn. I knew I would never go this route so I watched this instead. Thanks for doing it so I wouldn't have to. X3
When you think about it, Withers being confirmed to be Jergal actually explains a lot about how powerful he is, and how much he knows.
And his quarrel with the dead three
and how much of a handwave it is to bring you guys back from the dead.
I feel like he only charges you gold to discourage you from dying recklessly.
Dark...and yet it pales in comparison to a Lich or Living Swarm run in Pathfinder...that was some sick, freaky shite
The real 'evil endings' are being added in September of this year with Patch 7. Oddly, as important as the Dark Urge is, they left out the real ending due to time constraints.
The dialogue at 1:10 you also get with a good Durge if you turned yourself into an illithid and decide to take your own life at the end!
You get that on every character if you turn yourself illithid if I believe
@@deadlan2424 This line is specifically a Durge line
This video’s thumbnail be so enthusiastic about this will never not be funny to me
Damn it i was already max level when i accepted bhaal. I shouldve rejected him. I got Lae'zel's good ending where they raise that one gith egg but then the urge ruined it. I was so close now my character is in the void forever
1:03 I don’t want to know where he got that knife.
you know its the worst ending because Gale attained godhood.
Not only that. Where is Jaheira, Wyll or Karlach?
@@i3lackfusion good point. Mind Flayer Karlach would be in the worst ending.
Dragonborn just walked into a camp of death, he ain’t walkin out.
BG3 wins for most varied number of game endings.
I thought the suicide was going to fail, like the inner demon would pop up before you succeeded
The narrator in the last ending went: Hold my beer
that bhaalspawn is getting no-diffed the minute they walk into the camp
Lol Laezel and Karlach would ragdoll Durge there.
I mean, it’s gonna suck for them to see DURGE like that, but since Withers is there, it won’t be doing any harm no matter what choices you make.
I read a fanfic like this Before they relise the new endings ? WTF
I am starting to think that durge may not be the good guy
My current honor mode play-through is a Durge. No happy ending then, I guess
You can reject Bhaal though after killing Orin
Depends on your choices.
Durge can earn his happy ending. But he has to truly oppose his Bhaalist nature, reject the power, the gifts, the adoration... All in the name of virtues born from a broken mind.
If i were to fail to break free of bhaal, i think going on to the afterlife with karlach is the best way to end things at that point.
I know there's lots of other things to talk about in this vid, but the way the Durge so casually and fluidly flips that dagger to point it at himself in the beginning was... awesome. LOL.
Suppose with all the change for the endings its finally time for the replay.
@@ReveriesVideos To be fair to Durge, he did get a lobotomy prior to being infected. That's bound to cause some trouble when a god decides to fill you with urges non-stop
@@ReveriesVideos I mean, Orin followed Bhaal and so wasn't punished by him that much. If you screw him over as Durge you are going to get a God's wrath upon you, which does a lot of damage.
@@ReveriesVideosYou may already know, but there is a specific dialogue option that you can take if you choose to duel Orin (if you discovered the truth about her heritage) that will make her hesitate. If she hesitates Baal will intervene and force her to turn into the slayer. Basically, he will take your free will if you don’t do what he wants.
Or maybe Withers uses some kind of protection against it off-screen?)
bro is literally shaking and pissing himself, what an ending.
Good luck doing that, Withers will be intervering.
Withers calling you his friend is still a good ending imo
I feel like naked crazed Durge isn’t gonna do too well to a full level 12 party with literal gods in it
They dare party without me!?
Still can't decide which is my favorite dialogue option in the game. "Piss yourself", or "GRAH!"
Pretty sure Gale just snaps his fingers and you're gone at that point lol
Durge pog 8:35
nice that first one probably will probably tick bal off the most
I love all these endings... lol My end was I could not resist to eat the brains of my dearful friends
