I like it when the game designers give us an unambiguously bad evil ending. "picked the evil side _and_ disappointed your dad? you are a disgusting plague rat who is probably about to be put down"
see now I want a depressing extension to the conqueror ending where Tav/Durge has belatedly realized there's not even an umbrella up on the giant brain and all his companions can say is "praise you!"
Withers, who is scribe of the dead really is an insatiable good guy despite how he otherwise claims to be impartial, merely an observer of fate. Yet his actions are more like a gardener trimming the tree of fate and eliminating any branch he doesn’t like and regrowing (resurrecting) any he wants to keep. There is no true Bhaal wins ending. Withers will just kill you for “ruining his party”
A fact that adds a whole new layer to this is *technically* Withers is your divine grandfather, due to him being Jergal, and Jergal having created Bhaal and the rest of the dead three.
Since Durge was waiting for the party to die down, I'm assuming he would have waited for Withers to have gone away. I'd also assume Durge has gotten a lot stronger if all he has been doing since the Absolute was attacking people.

The dialogue options now obviously show that Durge is nothing but an animal especially with how they're mutilating themselves and moving their body erratically. I'm guessing the new animal-like state is a punishment from Bhaal for destroying the Elder Brain
Durge acting like a worse version of Orin has me thinking that any Bhaalspawn who had goodness in them became demented based on how noble they used to be, prior to the urge consuming their mind. Makes one wonder if Orin tried to resist it in the past while still vying for her families affection until the urge broke her.
The urge is just his original self eating away at him, Gorion Ward the Bhaalspawn protag of Bg1 and 2 is canonically a good person and he had no urge. This urge thing is unique to this particular Bhaalspawn.

You know… this makes me upset. I feel a certain pang in my heart seeing the Dark Urge’s mind completely and utterly ruined and now no less than an animal. A very efficient animal that lives only to kill for his sick and twisted father. At least Withers (or very possibly Jergal himself) wouldn’t allow him to live after what he’s about to do.
What I like about all those endings is that they are not "fully" closed and leave a lot room for imagination & speculation and maybe even future content. For instance, even if Durge will chose to commit suicide in fear for the Bhaal's punishment - there is still a cutscene where he is in afterlife and Withers says that his story is not ever. Even with this ending, where Durge ends up as a Corrupted Husk & desire to kill overwhelms him, we still can speculate what happens later. Maybe he attempts to kill his party & fails and gets killed and is later in afterlife with Withers ? Or maybe he literally kills every party member and this is what Bhaal wanted him to do as a punishment ? Afterwards, the hyper-urge to kill is satysfied, so he regains some of the control, but he is still doomend and has to keep killing, returning to his former serial-killer job ? After all, Durge is the only Bhaal Spawn left, so Bhaal would be kinda dumb (not even cruel just plain dumb) to "waste" him.

Karlach has been fighting in Avernus with Wyll honing their skills even more so,Astarion is ascended so he's lethal as all get out,Lae'zel has been fighting Vlaakiths soldiers across the planes,Shadowheart..well..she's there too. Gale hasn't exploded yet here so I assume he's either eating 20 magic items a day or Mystra has cured him..anyhoo..yeah,The Urge has no chance against the lot of them.
Im so glad with how my dark urge playthrough turned out, I loved my game and my ending and everything that happened only failing to save Karlach was a bit of a dissapointment but you can't have it perfect I guess
Danmit, i chose dark urge in my firs play and don't know what was about, he's a good monk, i don't want do finish the game knowing this bad end, i avoided all dark urge options to try to contain this evil, I found out what dark urge actually was after the bard's murder scene and researched it, from then on I created a roleplay of a monk trying to redeem himself and contain the evil instincts of his damned lineage.

Probably not or not exactly. The Dark Urge character is so far the only Bhaalspawn with the Urge. According to our favorite butler.

I think Wyll became a duke in this one, he's dressed fancy and not in the avernus armor
