    Ingredients
    (A)
    1. 140g ( 1 cup ) Cake flour
    2. 1/2 tsp Baking powder
    3. 10g (1 tbsp) Custard powder
    4. 25g (1/4 cup) Milk powder
    5. 2 tsps Parmesan Cheese powder
    6. 40g (3 tbsps) Caster sugar
    7. 50g (1/3 cup) Soften butter
    8. 1 egg
    (B)
    1. 4 Salted egg yolks
    2. 320g Lotus paste
    Bake in preheated 130°C ~ 150°C oven for first 10 minutes, take out & cool for awhile then egg wash, back into oven bake for another 18~22 minutes or till golden on top.
    Baking time & temperature may vary depending on the type and accuracy of oven. You may need to adjust your oven temperature accordingly.

    This looks amazing! I have tried baking, but the pastry at the top is undercooked and doesn't separate/go fluffy. What am I doing wrong?

    Hi Kimiya, I cant take milk powder. Can I dont add that? If yes, is there any changes I need to make to the recipe?

    Can I use Hong Kong flour instead of Cake flour? Can I use cheese instead of cheese flour?

      Hi Jackie, if you don't have cake flour, you may use hong kong flour or all purpose flour as well. If you don't have cheese powder, either you might omit them, or you may try out some cheese as well, I think it will be as good as cheese powder too. Sometime creative in baking will gives us surprises.

      Hi Mabel, yes if you don't have custard powder, you just omit it and keep the rest of same ingredients.
