It's called a mutation. It's required for evolution to take place. They obviously aren't going to be superpowers, but it will likely be something like having a spine that is better suited to walking on two legs, or having the right enzymes to digest meat.

... and yet despite all the supposed outrage from whiny gamers online, Metro Exodus and Anno 1800 had record sales compared to previous iterations.
It's still coming out in Steam 12 months later...
It's one way to earn alot of money really fast and they are probably sponsored as well. I wont get epic store because it's crap for alot of reasons but I'd like to say I wish they released it to steam earlier but if you want the game really bad you can wait and be patient.
