But after this, if anything of wanting to be done with ME was true, than you can with pride throw in the towel and be confident in that this is the best to ever do it and always will be. This is nothing short of amazing and truly a remarkable feat in the ME speedrunning community. Also shoutout Taco. Huge gamer moment
Given the massive liberties the industry (that never learns anything, tee hee hee) has been taking lately, it's easy to forget that Catalyst flopped because it was Woke, and people were already sick of that Orwellian crap.

never seen ME speedrunning before, immediately recognise a few of the tricks, kick boosting, wall boosting, mantle boosting, never thought you could completely freerun to take an otherwise impossible route with enough tech and speed
I played this game years ago, and it's crazy watching Faith Cannonball through every single chapter like it's nothing, I have longed for a TAS of this game
I can't even imagine how such a speedrun could be made. It seems to me that Req reviewed the gameplay of what he did with the tool thousands of times, in fact, it is a script that presses the keyboard and mouse at a certain time. The slightest deviation from the route will lead to inaccurate work of the script, I mean changing the camera angle, position, and so on. And it seems to me that Req launched a new game each time to check that the script was running correctly, and he edited it throughout the entire game. These are just my guesses, I don't know the truth, but it would be very interesting to see the work process.
I assume that as is with most TASs every playable segment is done separately, so that the work to configure the run can be offloaded to the community. It's less prone to loading times that way as well.
I appreciate that the optimal way to open doors is to drop kick them at a specific angle that makes it easy to immediately long jump into a wall to start accelerating off the windows of nearby skyscrapers.

I am in utter disbelief… you guys have truly outdone yourselves. I can’t believe it’s finally here.
You turned Mirror's Edge into "hell yeah" simulator
Reaching Super Mario 64 TAS runs levels of fuckery in Mirror's Edge TAS runs now. Good job.
I'm not involved in this scene at all, but seeing a TAS this good brings a tear to my eye. Great job!!
I can't believe I'm credited in a run of this magnitude, it's a dream come true.
imagine you don't know what is speedrunning and you see this
The gun thing at the end of chapter 5 made me burst out laughing :D Amazing work!!
I can not even imagine how much time, effort, (and endless optimalization paths) you guys put into this... just to show us the 20min unique experience. This game is so beautiful, the comunity is so beautiful, the feelings I got when I watched it were beautiful. At the end with this song I almost cried, you guys are absolute BEASTS.
Im so glad you back Req, I always knew you can't leave us for long, thanks God.
Damn well done both of you, this is sick! Awesome to see this game pushed to its absolute limits.
Your passion for this game was always unmatched, getting this recommended to me and being transported back to the shitty runs I'd do in 2015/2016 was a treat. Thanks for all the work you put into this game to give it the send off it deserved
8:26 that rat was not expecting a person flying at mach 2 at him like that 😂
Completely fucking nuts.
This needs to be put in a museum somewhere.
Been following you for a long time. From the times of the banter in Zubmits twitch chat, to Catalyst dropping and bombing hard, to the segmented run that seemed impossible to top and you countless of times saying you are done with ME which I honestly don't know if it's always been a meme or not.
@@KopperNeoman cant believe the parkour game went woke this is so sad 🥹😭
@@KopperNeoman my favourite part of Catalyst was when Faith went "I am pronouns" and transed all the cops in the city
Man mirrors edge still looks great even all these years later
Witnessing the first Mirror's Edge full run TAS in live.
I never thought I'd live it. Thank you world for one !!
GG guys
Bro, I'm also very shocked, I've been waiting for this event for several years, finally it happened
So this is truly the fastest way possible to complete the game? Gorgeous.
I've seen some insane speedruns of this game but this is something else, Faith is straight up flying in some sections and the engine struggles to keep up with what's going on. Truly impressive stuff, not a clue of how any of this is possible even knowing that TAS can do inputs at unreasonably fast speeds.
Mirror's edge but Faith is a cyborg. My utmost respect to both of you!
congrats to the both of you. it was admirable to see how dedicated you were throughout the whole process, despite the stresses of life and the difficulty of the project itself weighing down on you. from the very start, you aimed high and dreamt big, aspiring for perfection, and now it's paid off and you can rest. much love bruddah
1:37 T pose
A pose
I hope Mirror's Edge Speedrunning never dies
2:47 THIS ALMOST PUT ME IN A LAUGHING FIT LMFAO
hell yeah sick run!!! I love to see when new kinds of TAS runs come out for games, always a sight to behold :)
You are so fucking goated Req. I was in complete disbelief and awe the entire time watching this video. I can only imagine just how many hours went in to creating this. Huge congratulations, and thanks for all of the incredible mirrors edge content over the years ❤
Imagine going back to 2009 with time machine and showing this to ME players from that time
13:10 imagine POV and shock of these self-assured cops the moment Faith turns around in a nano second and starts glitching around the reality
No one:
Faith: starts matrix flying
Just... wow. This is going down in the speedrun history books
i hope tomatoanus do a video explaining all the strats used, amazing work, gj!
this is how Alex Mercer does parkour

Imagine being one of the blues and seeing this instead of just a regular runner.
You finally did it! Now you can finally play the game normally
What do you mean. Looks like a completely normal gameplay to me. /j
never seen ME speedrunning before, immediately recognise a few of the tricks, kick boosting, wall boosting, mantle boosting, never thought you could completely freerun to take an otherwise impossible route with enough tech and speed
Probably the most insane thing I've ever seen, ty. gg
The stormdrains section at 4:09 was like the most confusing thing ever xd
This is a history of speedrun techniques
It's like trying to watch a regular human body try to physically keep up with Mario 64 platforming
I played this game years ago, and it's crazy watching Faith Cannonball through every single chapter like it's nothing, I have longed for a TAS of this game
i have so many questions, i would love to see a vid on the process of making this.
Req dropping the bomb out of nowhere. Definitely not expected.
Insane job Req!!
This is what I call mirror's edging
I thought this game was about edging in front of a mirror...
Titanfall 2: "A Pilot sees the world differently."
This is awesome, I've been wanting to see something like this for so long. Huge props, thank you!!!
Just flyin' around and kickin' walls and windows for 21 minutes, the usual, haha.
Very entertaining to watch, amaiznig job!
I for one didn't realize Mirror's Edge had so much content. Wow!!
eryone been edging for quite a long time
This will be remembered as "that one insane speedrun"
12:11 I laughed so much at this that my face hurts
I appreciate that the optimal way to open doors is to drop kick them at a specific angle that makes it easy to immediately long jump into a wall to start accelerating off the windows of nearby skyscrapers.
laughed out loud at 1:25
2:45 just imagine being these guards getting off the elevator and you see a girl one second sprinting down the hallway at 80 mph into your elevator and beats your ass, and then teleports through the ceiling of said elevator . I'm clocking out and not returning lmao 😭😭
Knowing some speedrun strats of this game, makes this TAS run insane.
Nice work, this is awesome!
ridiculous stuff dude congrats on finishing the project.
this is one of the most outrageous TASes of any game i have ever seen what the fuck
I would love a tas explained type video for this because it's so impressive, but also, i have no clue what is going on lol. And I always enjoy hearing people explain how they absolutely break games for speed.
Gosh, I love TAS, Half Life, Mirror’s Edge, Trackmania Nations Forever, Portal, Portal 2, Titanfall 2, all crazy as hell on their TAS runs
