Man, that will be THE game I was longing for my whole life. I need this! Such a great idea to make the history of humankind playable. I think games of that genre will become an important factor for gaining knowledge and to see the world we're living in with different eyes.
The developers shoud relly consider "The stoned ape Theory"(or hypothesis as stamets is calling it) for the leveling structure. ruclips.net/video/Nxn2LlBJDl0/видео.html
For anyone who is confused about how this is going to work: If all goes to plan, in two years time we will be able to get this game! It will be a 3rd person action adventure game that will be open world. We will have a game that will be set in a jungle in Africa and we will play as our ancestor. We will have about an hour of narrative story to start with. We will play it and see the how we evolved. After 1 hour of the narrative will finish we will have the open world. Which we can use the tools and skills we have learnt to survive in. We will get to play this until the next chapter comes along about and month or two later where we can carry the story on and so on. The benefits of this will be that through the middle of the games release they will be getting feedback which they can act upon immediately for the next chapter. It's basically a game like AC but we will have a sequence an episode. In AC though when we have bad feedback they are too late to fix the current game. But with this it is perfect. It is also so that an indie games company will be able to release AAA quality.
kbg12ila so you are asaying that it is made of chapters ? sorry i didn't get it, so every chapter the time pass and you get to another age or something.
Trooder 1st "So we do an action sequence telling you the first time when we stood up. We let you sprint, see forward then leave you in an open world and you survive as long as you can," Desilets said when detailing the studio's vision. "In a later chapter you will eventually have a family that needs to survive, a tribe that needs to survive, but that is in the next chapters."
1. I'm a huge history nut so this definitely okay with me 2. They referenced Assassin's Creed (I don't know why) 3. I assume this game takes place throughout history (That's what it seemed like.)
They referenced Assasin's Creed because some people, I believe, working on this game, worked on those. :D But I just found out this game is an episodic adventure-action, survival game where you get to replay the greatest times in history with a "documentary twist". It sounds awesome and found out about it thanks to a Gamespot article. :D

I can imagine survival in earlier times (from primal to antiquity)... but when it will be set somewhere in Europe of 18 century, what will it look like...
Don't worry, I think Panashe Games are just busy now because I was looking at Patrice's Twitter and in January of this year they had their first meeting.

Ubisoft should have never fired the man who created Assassin's Creed in the 1st Place... Can't wait for Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey!!! Finally we are getting a True Sequel to Assassin's Creed 2 & Broterhood !!!!!! (albeit Spiritual) Gotta recognize IV: Black Flag had great moments too... But let's face it Assassin's Creed 2 is the pinnacle of Assassin's Creed... When both Bros climb the building and then say: May things never change!!!! And then the tittle: Assassin's Creed 2 appears on screen!!!! That moment we all knew it was a great game!!!... Then things change and everything goes uphill from there...
Assassin's Creed 2 is the pinnacle of storytelling as far as AC is concerned. I loved Brotherhood but the end of Desmond in that game is the moment everything jumped the shark. The thing is the game play is fun (although in Revelations and 3 it feels too much dejavu) That's the complaint. The only that is almost as fun is Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag, but it's more of a pirate spin off, than an Assassin's Creed game.
+Conman War You mean Unity? Yeah it was Ubisoft's pinnacle in an attempt of making their own AC2... ACUNITY FTW, BEST GAME EVER BTW how's your sarcasm meter doing?
***** Detail? That's entirely subjective, they put a lot of it yes. But as someone said, AC turned from a carefully crafted game to a beautiful, forgettable sandbox. Story? Ubisoft fired Patrice Desilets, so the story got progressively worse, especially modern day segments. You can tell they just ran out of ideas... they got away with AC4 because that's a pirate game and everyone loooves pirates (not me). All settings are good? Only American Revolution wasn't imho the others are ok. Mechanics? The parkour from newest ACs is worse if you ask me, you just hold a button and the assassin moves by himself. I prefer when i had to carefully analize the environment and see if the jump was high enough to go to the next rooftop, ACU "kinda" improved that. Speaking of which, the majority's consensus is that ACUnity even without glitches was still a mediocre AC game in terms of story.
Btw, Assassin's Creed turned to rubbish so quick after Disele's quitting. The Brotherhood was the last part I took seriously, then plot and atmosphere drastically changed.
Afro3dsMax I am not speaking about income statics, I just saw how scenario and general tone of the series changed right since Revelations. Naive plot cinematics in Syndicate resembles cartoons or Nickolodeon movies for 13 year olds.
Do love the prince of persia reference (running on walls, reversing time) along with the AC reference (killing a million templars. Oh how true that is with the extremely easy mode combat system).
This, in all honesty, is really, really promising. Now, I'm aware that this game has only just begun development, but the premise is fantastic, and the main guy's previous work is stellar. Yeah, Assassin's Creed isn't exactly famous for being the best anymore, but back in it's day, the days of AS 1 and 2, it was regarded as being pretty damn awesome. There are a lot of people hating on this game; I say give it a chance. I'd really like some active development videos on this channel, for example gameplay during production. I know that's not something the bigger games generally do, but I'm really interested into seeing how this idea is pulled off, and I think you could show more and more of the game and possibly get a little public funding. It's worked for a lot of indie studios (I assume this is an indie game?).
This game has a giant potential, but I found it to be too simple. I really wanted to be able to build huts, make fire and more complex tools like stone axe. I just LOVE anthropology and paleontology, but as it is, it's more like Ape Simulator.

I like how they included the references to Patrice Désilets' past games (PoP, AC/Ac2). And damn, the "Climb a campanile with your brother" made me remember that awesome and touching moment at the beggining of AC2. Those feelings.

open world survival/ action adventure game with early/ archaic humans is an amazing idea that I can't wait for. Keep up the good work, although announcing it this early without much to show hasn't done much for marketing.
What an awesome idea for a game, just outstanding! But there are so many great breakthrougs in history of humankind,it seems impossible to fit it all in one game.Stalingrad battle,French revolution, even hippie movement in USA-you name it.Can't imagine how they gonna sort it.As for the gameplay,I suppose we will play as members of single family line(sort of),or as the chosen ones, reminds me a lot of concept of Cloud Atlas.Hope it'll be out in 2016,can't wait!
I'm excited for this game because it's one of those games I've always wanted but no dev was smart or brave enough to do it, but please show us some more gameplay footage. I REALLY miss Patrice Desilets being the head of the Assassins´s creed story and game design, my young teenagehood and present belong to the ac games, it´s so sad for me that ubisoft couldn´t keep Desilets, and now this remembering of ac 2, brotherhood and revelations, just makes me want to cry...... Levi Rodríguez funny thing is that he's been asked in an interview whether he has played any of the newest AC games where he wasn't involved, and he said he played AC3 only... couldn't play it more than 1 hour if i remember correctly lol
When the times comes, I'm just gonna preorder this out of respect for Patrice and what Assasin's Creed (specially the first and second game) "did" to me. Best of luck to Panache studio!

I loved the idea of an unbroken thread linking the past to the present and I loved being able to jump around the thread. But Assassins creed for me died with Desmond. I am 100% invested in this
Not to put pressure on you guys but if this is done correctly it is my perfect game, the settings through history and the mastermind behind my favourite two games of all time being AC 1 and 2, I pray ( not literally) that this game will be amazing. Please include a ice age chapter and please ignore the religious nuts do not pander to them at all, evolution is a scientific fact which demonstrates the theory of evolution and they just have to get over that.
Do you do your own research on evolution? Or are you one of the millions that just follow the "norm". Evolution has so many holes it's laughable and has turned scientists and biologists agnostic... Great looking game though.
So I'm just going to live by my headcanon that this is in fact a game taking place in the prehistoric universe of Assassin's Creed. Which I would personally find freaking amazing.
The idea of the game is just unique. Can't wait and wish you success, hope you will manage to produce something original and not-typical (which would be awesome for the state of the modern "industry")
Cant wait, sound like just the kind of game i would play, but i wonder, will the this game end in 2015 or do you plan this game to go up to like... Charles Darwin and then the second installment in the series would pick up from there. Hope to see it on PC, thanks.

it's confirmed it'll just be an open world like gta in jungle with survival elements and action/killing etc..nothing innovative on gameplay side

Do you know where I can see his conference?
Would u plz tell me the name of this song ?

Assassin Creed didn't have any of that too.

Please include a ice age chapter and please ignore the religious nuts do not pander to them at all, evolution is a scientific fact which demonstrates the theory of evolution and they just have to get over that.
Not all religious 'nuts' are opposed to evolution.
Do you do your own research on evolution? Or are you one of the millions that just follow the "norm". Evolution has so many holes it's laughable and has turned scientists and biologists agnostic... Great looking game though.
+Jesse Pinkman keep watching fox news idiot.
I hope the game will be as atmospheric as this trailer :3
I hope you guys can finish this game.
Looks so f***ing dope! Way more interesting than AC has been in years.
I hope Panache will work with Jesper Kyd as well...
(even if not, a great game awaits!)
So I'm just going to live by my headcanon that this is in fact a game taking place in the prehistoric universe of Assassin's Creed. Which I would personally find freaking amazing.
when is there going to be more info on this I'm excited
I have no idea what this is but I'm hyped! :D
WHO KNOW WHAT SONG PLAYS IN THE VIDEO???
I will wait , whether it is until the end of time or next week . I will wait
I am your 1,136th sub just for the future
The idea of the game is just unique. Can't wait and wish you success, hope you will manage to produce something original and not-typical (which would be awesome for the state of the modern "industry")
Why wasn't this game at E3 this year? 😭😭 I wanted to see more of it
any news?
It looks like it will be very good! I'm guessing.
Cant wait!
longest teaser ever , but it's worth it.

Where is the mention of the invention of Volta's battery?

The Kettering - Antlers
Cant wait, sound like just the kind of game i would play, but i wonder, will the this game end in 2015 or do you plan this game to go up to like... Charles Darwin and then the second installment in the series would pick up from there.
Hope to see it on PC, thanks.
