    ↠ A BIT ABOUT US
We're Chesca and Ben, and with our two pups River & Scout (🐶 🐶 ) we live and travel full-time in our self converted sprinter van, Sophia. We spent the past 2 years road tripping as much of Europe as we could, from the wild coasts of Portugal to the Syrian border in Turkey, tackling lockdowns and a van re-build along the way. But now, we're feeling like a new challenge. In the summer of 2022, we'll be shipping our van from the UK to Canada, on a mission to drive her all the way to Argentina!

Didn't realize Mexico had a wine connection. So many hidden treasures. Omg,the food looks so good. BTW, Scout and River, are beautiful dogs. Love to see they get treated like family. Another foot of snow here in good old NS this week. 17 days till spring. Have a great week and look forward to next Sunday. ♥ 🇨🇦

Thanks Ellie 🧡 Yep it's actually the oldest wine region in the Americas, older than Chile and Argentina! 🤯 Ah yes those two are spoiled pups! We're heading north this week and think there's still snow around California! Not long until Spring and those longer, warmer days 🌞 xx

    "Experience culture through food"
I really feel like that does apply to your way of journeying through the world. Food holds so much tradition and values. I also love and addore your ability to make friends with strangers, I feel like it makes your experiences way more unique! What a great video today. Much love xx 💕

Thank youuu Jenny ❤️ Honestly food is one of the most direct ways to literally experience a culture. You aren’t looking at some architecture or learning the history of something. It’s tangible and real and also delicious 🤤 And the people are always the best part of any place we visit. Like that time we went to Nuremberg 🫶 xx

Another great vid guys. We laughed when Chesca described herself going "full sausage roll" with the blanket! Ben and I were saying the last time we had food experiences like this was back in the east of Turkey 💔 Obviously all that area has been devastated but we made some incredible memories there. In fact, Gaziantep and Antakya was the best food we’ve ever had, anywhere. You’ve made us all nostalgic now 😋🧡

I won't be out on this trip too long as I have to get back and do some paperwork appt.'s. but I am just so enjoying being back out a bit. Epicurean! Love that! The wineries were around $35 for the tasting but that was including the cheeseboard. You could just go and have a glass of wine without the tasting. The restaurant was fairly pricey, European/US prices for sure. I think it was $120 for the both of us with three courses, wine and drinks. But the best experience of them all, the cooking class with Ulisses was only $30 each. No moths in our wallet after this week! 😃 🧡

Yes!! Street food is always the best 🤤 Oh wow, okay. So this is our big trip (we did discuss this a few videos back but you might have missed it). We're doing the Pan American Highway this year, so we'll be driving up to Alaska to pick it up in Prudhoe Bay on the Arctic Ocean. Then we'll be heading back down the Pacific Coast Highway and then all the way through Mexico, Latin America and into South America, finishing in Ushuaia, Argentina. When we shipped the van to Canada in August, we didn't have enough time to reach Alaska due to weather windows. So we drove through the southern States and spent the winter in Baja, ready to start to the trip to the Pan American in Spring.
You're right about the driving though. The USA is HUGE and the distances are massive, so you do have to drive a lot if you want to see a lot. But hopefully you'll enjoy following our trip north as we aren't just going to be driving in each video but exploring awesome places as we head north. We're really excited about this part of the trip, feels like our big adventure is finally happening! 🧡 🗺️
