Glad you two made it to Baja California, it has incredible natural beauty! You mentioned about crossing into Baja via Tecate being only for small to medium sized RV's. Maybe somebody told you this but its not true at all. Going in its easy with any sized rig. Coming BACK into the US I'd say the Max length rig would be maybe a 40 footer, you have to stay to the farthest left lane to go through the border booth. We go back and forth with our 37 foot 5th wheel no problem! Its much better than the crazy busy San Ysidro crossing! Also for when you come back on your way north if you stop in Ensenada again, you can get some limited Trader Joe products at the two Mercado El Roble supermarkets (they have facebook pages) and also La Milpa which is a great little natural/organic food market downtown. Have fun in your travels!! Oh yes if you go back to Valle de Guadalupe you must check out Deckmans at El Morgor, a fantastic dining experience all cooked over a wood fire!
So great to see how your crossing went! Made me feel better about our upcoming adventure (although I think I’ll still be anxious until we just get it over with!)
Greetings beloved, blessing, peace, love and light to your entire household my dear, I honestly I was drawn by your unique nature and the way you do things your own path despite the negativity try to pull you back but because of your intuitive thoughts and the universe has something great for you beloved ❤️🙏
O K Dennis you totally cracked me up when you said "this is what I think" real life romance, enjoy your trip in Mexico we will be following right along.
The lift kit and shocks was $$$$ well spent. The side angle you could've gone though even worse. I have colleagues who do the same thing with their rides but never off road or travel, they just want to look like rough outdoorsy people.
Sooo happy to see you two exploring in Mexico. That is amazing. Have to hand it to you with your prep work. I’ve noticed in your travels you two really have a solid outline and understanding of what your getting into. buena suerte y mis mejores deseos 😊
That border crossing guide is genius and looks great! I don't have an RV but I love road tripping the US in my car. I live in TX so Mexico is close but I tried crossing the border about 4 years ago and had a horrible experience. This would have been so useful! Safe travels 😊
The RV looks great guys! Glad the lift kit is helping you. Next time you're in San Diego you should upgrade to our WTD progressive leaf springs. That will really make a big difference on those rough Baja roads!
Florida DMV really is the best. After a visit to their Vero Beach office to renew my 92 year old mother's registration, I went away amazed. They went out of their way to help, and were really nice in the process, the complete opposite of our Massachusetts DMV.
Glad you made it across. I can't wait for you to find the old plate one or two videos down the road. Definitely an English lady with the little collar popping out. Glad to see you got the lift. Definitely helping with the near river crossing. I've never been closer to van life than right now. A car drove through my house and destroyed the kitchen and living room. The whole thing is condemned and I'm doing some hotel life. Wonderful opportunity to get rid of 60% of what I own. Insurance is doing good with me, but I'm definitely feeling displaced. Seeing you guys doing your thing really makes me feel better.
@@EatSeeRV it's definitely a major change. Hopefully, I end up with a new house out of it, and get rid of a lot of stuff that I don't really need. Like I said before, watching your videos takes me away from some of the ridiculousness that I'm working through right now. Thank you so much.
On laundry detergent, I switched to the detergent sheets - no more big heavy jug that takes up a lot of room. Your provisioning reminds me of us preparing to sail our boat down Baja and all of the food items we would buy in the US. And the border crossings... we left our boat(s) in Mexico and would return to the US, then go back to the boat with a truck full of gear, food etc - always nervous crossing. UGH! Funny - we still call speed bumps "topes"!
Haha you guys have so much fun 😊 all your boat RV adventures! I love it. Also we want to switch but we can at least give lavanderias here our laundry soap and they will use it. I don't think they'd use sheets. We want to switch though!
Watching this video made me reply to this comment because people will get the wrong idea about the road conditions in Valle de Guadalupe. This season broke all rainfall records for the last 7 years. Of course, being mostly dirt roads, it will get flooded and muddy, but overall, most roads, even the one that go to the RV Park and Doña Esthela, are in pretty good shape throughout the year.
Glad to see you arrived safely. While watching you pack up and prepare I wanted to recommend a laundry soap called Tru Earth. In case you haven’t seen it check it out. Less impact on the environment and so small for travel.
Wow that was one heck of a trip, I went to Mexico but that was almost 20 years ago, I remember the Beaches and I remember the food, the foon in Mexico is absolutely the best, especially if you like ceviche I highly recommend it where you get to a restaurant that serves it, I wish I be there with you guys, but enjoy every moment cheers to you both on you Mexico journey. Adios see you soon love Becca.
Yaaay!! happy for you. We've been watching Baha videos for two yrs(one more year to go!) as we wait for hubby to retire before we can rv down there. I loved your other Mexico adventure videos and am looking forward to seeing Baha and getting more tips and tricks! buena suerta😊
My love & I are headed that way in less than a week. I’m a free spirit… & have never let fear dictate especially other people’s… but my people are freaked that we’re doing this trip & telling countless horror stories to dissuade us. We’re still going but I’ve gotta be honest, they’ve rattled me a bit. Are we really safe in a new truck, new RV, on this wild, wooly, & remote walk about?… Enjoy yours! We may see you along the way. ❤️
I get it. People "warn" us in the same way. Join FB groups for RVing in Baja + Mexico and stay up to date on what they share. Be aware of dangerous areas and move through border towns quickly. We haven't had any issues and feel safe here, but we won't say things don't happen. I definitely think it's not as bad as the fear people spread. We choose to only listen to advice and recommendations from people actively traveling there, not people who heard something from someone or things that happened years ago. Safe travels!
Great video Liz and Dennis. Looking forward to your Mexico adventures. On the laundry detergent topic, check out Tru Earth Eco strips laundry detergent. They are great and also from a great company here in Canada, but I’m sure you can order hopefully to Mexico. LoL. They also may have an affiliate program for you to check out, as I know Downie Live is sponsored on his vlogs. Anyway take care safe travels, Peace and Calm. 👍🏻😎🇨🇦
Hey there are lots of people that make this mistake but there is no “A” after the “TI” so it’s actually like TE and then Juana not TIA JUANA. 😊 now you know
Haha why? It's our life and he farts. That's what happened in the moment we thought it was funny. We're trying not to censor as much of us for RUclips and showing more of our real raw selves. This is part of it! 🙃
Thank you for sharing. Cannot wait to see more from Baja. Where is the organic grocery store in Rosarito? I have to show J. We had such a stressful border crossing in San Ysidro. Failed for the second time to get our FMM. We had quite the title issues, had to rent a van in San Diego to take to Baja and park ours at San Diego airport as we had to get our van all the way back to WA in person to get it registered and it can't be insured properly without the title work. Happy you made it. Dennis handled roads like boss.
how well did you guys remember your Spanish? thats the biggest thing I worry about when I will go out of the country for around a month in April-May is forgetting my Spanish. and its been much longer than that for you guys. regarding the FMM, not sure if you know this but Mexico has now phased it out for air travelers that arrive at the major airports such as Cancun, Mexico City, Puerto Vallarta and a few others. I think the plan is to completely phase them out including border crossings. instead they are now stamping right in your passport with the number of days granted. anyways, something to be aware of for the future.
We still practice but definitely forgot some. We're taking lessons weekly. That's cool about the FMM going away. Will it change the length of stay then?
My wife and I have been to San Felipe and Ensenada on dozens of trips. My brother owns a home in San Felipe. But I haven't gone more than 50 miles South of those two cities. I'm considering taking my 24 foot travel trailer and 2 wheel drive truck to Loreto. Are the roads to Loreto smooth as silk? Or at least adequate for an standard RV? Thanks.
I wouldn't say smooth and definitely not like silk. But thousands of RVs make it down here each year. We'll be showing more of road conditions in videos to come
Not sure when you went to El Valle but we just visited it today! Oh my! It had just rained and the puddles and ruts were deep! We definitely could not bring our Class A diesel pusher up there (we are in our Jeep this trip). I can see why you guys had concerns getting up that dirt road!
I misspoke in the video! (border crossing stress brain). FMMs can be issued for 180 DAYS (6 MONTHS) NOT 60 days!
Mexico is fantastic!!
It is indeed!
Dude, it's a taco, you can't build it wrong!! Great video, have a lovely time in Mexico.
Hahah thank you!

Even after my last gloom and doom warnings, you still find a way to make Mexico beautiful, which it is of course. Happy and Safe travels.
Haha yes we hope to show a different side of it!
The lift kit and shocks was $$$$ well spent. The side angle you could've gone though even worse. I have colleagues who do the same thing with their rides but never off road or travel, they just want to look like rough outdoorsy people.
Yes the $$$$ four dollar signs is accurate. But couldn't agree more. Money well spent!

Que dicen los orgullosos Mexicanos...........de su viaje por su pais.......................ellos son los dueños...........WHAT ANSWER.?
