Finally a useful video on lights!! You are spot on man, showed me what I needed to know about these lights! really great way to demo them. No fuss, not strange set ups, or lots of pre/talk, just direct comparisons! More video channels need to be like yours.
Thanks for this. I've been debating whether or not to move onto led panel from softbox and you helped me make My decision. I think that I will be investing in the Neewer kit.
Thanks for this review man. Been looking for an actual demonstration of exposure for these. They're so small. I didn't really think they could output that much light.
if he wasn't using the diffuser on the LED's that would be why. The softbox on the other one is diffusing the light more not making the light as harsh. Had he taken the diffuser off the "old ones" the light would have been a much harsher light and created more shadows.
Thank you for the informative video. I'm deciding between the two. Which would be apt for recording art videos on the desk with minimal shadow? Would one need two led lights vs softbox?
Thanks for the review! It's helpful. Could you please say how far, approx how many feet, were you standing from the neewer led lights when you show a sample of it's lighting, towards the end of video?
autobotsNdecepticons yeah I have the gvm 480 kit, and it’s absolutely incredible for the money. The soft filters or diffusers do a decent job at softening the light, but to be totally honest it just isn’t as soft as a soft box. But the led lights are infinitely more versatile
Thanks for the info 👍 I’m most definitely going to order these for my channel. Man this video hobby has been expensive. It started with the $1,200 drone, then led to cameras, microphones, lens and now lights? Hopefully this all pays off 🤔
One of the only videos where someone stands in front of the lights to demonstrate the look. Thanks a lot man

Thanks for actually standing in front of the lights to give us a realistic comparison.
Great demo, very helpful thank you! Showing the relative size of the tripods was very helpful.
I am looking for a video like this forever! So helpful! Thanks!

Thank you for taking the time to make this!
This is the best review of this product. Thanks.
The Neewer increased your video quality, we need another light to kill the shadows. Great video!!!

Interesting how much of a shadow the LED’s throw versus your other lights. Thanks for posting!

which lights are more hotter?
Softbox is hotter. LED emits very little heat.
THIS was a review! I've seen too many that were a waste of time! Great review! Thanks !
I would be interested in these or the 660's if they were daylight balanced only.
Is it loud on white noise though
Did you put on the two LED neewer light and the softboxes for the demo, or just one?
Two
Can I get 1 for a back light?
Great video thank you!
Hows the battery life on the Neewer light?
Good night. What is the power of the lamps used in the softbox? Did you use the 5 lamps at the same time?
Thank you.
Just wondering if 2 of these wld be enough for recording in some distance like a dance video. What do you think? Edit: your is the best review so far!
Wowwww I’m impressed very well informative of this review and understood it so good

Is this any advantage to perhaps put a softbox over the led panel ? or just by itself is better ? thanks
Haven't ever tried that. I suppose it could be done if you needed softer light.
How can I get rid of the shadows when I’m using the neewer one ?
Gonna have to put more diffusion in front of it.
Thank you very much for this review! 👏🏾
Glad you found it helpful.

I moved them around for each scene. Sometimes one would be closer than the other. They both would be in a range of approximately 3-8 ft. from my face.
@@DarkStoneCastle thanks a lot! Your comparison review really did help me a lot!
Best Video on youtube Thank you so much
Anyone try the Neewer kit vs. the GVM 480 LED kit?

This waa an awesome video.. thanks for this. Now to go purchase ☺

Yes, it does get expensive. Turns into an addiction always wanting to upgrade and to make things better quality. But, it's a fun process. 😀
DarkStoneCastle agreed lol
DarkStoneCastle yep👍 just upgraded from a t3i to a g7🎥
Good honest video, keep up the good work.
Are you tired?
YOU CAN SLIDE IT TO THE SIDE NOT POP THEM OFF. THE BLACK KNOB LOCK IT IN PLACE
Thanks. I found this helpful.
Thank you ! :)
great review
Do they still work?
Yep!
@@DarkStoneCastle that's great to know ;) thank you
Thanks for this.
You're welcome. :)
Thank you such a helpful video
Good my boss
Neewer led looks harsher. Theres a lot of shadows on ur back with it
Ben Cruz Where light falls is also shadow. Angle of incidence = angle of exit 😜😜😜😜😜😜
Could you have raised the lights up to get rid of the shadows?
Aren’t you a handsome devil!
Who me?
DarkStoneCastle Yes
