Gear I recommend!:
www.amazon.com...
This guy's channel is one of the best light resources on the internet. period. He never promotes just expensive gear it's all technique and options when budget is a concern (which it is 95% of the time in this business.)
Thank you so much for your incredible content sir
Thank you so much honestly. Wow

Found your channel today and watched already 80% of content. GOLD
Give your eyes a rest!!!!
You were at 10k subs when you dropped this useful gem and here you are now sitting at 184k (deservedly so, might I add). Thanks for considering the filmmakers whose pockets are full of lint because they dropped all their $$ on cameras, lenses, lights, mics etc. and STILL keep needing to get an insane amount of production equipment
Aside from the great value you bring in education, I'd say you surpassed 10K because of the vibe you bring. Its unlike anyone else i've found on yt.
No way really?! Thank you
This guy deserves to be known by so many more people...his teachings are super interesting and he makes it easy.
these kinds of videos are gold. i use a telescopic broomstick and two 2m x 2m photographic silks from amazon with clamps to produce the largest soft light i possibly can. i even use it during inside interview scenes in my commercial work. it's super easy to carry and super soft. but you do need a lot of light with it. like 2x aputure 120d or a 300d or comparable to get it to be like iso400 f2.8 from 2m away.
Yeah it’s tough cutting so much light but so needed
Wow, 2 years later you have 126K subs, well done man.
Your classes are great and as a gratitude, I am not skipping any add. Thanks you for teaching us great things.
I appreciate that! a lot thank you!
I don’t need or want a DIY scrim, but I still watched and liked this video. Keep crushing it 👍
Thank you so much!!
Brady Bessette did u really have 10 k. Now 22.2 k has it really been 6 days
Joshua Washington Dude is already a RUclips legend
Hahaha guys guys stop 🥺 thank you
Instead of sewing or adhering the fabric to the frame, hooks and eyelets are a great, cheap way to hold up the fabric while also leaving it removable!
That is true, another option!
俺は天才だ!
if it's too tight the fabric might break sooner than you expect. I think sawing some good and generous wide Velcro could make it easier to not go back and forth many times, then you tight a little more from whatever side you want.
Great video, love DIY stuff, specially when it comes to cinamontography
But how?
@@Dare2Share930 look up "fabric eyelet tool" or "eyelet pliers". Around the edges of the fabric, you punch holes and attach a metal grommet ring. After that, you can hang the fabric on hooks, such as shower curtain hooks.
Thanks for the tips.... it's true, all the professional gears are so expensive
東常ラインは馬鹿
Yes they are! thank YOU
Excellent alternative. And you are a great example of how to be joyful and emotional without having the classic RUclipsr over-the-top fake and idiot enthusiasm. Thanks!!!
that means a lot thank you very much
You know how 10k happened? Because you're offering incredible value to all of us. Keep on doing it and you'll hit 100k in no time.

Oh thank you! Very nice words!
i love DIY builds! thanks brady
Thank YOU for watching!
I commented on one of your videos 4 days ago, and idk if my memory is horrible, but didnt you just have like 2.5k subs that day? and now celebrating 10k while having almost 15k??? you're growing so fast and it's clearly deserved
I mean yeah I think the math sounds right???? it's wild, grateful for all of yall!
you are an awesome, inspiring individual. Thanks for sharing
I appreciate that!
I just watched your video about lighting outdoors, and I went to look for this video and I guess it just came out a few hours ago. Thanks!
certainly did! Thanks!
0:00 yoooo that looks dope!!! Such a cinematic image!!!
Thanks Brady, I learnt a lot from your video! God bless you!
This channel will grow faster than light! 😂 I just made 3 of them. All 3 are 3x3 meters but i used velcro instead of stitching it, this way I can change the fabric from white to green and use it as a big 3x9 meter green screen that can bend 2 places as well like this \__/ or I__I or I__/ or ____/ Keep up the good work man..
That’s a good idea!!!
Can't believe you've almost doubled your subscribers in 3 days. Congrats!
I’m shocked too, trust me. Thanks!!
Dude I subbed like 3 days ago and you had 6k. Now you're at 16k!!! Insane. Well deserved. You are going places.
Thank you so much!!
Found you DIY for the scrim!! I’ve homework now! Thanks again for sharing your knowledge!
Solid sewing skills bro! Thanks for the tips!
I learned in middle school 🤓 thanks!
Haha. I just commented on the other video for scrim diy. And here u uploaded the video.. what a luck for me
Talk about manifesting into reality! Lol thanks!!
I feel like i found another Epic Light Media ❤️❤️❤️ hope you hit 100k soon.. 💐
Hoping!! Thanks!!
Nice! I made a similar one about 10 years ago, but used conduit instead of PVC. My design was meant to be broken down for travel, and I used grommets and bungee cords to attach the fabric
Not a doubt designs like this have been around for some time!
Heck yeah! I ended up making a DIY scrim jim a few months ago, but it was like $100ish...this is way more affordable lol
lol yeah, if you invest a bit more the quality might improve but this thing can't be beat for the price, I think!
Scrim?! I thought this was a video about _SKYrim!!_
>:0 hahaha that’s okay though, I left a like anyway, even though I didn’t know a thing about what you were talking about, because I just genuinely enjoyed hearing the sincerity and passion for what you do in your voice 😃
HAHA I laughed at this thank you though that's a big compliment!
Wow, Brady, you are a super cool person. I could go on, but I don't need to, the positive comments here share my feelings. Thank you Brady. Signed, the friend you haven't met, Andrew

This is beautiful ❤❤
look at this dude blowing up!
ahhh! ThankS!
I made something really similar recently, but essentially did it in reverse (seemed simpler) Made the scrim sheet first, same method.. square and corners cut out, then stitched.. thanks mum! Then cut the pipe (in my case 28mm dowel and brass 90deg elbows.. don't judge :P it was free) it meant the seams were all perfectly neat and you could stretch the sheet to the right tension and then measure off the correct length of "pipe" to ensure it stayed that way.. either way same result!! :D
Hey if it works it works! Thanks for stopping by
Bro I watched all of your videos and subbed today. Great content!! I have the BMPCC 6K and trying to understand lighting better. Your videos definitely help!
Well I’m very glad it helps!!
Thank you the helpful video. You could also use Velcro with glue on the back of it. Can you tell us about the stand. Where did you buy that?
the most long awaited video I see xD
HAHA I think so! Hope it lives up to expectations
Gotta try this at home!

Something something Epic Light Media...😎
Welcome!!!
Nice video! Kinda unrelated but you should do a video about your bmpcc 4k rig. Debating what I should get for my bmpcc 4k.
I could have fun with it!
Here on recommendation from Epic Light Media. That three way diffusion example was excellent. Have a new subscriber. 👍
Thank you and welcome!
Did you just use a clamp to attach it to the light stand? I was thinking about using this for a negative fill and wondering what suggestions you had to fix it to a lightstand so you can move it at different angles.
Great video, thank you!! What strength of Pro Mist are you using for your talking shots 1/4th or 1/8th?
1/8th!
@@BradyBessette I would bet that was the 1/4th! Many thanks Brady

@@BradyBessette is it possible to do a video on your exposure process? I'm currently using a light meter and I'm trying to understand if how to use false color and if it's better than a light meter. Thx for being awesome!
