Is there a certain area on the pecos that you think is worth checking out? I would love a clue. I've had good luck on the Llano river just east of Castell. Not much luck in kingsland at the slab but a few specs
That is a fire agate not a garnet. That claim has some really great agates on that gravel bar. There isn't a lot of gold there but I did get lucky on day after a big flood and pulled out more than a few specks that day. Of course I also almost drowned after being swept downstream so it was a bit of a trade off. Don't mess with moving water ya'll.

I know people have found gold in Granbury though.
