Im sorry and I apologize. I would like to state this..I believe there is a point to it. I hope you consider it. I say this because I love all of you.
Yes salvation is a free gift. Yahushua's work on the cross and resurrection are complete, sufficient and finished, even for FUTURE SINS.
However, if a person examines himself over time and finds that he willfully lives in sin and lives as he pleases, this might be a warning that he does not truly believe that Yahushua died on the cross for his sins and rose on the 3rd day.
Why? Because if he truly believes, through time, the Holy Spirit will convict him. He will long to fight sin, not to be saved, not to work FOR his salvation, but out of gratitude and love for Yahushua. (How can you not love Someone you found out to have sacrificed His life for you even in your vileness?)
Again, we're not talking about a Believer who fights sin (as enabled by the Spirit), out of his love for Yahushua and who occasionally slips. (We all sin and will sin). If such a believer sins and dies, he is saved because his future sins are paid.
We're talking about a "believer" who over time lives in sin and lives as he pleases without fighting sin. Such person might not truly believe from the start. For how can you not fight sin when you know sinning hurts the Person you love (Yahushua) and when the Holy Spirit lives in you (and not because you want to maintain your salvation)?

@@edmarklowelldelossantos4952 this is from Grace Ambassadors. I hope this helps you. If you learn to rightly divide the Bible as the apostle Paul instructs, you will see Gods word in a different ligh. I promise you, it will help you grow.
      "By Justin Johnson
“For we walk by faith, not by sight:” - 2 Corinthians 5:7
How can we not walk by sight? Didn’t our mothers teach us to “look both ways”, and “watch where you are going”?
It is true that living in this physical world is greatly helped by sight, but our ability to see with our eyes is not as helpful when it comes to the spiritual realities of living in Christ.
If we can’t see it, how do we know its real?
If we can’t see a change in their life, then how do we know they are saved?
The answer is found in believing the words of God rightly divided. The preaching of the cross is the proof of salvation, but no one has seen the cross Jesus died on. There is nothing to see in the empty tomb, but it is the evidence of the offer of eternal life.
      People Who Saw
Without faith in God’s revealed words, people are left only with what they can see.
This is why so many religious people desire to see miracles, physical evidences, and signs from God. They think if they do not see these things then God is not real.
They want God to manifest himself … again. I say ‘again’ because the Bible records the many times God already manifested himself and men rejected them all.
God manifest in the flesh walked the planet, and they killed him.
Thousands saw the miracles that he did, and then later yelled, “crucify him”.
The disciples touched him, ate with him, and heard words from his mouth, and yet they fled when he was arrested (Matt 26:56).
Thomas would not believe until he saw and touched the resurrected Lord. When he was able to touch him the Lord responded:
“Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.” - John 20:29
Paul saw visions, received revelations, and wrought signs, but Christ did not heal him so that he could learn to walk by faith and not by sight (2 Cor 12:9).
What more do we need to understand that it is not what we see that matters, but what we believe!
Yet, people still cry for wonders, miracles, signs, and visions, which all perfectly describe how to walk by sight.
We walk by faith, not by sight.
      Walking by Faith
If you rely on what you see in visions and dreams from Christ, you are not walking by faith.
If you are relying on miracles or signs from Christ, then you are not walking by faith.
If your testimony of salvation includes miracles, visions, dreams, or what you see in your own life, then it is doubtful that you know what it means to believe the gospel of Christ unto salvation (Rom 1:16).
Walking by faith means you are strengthened through Christ (which you don’t presently see - Phil 4:13), and not by visible manifestations of God in the visible circumstances of your life.
The lesson of walking by faith, and not by sight can only be learned when we do not see miracles, visions, dreams, or healings.
This is the lesson Christ taught Paul in 2 Corinthians 12:7-11 when he refused to heal him, and which Paul had learned by Phil 4:12 in living as Christ suffering physical infirmities.
The power of God unto salvation is to every one that believes the gospel of Christ, not to everyone that sees a miracle, a vision, a dream, or that can make a pious appearance before men.
Seeing is not believing, and if you are trusting what you see to prove what you can’t see, then you are not walking by faith. Trust the unseen Christ to take your unseen soul and give it eternal life in heavenly places that you don’t see, based on his blood, death, burial, and resurrection which you never witnessed.
Faith is not blind; faith is what enlightens the blind to see spiritual truth. Those who walk by sight are blind to spiritual truth.
Walking in the world requires using your eyes. Walking in Christ requires believing the Bible sitting on your lap."

If anyone is still having trouble with the doctrine of biblical repentance for salvation, I encourage you to look at this from a point of reason (Isaiah 1:18):
    1. Turning from sin is works
(P1) To turn from sin is to keep the law
    • This should be a fairly obvious point but I’ll go ahead and provide scriptural basis:
    • (1 John 3:4, 1 John 5:17, James 2:9-11)
(P2) Keeping the law is works
    • (Romans 9:32, Galatians 2:16, Galatians 3:2, Galatians 3:5, Galatians 3:10)
    (C) Turning from sin is works
    2. We are saved by grace, not works
(P1) Salvation is by grace through faith
    • Throughout the Bible we find examples of this but here’s a short list:
    • (Ephesians 2:8-9, John 3:16, John 6:47, Philippians 3:9, Acts 16:31, Romans 3:24, Acts 10:43)
(P2) Faith does not include the works of the law, they are not attached
    • This should also be obvious but we also need to provide scriptural basis for this:
    • (Romans 4:5, Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 11:6, Romans 3:28, Galatians 2:16)
    (C) Salvation is by faith through grace and excludes works
    3. Salvation does not involve a turning from sin
(P1) Turning from sin is works
    (P2) Salvation excludes works
    (C) Turning from sin is not a requirement for salvation
    4. Evidence is not required for salvation
(P1) If “true” salvation will always result in good works, then those who do not produce works after salvation were not really saved
    • This premise must be true in and of itself. If salvation always produces works afterward then if works are not produced after salvation, the person was never really saved. The law of non-contradiction (a cannot be equal to not-a) proves this premise.
(P2) If the ones who were “truly saved” were the ones that produced works, then salvation depends ultimately on works
    • This follows clearly from the first premise. If only the people producing works after salvation are saved, then the ones who do not produce works are not saved even though they both believed the same thing.
    • Therefore both believe the same thing and works produced are the only differentiating quality between the saved and unsaved, salvation ultimately would depend on works.
(P3) Salvation does not depend on works
    • This premise is proved thoroughly by arguments 1-3
    (C) Saving faith does not always produce good works after salvation
    5. The law of non-contradiction
    • The law of non-contradiction states that “a cannot be equal to not-a” (this is not an argument this is simply a philosophical rule)
    • From here there are two options:
    a. The Bible can contradict itself
    b. The Bible cannot contradict itself
    a. If the Bible can contradict itself, then ultimately we are each left to our own individual interpretation and ultimately there is really no way of being certain what the message of salvation truly is.
    b. If the Bible cannot contradict itself then we have to interpret verses seeming to require works for salvation in light of what we’ve established above from clear verses saying salvation does not involve works.
The arguments above are sound so long as:
    1. The premises are true
    2. The conclusion follows the premises
    1. I proved the premises mostly scripturally (since we are talking about theological ideas which we’re getting from the same book which we consider to be the word of God). Now, though various scriptures are interpreted in many ways by many people It’s important to remember from the law non contradiction that any interpretation of verses which seem to contradict the verses above and the sound arguments made by them cannot be true.
    2. I also made the arguments pretty straightforward and short so that it’s easy to see the conclusions do in fact follow the premises

“repenting of or confessing your sins”… as 1 John 1:9 is a condition for believers to have “fellowship” with God (1 John 1:3, 6, 7) as a child of God (1 John 2:1), not a means to be born again for the unsaved (John 1:12-13). And while one must see he is a sinner before a holy God in order to see his need of a Saviour, the solution is not confessing ones sins to God. Instead, it is believing that Christ made full payment for your sins upon the cross (1 John 2:2, 4:9-10). Otherwise, how many sins must you repent of, how often, in what areas, and how perfectly in order to know you are saved? Confusing, isn’t it? One must repent (change their mind) about trusting Jesus Christ versus something else.

You must repent of all the sins you are aware of, if and when you are aware of them. That's why God says in His Word, "If we confess our sins," He will forgive us. AND that unless you forgive your fellow, you will not be forgiven by God. AND that if you would enter life, keep the commandments. AND if you want to avoid Hell, your righteousness must exceed that of the Pharisees. AND that if you want to avoid Hell, cut off all occasions of sin you are aware of in your life. AND IF BY THE SPIRIT you PUT TO DEATH the deeds of the flesh, you will live. AND that if you don't care for the least of the brethren, you did it not to Christ and will be assigned a place with the goats.
Scripture is replete and clear: faith without works is not faith. Therefore works, which quote "complete" faith, are necessary for salvation, but NOT that which PRODUCES salvation.

    • @AveChristusRex
      @AveChristusRex 5 лет назад +1

"But Peter said to them: Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."
"And after that John was delivered up, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying: The time is accomplished, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent, and believe the gospel."
Repentance is literally turning away from sin. How can you not say that's a fruit of the Spirit? Obviously it falls into the category of faith which brings conviction of sin (I have faith in the God who hates sins), as Scripture says of the Holy Spirit. Holy Scripture says, "But if BY THE SPIRIT you put to death the works of the flesh, you shall live." Of course the Spirit is He who helps sinners to repent. Of course God wants us to turn from sin as He says many times in Scripture.

@@AveChristusRex where in the bible is there a distinction between "sins that we are aware of" and sins that we are not aware of? Sin is not placed into categories with some that keep as out of heaven, and some that don't. All sin keeps separates us from God. Jesus said our righteousness must exceed that of the Pharisees to make a point. The Pharisees kept the law better than anyone in those days, and kept it all but perfectly. The point was that no amount of keeping God's law can save us, because we all fall very short of God's glory, even the best of the law-keepers. That's why we need Christ and his imputed righteousness to obtain salvation. The Pharisees were actually not righteous at all and were only capable of self-righteous dead works since they would not believe in Christ

    • @AveChristusRex
      @AveChristusRex 5 лет назад +1

+John Betts The reason I said,
"You must repent of all the sins you are aware of, if and when you are aware of them. That's why God says in His Word, "If we confess our sins," He will forgive us."
Was not to say you can accidentally sin, because you can't have guilt/sin without knowing it. But rather that you must confess all sins that are present in your mind at the time of confessing (inasmuch as some can escape the memory). But when we become aware of something we haven't yet confessed to the Lord, only demons would refuse to. Only ungrateful pigs would retain an unconfessed sin before the Lord who is waiting to freely grant absolute forgiveness thereof. The greatest insult to Jesus!
"Say not: I have sinned, and what harm hath befallen me? for the most High is a patient rewarder. 5 Be not without fear about sin forgiven, and add not sin upon sin: 6 And say not: The mercy of the Lord is great, he will have mercy on the multitude of my sins. 7 For mercy and wrath quickly come from him, and his wrath looketh upon sinners. 8 Delay not to be converted to the Lord, and defer it not from day to day. 9 For his wrath shall come on a sudden, and in the time of vengeance he will destroy thee."
"The point was that no amount of keeping God's law can save us,"
Are you sure the point wasn't, "Unless your righteousness exceeds that of the Scribes and Pharisees, you cannot enter the kingdom of heaven?" Because I think it was. You said it yourself, these people were hypocrites. He wants us to walk after Him and His example. Pick up our cross with His. Forgive others that we might expect forgiveness. Suffer with Him that we might also be glorified with Him. Taking heed that we fall not from our steadfastness. Being diligent that we may be found spotless before Him. Etc.
You know why Protestants can't fathom Catholics teaching the Biblical doctrine of the necessity of good works, and intrinsic righteousness by grace, is because they have no concept of a remedy for when we falter from that higher standard. Ignoring that we have always had confession. We are held to a higher standard but unlike the Law, we have mercy and grace in confession. The contract God has with His people now is not one of the Letter, but of Grace, whereby He has saved us and asks in return that we simply love Him back and do what He says. He teaches that as His servants, we should say, after having done our good works etc, "we are profitless servants: we have done only what was our duty." We don't expect reward. BUT EVEN THAT He has chosen to connect with our good works! To the end that the more manfully we live in this life for Him, the more He will grant us glory in the world to come.
And no good works pertain to 'being saved.' Jesus saved us. What good works are for is to maintain our healthy relationship with Christ our Saviour, and to sanctify us for a better entrance into heaven when we die. Because you won't leave purgatory until you have paid the last penny for imperfections you let remain unreconciled, un'fixed.' You will be saved, but unlike the one who build the building of works on good ground, you will be saved only as through fire.
What I'm saying is just Christianity. Only 500 years ago was any of this denied. Don't believe me, check history for yourself-Christians never claimed what you're claiming Christians should believe about Scripture.

How about dying to self? Denying self. Loving ones own life not u to death? How bout putting on the new. When Paul tried to live up to law, failure was immminent. But who shall rescue me? Really, we like our sin? It's fun to do those sinful things? We are to GROW IN THE GRACE AND KNOWLEDGE OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST! As we get understanding and see His character more clearly, we can see our sinful nature and the fruits of it are an affront to him. We are to bring glory to His name in all we do. A good tree will bear good fruit.

I’m in such turmoil over salvation. I grew up in church and am aware of the gospel. I can plainly see I’m a sinner and have determined within myself to rely only on Christ and His shed blood as full payment for my sins. Yet, i am plagued with doubtful thoughts. Is me making up my mind to rely on Christ actually faith in Him? I know praying a prayer is not salvation, only faith in Christ. So I struggle to understand how to get what Christ has done actually applied to me? Please, just looking for guidance here, I cannot continue to go there this, both mentally and physically.

You rely on Christ as the atonement of your sins therefore you are saved. No matter how much you doubt your salvation nothing can separate you from the love of jesus. Not even yourself. Pray and ask God to give you more faith and he will. Ask him for understanding and he will give that as well. James 1:5-6 "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But he must ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind"

I love your spirit and your hunger to have an authentic relationship with the Lord. The bible says in 1 John 5:13 that the Lord wants us to have assurance of salvation and our relationship with him. I entered into salvation when I believed in what Jesus did for me, and I responded to Him by being willing to give up my own will and my own thoughts of what is right and wrong. I said to Jesus, "Ok. I am giving my whole life to you, Jesus. I am willing to follow your will and for ways and not my own." When I did that, He became real to me. His joy and love filled my life, a love I had been searching for all my life. And I received assurance of my salvation. I will keep you in prayer.

Jesus saves you, repentance is turning from unbelief to belief as Yankee thoroughly demonstrates in this video.
Doing the will of the father which is turning from unbelief to belief in the Gospel, the Gospel being the Death, Burial and Resurrection of the Lord God Jesus Christ.
Thus believing the Gospel or Obeying the Gospel is turning to Christ alone to be saved.
      Romans 10:
"10 Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.
2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.
3 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.
4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
5 For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them.
6 But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)
7 Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)
      8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?
17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
18 But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.
19 But I say, Did not Israel know? First Moses saith, I will provoke you to jealousy by them that are no people, and by a foolish nation I will anger you.
20 But Esaias is very bold, and saith, I was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me.
21 But to Israel he saith, All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people."

As a child I believed that the Bible was the word of God and that Jesus was my savior .In 1988 I was drinking a fifth of alcohol a day . I knew that there was more to life than I realized but I didn't know what it was . I had a wonderful girlfriend , we raced motorcycles , we went to bluegrass festivals and did whatever we wanted to do . I realized that I had everything the world said was happiness but I felt something important was missing and I didn't know what it was. I tried scientology , all kinds of yoga, martial arts and various other disciplines but nothing satisfied me . One Sunday morning I came home drunk in a taxicab and waiting outside of my house was a man who was giving my roommate a ride to church. I had gone to alcoholics anonymous for six months and they helped me a lot but I had gone back to drinking .He invited me to sit in his car and talk. He asked me if I wanted a bible study. I said I would love to have a bible study . He came on Monday nights the only night of the week that I didn't drink. It was a 12 week bible study that went from Genesis to Revelation. He showed me in the book of Acts ( Acts 2:38 ) where it said repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sin and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost . I said I'd never seen that in the bible and I wanted to get baptized in Jesus' name and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. I got baptized in Jesus' name and prayed for two months to get the Holy Ghost. The night that I got the Holy Ghost I was praying and I started to talk in tongues , I felt wonderful and GOD delivered me from the spirit of alcohol . I have never wanted to drink since then and I praise GOD for that.
. The man who gave me the twelve week bible study taught me a ' GODHEAD ' bible study twice but i didn't understand the oneness of God or the trinity . I was reading the bible one day and read Ephesians 4 : 5-6 that i had previously highlighted in my bible . God gave me the revelation of oneness . ' ONE LORD , ONE FAITH , ONE BAPTISM , ONE GOD AND FATHER OF ALL , WHO IS ABOVE ALL , AND THROUGH ALL ,AND IN YOU ALL !
JOHN 3:16 IS JUST ONE VERSE : YOU NEED TO READ ALL OF CHAPTER THREE TO UNDERSTAND JESUS' PLAN OF SALVATION !
I was a believer from childhood but i wasn't saved .THANK YOU FOR READING THIS !

Don't believe the lie from satan that it's impossible to quit sinning, or that it's works,.
    Luke 24:47
And repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
Jesus never said Trust in Me for the forgiveness of sins.
Some today have replaced REPENT with Trust. 2 different meanings
An unrepentant person knows that he or she has sinned and refuses to ask God for forgiveness or turn away from the sin. The unrepentant show no remorse for their wrongdoing and don’t feel the need to change. Unrepentance is the sin of willfully remaining sinful.
Repentance is a change of mind
    Acts 11:18
When they heard this, they had no further objections and praised God, saying, “So then, even to Gentiles God has granted repentance that leads to life.”
Repentance leads to eternal life with Christ those who refuse recieve eternal damnation.
    Proverbs 29:11
Whoever remains stiff-necked after many rebukes
    will suddenly be destroyed-without remedy.

Folks you had better study your Bible. Yankee is twisting the meaning of repentance. No scripture says I have to repent before I believe. Acts 2:38 says to those who BELIEVED they had killed the son of God to repent and be baptized. Yankee is good at building a straw man (that is creating a situation to build his premise, (doctrine) on). However he gives security to those living in open rebellion to God of a home in Heaven. He (Yankee) says that repent only means to change your mind (his straw man). Repent starts with a changed mind that will result in a changed life. (Not christian perfection) there is no such thing as sinless perfection. I plead with you do not take scriptures out of context as Yankee does.
