Fir the first time ... after hearing the gospel truth ... I want to go forth and tell somebody the good news. I’ve been a Christian since I was just under forty. I’m now 65. Fear has fallen off me. There’s truly good news to share. I don’t have to tell anyone they have to turn from their sins. God changes/(disciplines those He loves) us and if we believe Jesus saves us... not that we can do anything by our own works. I can feel my soul rejoicing because the news is so good. God bless this pastor and the ministry.

Yes, pastor Yankee sure is. God bless you.
How can a lost soul get saved? Here's how!
Christ died for our sins! Are you saved in the Lord Jesus Christ?
Your good works doesn't pay for your bad works, you need a 'payment' for your sins and that is Jesus Christ. You cannot do it alone, Jesus Christ paid it all for you, the only thing you have to do is 'believe' in what He did for you on the cross of Calvary. Jesus Christ is the only cure for sin, so please believe in what He did, His death, burial and resurrection - found in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, saves lost souls when you truly believe from your heart.
Ephesians 1:13, saved and sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise.
Jesus Christ is the only way to Heaven, there is no other way. Please get saved now, time is running out!!
      Eph. 2:8-9 and Titus 3:5

People, who deny that salvation can ever be lost, reason on the subject in a marvelous way. They tell us, that no virgin’s lamp can go out; Mat 25:12 no promising harvest be choked with thorns; Mat 13:7 no branch in Christ can ever be cut off from unfruitfulness; John 15:6 Rom 11:21 no pardon can ever be forfeited, and no name blotted out of God’s book! Rev 3:5
They insist that no salt can ever lose its savor; nobody can ever “receive the grace of God in vain”; “bury his talents”; “neglect such great salvation”; trifle away “a day of grace”; “look back” after putting his hand to the gospel plow. Nobody can “grieve the Spirit” till He is “quenched,” and strives no more, nor “deny the Lord that bought them”; nor “bring upon themselves swift destruction.” Nobody, or body of believers, can ever get so lukewarm that Jesus will spew them out of His mouth. They use reams of paper to argue that if one ever got lost he was never found. John 17:12; that if one falls, he never stood. Rom. 11:16-22 and Heb. 6:4-6; if one was ever “cast forth,” he was never in, and “if one ever withered,” he was never green. John 15:1-6; and that “if any man draws back,” it proves that he never had anything to draw back from. Heb. 10:38,39; that if one ever “falls away into spiritual darkness,” he was never enlightened. Heb 6:4-6; that if you “again get entangled in the pollutions of the world,” it shows that you never escaped. 2 Pet 2:20; that if you “put salvation away” you never had it to put away, and if you make shipwreck of faith, there was no ship of faith there!! In short they say: If you get it, you can’t lose it; and if you lose it you never had it. May God save us from accepting such doctrines that must be defended by such fallacious reasoning!”
      KJV 1 Corinthians 10
12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

No one can pluck us out of His hand but we can walk away. Deny Him. Disobey as a general practice without repentance -- the Bible is full of warnings! They are there for a purpose!! One of the main things that is troublesome to my soul, are those who believe one must strive to live the "Christian life" in order to remain saved. They believe that if you sin too much after your conversion, you can lose your salvation. Or they believe you can "give" your salvation back to God and walk away. Or, they'll say, if you don't live and act in a Christian "manner" it proves you were never saved at all.
I wanted to point out, that if one can lose their salvation, based on their performance in any way, then that makes God a liar.
Jesus said that He gives us eternal life, and that we shall never perish, and that no one can snatch us out of His, or the Father's hand. (John 3:16, 10: 28-29)
If we can lose our salvation, then we will perish, and we will indeed be snatched out of the hands of Jesus and the Father.
    Verdict: God LIED.
The Bible says that we have been sealed by the Holy Spirit which is a pledge guaranteeing our inheritance. (Ephesians 1:13-14, 2 Corinthians 1:22, 5:5)
If we can lose our salvation, then there is no guarantee of our inheritance and the seal of the Holy Spirit is conditional.
    Verdict: God LIED.
The Bible says Jesus will never leave us or forsake us. (Hebrews 13:5)
If we can lose our salvation, then Jesus has left and forsaken us.
    Verdict: God LIED.
The Bible says Jesus always lives to make intercession for us. (Hebrews 7:25)
If we can lose our salvation, then Jesus will not always make intercession for us - only while we remain saved.
    Verdict: God LIED.
The Bible says we are sealed for the Day of Redemption. (Ephesians 4:30)
If we can lose our salvation, then we are not sealed until the Day of Redemption, but only up until we are lost again.
    Verdict: God LIED.
Jesus said that He will lose none of us, but will raise us up on the last day. (John 6:39)
If we can lose our salvation, then Jesus will, in fact, lose some of us, and will not raise us up on the last day.
    Verdict: God LIED.
Jesus said that believers will never come into judgment, and have passed from death into life. (John 5:24)
If we can lose our salvation, then we will go back under judgment, and pass from life back into death.
    Verdict: God LIED.
The Bible says our calling is irrevocable. (Roman 11:29)
If we can lose our salvation, then our calling is indeed revocable.
    Verdict: God LIED.
The Bible says salvation is a gift from God. (Ephesians 2:8)
If we can lose our salvation, then salvation is not a gift, but a wage to be earned.
    Verdict: God LIED.
The Bible says nothing in all creation (that includes us as created beings) can separate us from the love of God. (Romans 8:38-39)
If we can lose our salvation, then something can indeed separate us from the love of God.
    Verdict: God LIED.
The Bible says God will complete the good work that He began in us. (Philippians 1:6)
If we can lose our salvation, then God's good work will not be completed.
    Verdict: God LIED.
The Bible says we have been perfected for all time. (Hebrews 10:14)
If we can lose our salvation, then we certainly are not perfected for all time.
    Verdict: God LIED.
The Bible says our inheritance is imperishable, can never spoil, and is unfading, guarded by God's power. (1 Peter 1:3-5)
If we can lose our salvation, then our inheritance will perish, will spoil, and will fade.
    Verdict: God LIED.
The Bible says if we drink from the living water that is Christ, we will never be thirsty again. (John 4:14)
If we can lose our salvation, then we will indeed be thirsty again.
    Verdict: God LIED.
The Bible says God will sustain us to the end, guiltless in the day of the Lord Jesus. (1 Corinthians 1:8)
If we can lose our salvation, then we will not be sustained until the day of the Lord.
    Verdict: God LIED.
The Bible says that our debt to God has been canceled through Christ Jesus. (Colossians 2:13-14)
If we can lose our salvation, our debt has not truly been canceled.
    Verdict: God LIED.
Jesus said that those who are His will never hunger nor thirst again. (John 6:35)
If we can lose our salvation, then we will again hunger and thirst.
    Verdict: God LIED.
So, what is your verdict? Did God lie to us when He made all of those promises, or is our salvation indeed eternal and irrevocable?

    • @brotherj1405
      @brotherj1405 5 лет назад

Funny you used the word "strive" in your opening statement. Luke 13: 24-27 .. "STRIVE to enter in at the strait gate"... and it ends with " Depart from me you workers of iniquity" . And if that's not enough.. 1 Corinthians 9:27 "But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway." A castaway from what ???? The thanksgiving dinner? I think not. there are a lot more.. the verdict is GOD never lied and Jesus said to Strive, abide and more over and over again my friend. HOLD fast to that which you have received. Grace came FREE through FAITH for sure. Do we continue in sin??? God forbid. We are saved by GRACE through faith. And IF and when we sin we have an advocate with the father. This does NOT mean we can live a life of willful sin. And that is what this OSAS doctrine produces in converts.

Believing in works to KEEP salvation is just as damnable as trying to obtain it by works. If no one can be saved by doing good works or being sinless, no one can STAY saved by being sinless. It's just common sense. Why would God put the burden of works on us to keep our salvation if we are incapable of obtaining salvation by works?

Dr. Arnold I agree that I am saved by what Jesus did for me and not anything I do. The faith I have is not mine. It is a gift of God. I do have problems with evangelists almost always say you have to first, repent. I see repentance as what I do now that I believe not in order to be saved. I did not get baptized to be saved but because I was saved and the Bible tells me to be baptized. Jesus did say that Unless you repent you also, shall perish. I am not sure what to do with this verse. When I share the gospel, I believe that one has to receive Jesus through reasonable logical faith. I do not say you have to do anything other than receive this free gift of God. The present is under the tree, but you have to take it and unwrap it yourself. The gift is,there. Simply, receive it.

Dear Brother Yankee: I think one of the problems with this message is that people might think that you are suggesting it doesn't matter how we live now, since we can't lose our salvation. Perhaps it would be good to teach on the GREAT benefit of trying to live a godly life (need the Holy Spirit's help for "without Him we can do nothing!!"). Also: Not only will how we live as Christians affect our own lives (relationships, God's blessings), it also will have an effect on His Name, which we carry. Plus: With a Christ centred lifestyle, we will receive His many blessings here on earth, and promised rewards in Heaven: “And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work." (Rev.22:12)

It says so in the bible not to. My question is, what if they can see Christ in me (my hope) and it saves them? If I dont fellowship with people who are deceived how can they see my Light. I could post a dense comment, but for sake of practicality I'll keep it brief. In my humble understanding of the scriptures, once saved always saved is an error. Why would there be warnings of making our calling and election sure and how could anyone commit apostasy. Why would hebrews 6 and 11 talk so explicitly of once for all turning from the faith and that it brings destruction.
Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. And this will we do, if God permit. For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God: But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned. But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak.
    Hebrews 6:1‭-‬9 KJV
If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
    1 Corinthians 3:17 KJV
{Now you're only the temple of God if you've been born again and Jesus said that a man is not defiled by the things that are without, but the things that come from the heart defile a man. (Paraphrased)}.
I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.
    Jude 1:5 KJV
    Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice, Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness: When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years. Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways. So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.) Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;

One thing I’ve learned through my walk was the King James Bible has no errors, it’s man’s misunderstanding when reading the Bible that leads to the errors because man is fallible and God is infallible. Example: if 99 out of a 100 verses are in agreement with each other but 1 verse seems to disagree with the 99 verses then the question you have to answer is, maybe I’m misinterpreting the 1 verse because there’s to much evidence for the 99 verses to be misunderstood. I know some of you reading this are going to say “that’s common sense”, but common sense isn’t so common.

I guess to some people, the phrase "born again" doesn't mean much. Jesus said it, ye must be born again. Somehow people act like you can be born on the spirit, and then unborn. On and off

    • @jaymorris9952
      @jaymorris9952 5 лет назад +1

MyTwoCents Can I be physically be unborn? Can I enter back into my mother's womb and reverse the process? Of course not, so why would the spirit be any different? It's not. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. John 3:6. And I see you have Calvinist beliefs. You're right, we have absolutely nothing to do with saving ourselves, it is all Christ. But Christ asks us to do something to receive this salvation, to believe in him. Christ said it, not me. Faith alone does not save us, it's the object of our faith which saves us, the object being Christ and Christ alone. I can't claim to have saved myself if I choose to believe in Christ. If I board an airplane to a destination, can I take credit for flying myself there? No, the pilot and the plane flew me there, but I still can't get there if I don't get on the plane. If I were to claim that I flew myself to the destination just by boarding the plane, it would be a lie. Christ is the savior of all men, especially to those who believe. 1 Timothy 4:10. Everyone's sins are paid for, we just have to accept the gift. If someone gifts me a million dollars, and I accept it. Does that mean I earned the money? Of course not, I only accepted the free gift that was offered to me and earned by someone else.
I'm not saying there won't be some sort of changed life after being saved, what I am saying is that a changed life (in the flesh) is not necessary for salvation. It is necessary if we want to grow and walk in the spirit to have fellowship with God, but not to earn or maintain salvation. It's important to understand and separate the two natures of the believer, which most people don't do. We still have to live with our sinful flesh until we are glorified, and even Paul explains his battle with the flesh and sin in Romans. Is it possible to quit sinning anymore after believing? I would say no. Even your thoughts can be sinful, and you can sin in ways that you don't even know about. Compare yourself to God, not man. Our new spirit will be able to control our flesh if we let it, but not always necessarily. If perfection of the flesh is the only thing that can save us, then we're all doomed. And if we are justified by faith in Christ and not by our actions, then how can we further justify ourselves by our actions?
The salvation message is simple, whoever calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved. Romans 10:13. Whether you do this through a "sinners prayer" or some other way, it doesn't really matter as long as you believe in Christ.

@@FormerMPSGT So Revelation 3:5 says this in its context.
starting in verse 1. "To the angel of the church of Sardis write: He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven starts, says this:'I know your deeds, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead. 2 Wake up, and strengthen the things that remain, which are about to die; for I have not found your deeds completed in the sight of my God. 3 So remember what you have received and heard; and keep it, and repent. Therefore if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come to you. 4But you have a few people in Sardis who have not soiled their garments; and they will walk with me in white, for they are worthy. 5He who overcomes will thus be clothed in white garments; and I will not erase his name from the book of life, and I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.6He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches."
First, He is talking to a congregation rather than an individual and makes a distinction between the entire church of Sardis and the few people who are faithful mentioned in Verse 4. You have to remember that there is a difference when someone addresses a group of people vs individual people. This passage does not address individual salvation, it adresses the condition of this specific congregation. The "name" that won't be blotted out are those who overcome by not defiling themselves with the world. Which given all of John's theology both in 1 John and the gospel of John (Which you quoted for some reason even though the passage you quote is fundemental to the biblical doctrine of eternal security) This passage is a call of repentance to the church of Sardis which he identifies them as dead. Usually when you read both Paul and John, dead is the same thing as non-regenerate.

To lose salvation is to undo the death of Christ. Now a man who considers the death of Christ to be a vain thing is clearly not saved. It is not improving the gospel, it is an utter departure from Christ himself! Its like he is saying to Jesus, "Depart from me". Utter denial! It is the precious blood of Jesus and his resurrection that purchased salvation.

Hello Dr. Arnold, I already addressed your Calvinistic/Gnostic, unbiblical belief in eternal security/preservation of the saints by way of comment on your video "Calvinism DESTROYED with a parable". In this video I see that you are also teaching another unbiblical belief that when a person repents and believes gets eternal life at that moment. I will attempt to address this issue and this is as far as I got in your video. There are two types of death and two types of life described in the Bible. Death means separation and it comes in two ways; Adam in the garden ate of the fruit and died in the day he ate there of=he lost his intimate relationship with God no longer walking the garden with Him face to face but hid himself in shame as he was spiritually dead to God, separated from God spiritually; the intimacy was lost. The other type of death is to have your spirit leave your physical body which happened to Adam many years later. In the same way when the mortal puts on the immortal by way of resurrection with the coming of Christ or by way of rapture, the glorification of this physical mortal body into a immortal physical body is the physical Eternal life and the spiritual Eternal life is defined by Jesus in John 17:3 And THIS IS ETERNAL LIFE that they may know the only true God and Jesus Christ whom Thou hast sent. Paul in 1 Corinthians 13 tells us that we only know in part here on this earth but then when we are face to face we will know as we are known praise be to GOD! Spiritual Eternal life is promised. It is not until we are face to face with Christ (rapture or resurrection of the dead in Christ) face to face like Adam used to be in the Garden will we get no only immortal bodies but the intimacy and oneness in the spirit to have the eternal life promised to those who hold fast to true faith to the end. We do not have eternal life now but the promise. Ephesians 1:13,14 In whom (Christ) after ye believed, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise, which is the earnest of our inheritance UNTIL the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of His glory. Has not happened yet see also 2 Corinthians 1:21,22. The Holy Spirit is the seal or identification of God's promise that you will get Eternal life at your adoption, Romans 8:23b but we ourselves who have the firstfruits of the spirit groan inwardly as we wait for our adoption as sons, to wit, the redemption of our bodies. You have the spirit of eternal life in the form of the "earnest money" The Holy Spirt." I hold out the possibility that I have failed to understand the scriptures correctly and I am open to correction.

Eternal Security is a doctrine of demons. If God didn't spare the natural Jews, why would he spare us?
    He wouldn't. Romans 11:19-22
If God didn't spare lot's wife, after delivering her from destruction, why would he spare you?
If God didn't spare the jews, He delivered from Moses that returned to Egypt in their heart, why would he spare you?
He won't, if we do not abide in Him we will be cut off. John 15:6.
Our security in Him is based on doing our part for him. Obeying his commandments, 1Jo 2:3-5 this isn't the commandments of men like the Catholic Church has. This is obedience to Christ, which Hebrews 11, Romans 12:1, gal 5:17-24, Eph 5:1-7 all explain.
Without holiness no one will see the Lord. This isn't imputed, it's an expected fruit of the spirit from submitting to God, and resisting the devil *every day* .
If eternal security we're true, why did Paul warn about vain doctrines of men, from empty speakers leading to us losing the inheritance?
You can't explain it, you jus ignore them because God has given you over to a strong delusion and a doctrine of demons.

@@nerolucille5468 a person who believes in Jesus and trust him is secured, BUT that person has not lost his/her capacity of rejecting him. Therefore, yes, that person CAN lose salvation. That's why the full message of the bible contains warnings. Will that person lose salvation? You and I don't know, that is something only that person and Jesus know. Let us believe the full message, not a partial one.

Faith & works go together folk's. You can believe that you can't lose you're salvation all you want as I am sick of that same' ole situation. Let me ask you this. So I just got saved and I am happy. I love God , but I live a worldly life and I sin , drink , commit adultery , fornicate , am a drunkard , then because of grace I automatically get a ticket too heaven ??? That isn't how it works. Jesus came as the sacraficial lamb too pay for our sin. But that doesn't mean we can sin and gain heaven. That grace teaching is causing a lot of people too err.

Lol !!! Explain it away. It is true that it is a free gift from God. But if you get saved , and you do not repent of you're sin you automatically go to heaven ?? Um' No ! Faith without work's is dead. It doesn't matter how we are , or because we go too church or do good thing's. But sin is the transgressions of the law. For the wages of sin is death. Jesus came too pay for our sin but doesn't mean we can continue in sin heaven forbid there there remains no more sacrifice for sin. Not everybody that say lord lord will enter into the kingdom of heaven but he that do the will of the father. If anybody think's just because they confessed that Jesus died and rose again is all they have too believe and they automatically go to heaven I fell sorry for you. It doesn't work like that and then you explained about how you can get you're name blotted out. Do not believe man , but God. Some man preaching in the pulpit doesn't mean he is teaching you properly. Test the spirit , read the Bible and compare everything he says. It isn't gonna be a cakewalk into heaven folk's. We must first get saved , the repent of all sin and then keep Gods laws & commandments and be obedient and righteous and then we will be his. Sure , you may sin but you can be forgiven as long as you do not continue in it. Funny how so many do not know God. God is all knowing , loving , but what he wants the most is that we just love him , obey him , believe on him , that is what he wants. By doing his will he will bless you and you shall see heaven.

Your title🤔 Sir you may not want to accept it, but your message is in error. Humble yourself to God pray sincerely with an open mind. Salvation is freeeeee. We do nothing to earn it but to just accept it with joy, gratitude, worship etc. However, God wants us to share in the joy of working out our Salvation by faith in Jesus through fear and trembling. Please don't be like the Pharisees who refuse the truth because Jesus didn't come and act the way they expected. 1Corinth 15:58 "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord." Clearly you must DO something. If someone gives you a brand new house free and clear do you expect that person to clean it and maintain it for you? That's ingratitude, lazy, mindless, faithless, unfruitful just like the man with one talent in Jesus' parable. Having your own way the easy way out instead of God's will. Eternity is a long time easy street won't get none of us there. Jesus said to take up your cross and follow Him

A dirty house is still a house. At least he has the free house. But jesus blood is forever. What we do in this life according to works has nothing to do with the free gift just loss of rewards yet the believer will still be saved. When all Christian are judged by there works. The bible says all who believe will be saved. SALVATION is apart from works.

“Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.”

Why do some people refuse to understand the grace of God and refuse to believe that His gift is FREE. Yes, Godly living is good, and it is necessary if we are to fulfill His purposes for us on earth or fellowship with other believers. But God does not break His promise, once He has given you eternal life, you have eternal life. There is nothing you can do to add to what Jesus has already paid. Nothing a person can do is worth anything compared to the precious blood of our Savior. Trust in Him--Believe Him--Receive the free gift that it is! Live holy because we love Him, but when (not if) I fall short, my eternity is still secure because it is HIS righteousness that covers us. TRUST IN HIS BLOOD AND HIS MERIT ALONE. Neither the devil, nor you, nor your sin can overcome the power of the blood of Jesus or the promise of God to keep us once He has sealed us with His Spirit.
Do all those other things out of love for Him, but trust His promise that His salvation is eternal and irrevocable.
This legalistic view of having to add to what Christ has done is like the Israelites begging to return to their slavery in Egypt. They were liberated and God was living among them, yet they refused to accept HIS daily provision and begged to return to where they had been in bondage, because it was familiar.
No one is saying sin is OK. But nothing you have or do is as valuable as the blood of Jesus, which washed all your sin away when you first trusted Him. Understand grace. Jesus paid it all. There may be earthly consequences for all the things you do or don't do, but none of them will be losing your eternal life.
