Back in the day when I was in the army, we got to eat only once a day when out in the forest/swamp in the winter. I brought so much of my own food there and canned tuna in oil was great and it horrified others that I drank the oil and licked the can.
I lost 15-20kg of mostly muscles in 3-4 months. I can not stress how hungry I was. (It also included 5 days that I could not eat because sick and so sore throat that I could not even speak with 39-40C fever)
Also plus side of tuna in oil compared to tuna in water. Oil didn't freeze as easily.
As someone who has filled fryers with oil multiple times, that is terrifying to think about. Those containers are huge…

I think one of my favorite things about Doug's videos is that there almost always seems to be like an A plot about what he's doing on stream and then a B plot if whatever the hell twitch chat is on about.
Like A plot of speedrunning skyrim, but also B plot of olive oil.

Depending on what kind of olive oil he's taking shots of, one makes a lot more sense tasting bad than the other. Extra virgin stuff is the kind you eat as is on salads and stuff because it has a milder flavour, non virgin olive oil has a harsher taste and is mainly used in cooking where the other flavours can mask the less appealing flavour of the oil.

In the spirit of Doug's Lore, he should start a new category: Divorce%. Exactly the same as marriage%, but the time ends when you kill your spouse or otherwise end your relationship. I think it would really revitalise the speedrunning community.
It’s incredible that Skyrim is as old as it is and is still replayable. The music may be nostalgic enough to make me cry now, but Skyrim will always be one of my favorite games.

I've been speedrunning this IRL. Turns out i'm pretty shit at speedrunning. 19 years and haven't even gotten a girlfriend yet. This is looking like potentially a sub 30 run at best.

He's doing this literally to drink calories like how we can drink soda and Gatorade for sugar and protein shakes for protein. It isn't hard to find fat, it's just easier to eat plain fat. Every other source of fat requires time to collect and cook, and shots of olive oil are rhe most efficient time wise. Pork takes 10 minutes to cook and then another 5 to eat, 500 calories. 5 shots of olive oil takes 45 seconds to drink, 500 calories.

Why not increase the fat intake there? Add a few extra slices of ham to your sandwich. Put some extra cheese on your pasta. *Put more olive oil in the pan when frying things.* Heck, a nice bag of almonds could get you those 500 calories.

I played Skyrim for the very first time recently, and made a khajit character. I did a couple quests then found a Khajiit sympathizer and married her only to never return to that save file, he settled down immediately and is freeloading off a woman he just met.

I'm loving these more chat oriented streams being turned into videos, where the chat plays a bigger role than the game at some points. It's really entertaining. Part of why I love Doug's videos is how much chat interaction there is. Don't get me wrong I still love the normal style of videos and I don't think these would do very well as main channel vids.

@@skeetsmcgrew3282 I have tried this though. I needed a liquid diet on keto after teeth were pulled. I mixed mine in protein shakes though cause shots are gross. It was temp though. But its still a casual snack. You don't cook a steak every time you want a snack on regular diets, you just open a bag of chips.
