Tomorrow afternoon I pick up my ACURA A-Spec SH-AWD in black. Trading in my BMW for it. I love the way it drives plus the service bills will be significantly less.
Honestly my TLX feels very firm. I test drove an a4 and I felt my tlx handled much better. I went into it wanting a 3 series or a4 but I test drove this car and it totally won me over
I was considering it but, the rear dimensions removed it from my list. Since they knew they were discontinuing the RLX you would think that they would have made the new TLX encompass the RLX and TLX spots in their line up. That's what they did with the TSX and the last TL. 🤷🏽♂️
Well Acura is technically a premium brand rather than a full-on luxury brand. So basically it's the walmart great value brand of luxury. At least this is a better upgrade compared to older last gen Acura models that used fake wood/plastic
I don’t understand the fact that Honda accourd is a little bit shorter form the outside yet the inside feel big but in the Acura they got a little longer but the inside is smaller don’t know why
I saw a review that said if you push the voice control button on the steering wheel, it activates the Acura voice control. But if you press and hold that same button, it activates Google or Siri if your phone is connected. Pretty cool.
Blue toilet paper 7:36. Wut?? Also, I love the design of this car, and if it were built in Hybrid, I would have bought it. The mileage is about as bad as my crappy 2009 car. It's sad.
Aside from the center console being way too wide and tall - restricting the driver's ability to move their right leg while on cruise - the dashboard layout is simply hideous. All that said, I assume for $50k that it drives good.
I really wanted to buy this car with so many great attributes and made in Ohio is a plus for me. However there were two deal breakers. The trunk is abnormally small and the back space is cramped for even average adults. I prefer cars because their lower center of gravity and power and handling capabilities, but the field is very limited so I'll probably go with second choice RDX.
It's so interesting... I watched a review yesterday for this car and someone said it was maybe the biggest truck they've ever seen on a sedan. Haha. Another review said average, and you're saying it's so small you won't buy it! I'm not sure what to expect when I get mine!
The rear end is a mess. So mad that it took them a decade to still put out a fwd platform. A 4,000lb plus Accord with awd and cramped back seat. I actually prefer the Accord with its touch screen and non gigantic mode knob that takes up.the whole center of the dad on the TLX. I would go Genesis G70 over this with the 3.3TT that is priced less than this and receiving a huge update this year/ before the Type S. As a former Acura owner there cars have become to fat to ever be considered great and dynamic
I think you missed this, but the underpinnings for this new TLX are Acura exclusive, no more Honda Accord platform sharing. The G70 you’re comparing for the price doesn’t come with the same technology that this advanced model has. The G70 with the 3.3T starts at 49,225 $, while this TLX advanced is 48,800$ and it includes 360 Camera, heated rear seats, heads up display... which the G70 3.3T doesn’t include... the G70 3.3T PRESTIGE package includes that and it starts at 52,075$.
How can a car be fat? You mean it’s heavier than your liking? Also it only share the engine with the Accord and even that is tuned differently in the TLX everything else is exclusive to the TLX. And the G70 cost more than this what are you talking about?
It doesn't look that great. And that infotainment system is pure garbage. Infotainment touch pads and dials are unintuitive and dangerous to use while driving. Just give the people what they want... a touch screen. Faster and safer to accomplish all tasks.
Disagree on the looks majorly. I haven't seen a sedan that looks better in a long time. Just my opinion, obviously. As for the touch thing... How is a pad where you don't have to reach or look more dangerous? The whole point is so you can keep your eyes on the road and not have to reach for a screen and fiddle with it. I think this is safer once you're accustomed to it.
@@dansourile5444 Would you want a touch pad to control your cell phone? Android and Apple are designed for touch. Those teams understand user interface design better than Acura.
@@dansourile5444 Imagine this: You're driving, using navigation and listening to a podcast. You need to switch from Nav to Spotify, change stations and go back to Nav. The touch pad will not make this easier or safer. No way.
I saw this car driving down the road and sorry but it's not attractive. It's awkward and ugly looking. Too big and wide. Reminds me of Buicks from early 2000s. Sorry Acura
Lenscrafters is still taking appointments, even during COVID. You should make an appointement, hop in your Pontiac Aztec and head on down to get those eyes checked. The '21 TLX is gorgeous. Get your new glasses and come enjoy its beauty with the rest of us.
@@a32tl if that was your best attempt you failed miserably... It was literally the Acura TLX of jokes. The new Cadillac CT 4/5 The Lexus IS. Any of the Germans. Are far more attractive designs then this attempt.
To be honest the interior is above Lexus IS and INFINITI Q50 and on par with Audi and BMW, but still underneath Mercedes and Genesis so Id say it fits in pretty well. Layout is personal preference though.
@@AFCompany I think the interior for the TLX is better than the Genesis G70 which it competes with. The TLX interior is just a tad step down from the C-Class interior.
Love the '21 TLX! Acura has done a great job. Now, let us have a Type S model with all the features available on the Advance package.
THAT FRONT IS SO GOOD IT LOOKS SO AGRESSIVE
My favorite sedan front end right now! It's gorgeous.

I'm really interested in 2 vehicles and the new TLX is one of them, and the other one is the new 2022 MDX.
Good job young man
I want in red plz but type S 😉
Acura is heading in the right direction this car is awesome though should be rwd and more leg room in back.

They did not extend the wood paneling to rear doors. That’s a cheap move.
Well Acura is technically a premium brand rather than a full-on luxury brand. So basically it's the walmart great value brand of luxury. At least this is a better upgrade compared to older last gen Acura models that used fake wood/plastic

Ahhhh I want 🤤

Does it have a voice activated infotainment system? Great review!
It does. I have the ASpec version of this.

i would wait for type s , the accords transmission which is in the tlx has delay in gear ratio in certain times when it changes to 2nd to 3rd ...
I can't wait to test drive and buy one
I saw this car on the road and all I focused on was that humongous sensor in the front. 😂 finally got rid of the beak and replaced it with a snout.
I want the type s so bad but I know its going to be like 55k maybe even 60k a lil bit out of my range

Shop towels. Durable, can run them through the wash and they're still in one piece. We use them to clean up the cars on shoots.

I'm not totally sold that this frame isn't based on the accord, somehow.
They really messed up by not including a full digital gage cluster
Acura 👍🏻

The 2.0T loaded can compete with the price wise, it zero chance the 3.3T can. I know because I'm shopping those two vehicles right now.
